    I have the same lower already SBR’ed with a Sig Kate Moss stock from when I had a BRN 180S on it. Still debating a rattler or the 9” upper.

    • @GearAndGuns
      @GearAndGuns  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@Rudyelf1 Nice. I chose the rattler because I already have an 11.5 5.56 upper. The 9” is so close to the 11.5 it would almost be like the same gun so I wanted the shortest package possible and went with the rattler lt. I’ve thought about almost getting the original rattle because it’s shorter but I’ve heard that it has key holing issues (rounds turning sideways), I think they fixed that on the rattler lt. Ive also been having some problems with my geissele Ssa-e trigger when running this upper. Might have to get an sig trigger but you may not have that problem. If you’re trying to get the most distance out of your upper using supers and you don’t already have a shorter 556 then the 9” might make more sense for you. 10.3 and 11.5 556s are common and if you want to build one of those in the future or depending on your use case then I’d recommend the rattler. To be honest, I wish I would’ve gotten the whole rattler lt firearm with the sig lower because having this trigger problem is really upsetting. I might swap this lower out for a 10.3 build and try to get the sig lower in the future for the rattler.

    The PWS is going to be a better rifle but the cool factor of this one is a little higher

    • @GearAndGuns
      @GearAndGuns  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@moderngunguy3666 I didn’t like how pws was a long stroke piston, more mass reciprocating, also didn’t like the picatinny sections at the end of the hand guard. Not a big deal, but it’s also 9.75”. Longer than this. The 3 adjustable gas positions is nice. I’m sure it’s a good rifle. I was looking for compactness for this build, wanted something small since I already have an 11.5 5.56. Cool factor is higher on this or the badger but honestly don’t really care about something being cool, I try to focus on function, use case and practicality.

      @ Took out the trigger in the lower receiver, cleaned the trigger and my lower receiver, re installed it, re lubed it up. Tried multiple dry fires, trigger functions normally about 80 to maybe 90% of the time. Pretty sure this combination damaged and or broke my trigger. Pretty much got lied to by sig with them saying you can just slap this upper on your mil spec lower (implying you can use whatever you want). I haven’t been able to live fire this more to see what the trigger does. Only 2 options are to buy one of sigs triggers or to try to buy a whole sig lt lower. If you are contemplating purchasing the conversion kit or buying the entire gun, save up and buy the entire gun. I regret not purchasing the whole sig firearm. Especially if you’re going to sbr it.
