    I had to replace my clutch kit as for some reason the bolt fell out and then the splines were destroy on the outer clutch plate. Anyways it was a 2015. The biggest advantage you will give your self when servicing the clutch is remove the 4 compressor main bolts that attach it to the engine. It will allow you to turn the whole AC upward allowing you a far better way of working on it. Also, remove the main rad hose to get it out of the way. Doing this simple step allowed access to the ring clips, kept from losing any of the washers etc. A nightmare without keeping the AC in place.

      2015 Duramax? My 2016 LML duramax the bolt came out but the magnet held on to the pulley. It’s a reverse thread bolt. Fix that last year and now the compressor just took a dump today. Good thing I have one in the garage, but still wtf..

    Hello. Thanks for the nice video. My car is Fiat Bravo 2008 1.6 diesel and since I have it I have issues with unstable rough idle, more noticeable in the summer. I tried a lot of thing with this car and no improvement, visited a lot of mechanics, diagnostics etc and nobody can't find the issue. Having in mind that the rough idle is more noticeable in the summer I started to think if there is a problem with my air conditioning and more specifically sticking AC clutch or something like this. Last 1-2 weeks my car was working fine (I am not using AC anymore as it is not hot), so a few days ago I turned on the AC and I didn't noticed any issue, but after around 20 minutes I had to drive my car again and after starting it again the rough idle was there again. So is it possible my AC clutch to be sticking for some reason even after the AC is turned off and this to cause the rough idle? Thanks in advance!

    I have a question what are the two cylinders over the A/C compressor?

    • @zmotorsports62
      @zmotorsports62  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is not actually part of the compressor. That is part of the suction/discharge hose and manifold assembly. It's like a drier, think of it as catching the last possible bit of liquid refrigerant coming from the evaporator and accumulator before it can enter the compressor.

    putting pulley in the sun on concrete,well in California and putting bearing in freezer for 15-20 min (just try it) no press no stress

    • @zmotorsports62
      @zmotorsports62  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I've done the heat/cool components as well. In the industrial industry that I have worked in for nearly 30 years now I generally use a bearing heater but for light interference fits as long as you press on the correct part of the bearing you are safe and not inducing any damaging forces into the bearing.
      Thanks for watching the video.

    Maybe this is a dumb question, but did you take a nut off before you pulled the ac hub off?

    • @zmotorsports62
      @zmotorsports62  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the nut on the shaft must be removed, then the puller is threaded into the bore of the clutch hub and presses against the compressor shaft which in turn presses the clutch hub off.

    I have a 2002 GMC Sierra 2500 HD Duramax and I have been trying to find a AC Clutch coil I’m not sure there is an actual replacement for this specific model of AC compressor. The delphi 7067 is virtually impossible to find.

    • @zmotorsports62
      @zmotorsports62  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I couldn't find the clutch/coil/bearing assembly which is why I replaced the bearings separately.
      I'm not positive but I think you have to purchase a complete compressor to get the clutch components.
      Good luck and thank you for watching.

    I’ve got the same exact compressor and clutch. I would assume if the out side part of the clutch won’t spin freely, nor engage the compressor, then my compressor is frozen and needs to be replaced?

    • @zmotorsports62
      @zmotorsports62  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you are referring to the pulley where the belt runs then that would more than likely be the outer bearing if it won't turn.

    • @redneck24-65
      @redneck24-65 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@zmotorsports62 no, that part spins freely with the serpentine belt. It’s the clutch part that engages the compressor that won’t spin, I’m assuming it’s the compressor itself that’s frozen if the outside part doesn’t spin

      After a couple hours scouring the net and making calls I was finally able to get a solid answer from Delphi, maker of the "AC Delco" compressor with the 3 eye hub.
      From 01 to 03 GM decided to use two different compressors for the 2500HD (as well as others)
      The Delphi and a Denso compressor.
      If you are fortunate enough to have thw Denso compressor the Four Seasons clutch kit will work for you. If you have the Delphi you are OUT OF LUCK for ANY new parts support.
      Trust me I looked everywhere.
      The only two options if you want to keep your Delphi pump is to scavange parts from a donor rig or buy a complete Delphi compressor. Yup you can get a brand spankin new Delphi with a brand spankin new clutch but you cant just buy the clutch.

      Joselino Liaz you can purchase them from most tool companies/vendors of various quality. The set I have I purchased from my local NAPA store a few years ago and it has been a very good set. A little tip no matter which brand you purchase is to put a little oil on the threads to help reduce the friction and prolong the life of the tool. Actually I do this on all of pullers and have had excellent results compared to co-workers who use nothing.
