    I changed out my system last year at this time. The compressor I bought from AutoZone has taken a crap. Oil appears to be flinging out of the clutch area and now no cold air. Fortunately has a two-year warranty, but unfortunately, I'm dealing with this again! Maybe I missed it in your video, but it is very important to "burnish" the clutch. That means when you first start the engine, you turn the a/c on and off several times rapidly to "burnish" the clutch. This mates the clutch surface removing all the coating. You'll see some sparks fly during this process. Also, when I replaced my condenser there is an inline filter near the condenser. Out of curiosity I cut that tube section on the old one and to my surprise it was totally blocked! No wonder my old one didn't work any longer! Another thing I learned when filling with system with the DIY cans. You just vac'd the system to remove any moisture in the system. YOU need to purge the short lines from the can to the fill port or you'll be adding moisture back in from the air in the line. Just saying! All that money and work, you don't want to have to do it all again! If you're changing the compressor, dryer and condenser, change the lines too! The only thing I didn't do was get behind the firewall to change that accumulator.

      Good information. Mine is still doing great. My compressor actually cycled on and off so many times in a short span that my controls in the cab threw an error code. So my clutch got burnished. Yeah, I didn't change my evaporator behind the firewall either. Thanks for watching!

      I have a 5.3 LS truck engine with a new DENSO compressor thats mounted low on the passenger side like it fit in the truck. The engine idles at 500 rpm and I can’t even hear the compressor running. My dual exhaust and flowmasters aren’t the quietest either. I replaced every ac component and like you my ac seemed to have good pressures with less than the amount of 134a than I thought I needed.

    • @ForceBuilt
      @ForceBuilt  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Everything works as it should. The biggest problem I see is the compressor is noisy at anything below 1k rpm. Really annoying. I would check your orifice. If it is blocked that will cause high pressure to be too high. Thanks for watching.

    Question for you. My 1993 had propane and the original compressor. It went out 2 weeks ago and I replaced everything but the hard lines and the evaporator core in the cab and went to r134a. I'm just not getting cold air. 60º out the vents and its 82º today and 75% humidity here in alabama. my readings on the gauges is 44 low side and 212 high side which is great. I even took the blower out and cleaned the evaporator core. 60º isnt cutting it and all the money I have spent is not making me that happy what could I be missing?
