  • Today we take apart the Ryft to make sure the diffs have fluid in them. Imagine that they didnt. Lol. So be sure and check yours out if you buy one.

    I like how the hex is held in place. Great job showing how to lube the diffs, transmission and the overall breakdown of the Axial Ryft. You did a great job keeping everything in focus and did an excellent job narrating. 👍👍

    We want the low gear so we can use it more like a crawler. Once we get the ride height lower this chassis would make a killer crawler

      @@eijneB06 I plan to cut the battery tray up a little bit so the servo can truck up a little bit more and run my battery sideways.

    Very informative video. I want to get a Ryft so I've been watching a lot of vids. I have a large collection and realized all ways check the diffs on Horizon rc, s. I've had a few the diffs were dry. Great video.

      Thanks. Hoping the revised axle housings fix the snapped axle issues

    Took my front diff apart a few days ago, and its toast, kinda graphite sludge look to it when I opened it up, teeth are chewed up, looking at my few options now, lockers?, enjoyed the video, part of the fun is working on them and learning. thanks.

      Yes. Get lockers. Vitavon and Axial both have them.

    The owners manual says they are supposed to have 1 million weight diff oil. It's like a super stiff almost solid/liquid weird fluid lol. It's like an ultra thick grease like the mentioned.

    Crazy they don’t put fluid in them. I’m looking forward to the kit version, but the axle housings are quite concerning. The LMT ones seem to have inexpensive braces (cheap metal ones on Amazon) or the Freestyle RC carbon ones are reasonable too. I’m not a fan of slapping $400 in metal axle housings on something just because. The Ryft axles do not look like they can be braced though which is tough. Some metal hose clamps might work🤣

      Lol. Truth there. I have housings on hand if they break. So far i havent broken them. Running video coming soon. This thing is nuts

    Do you have a link for the new spools Axial came out with the differentials in the Ryft. I haven’t heard of that being available yet. I’d appreciate that thank you. Tom at RC,N@THELAKE. South Lake Tahoe CA.

    What gets better if you do this?

    • @DixielandRC
      @DixielandRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Main thing is to make sure there is fluid in the diffs. Sometimes the factory forgets to do it. So its a good idea to check.

    What kind of hex set do you use for your drill?
