Yes I admit that I should have had one of these in the 70's , but better late than never. Right?

I always found that being a little stiffer made getting it in and out easier, or at least getting it in easier.

Thanks for your vid. I have the 152OT and the 152OTL wich is the larger version. I got the large one last year before hunting season and loved the way the large performed. It probably took me around 3 minutes skinning a large doe. The way to use this knife is with a loose grip with index finger riding towards the tip with a touch and down motion between Hyde and flesh that you can't separate by hand.
The bad. What I thought was a brass pin was was not, those are brass covers, under the brass caps there are hex head screws, the Chicago screws are the cheapest that money can buy! The glue they use to secure the brass caps to secure them to the Chicago screws makes it nearly impossible to get a tiny hex in them to remove. Once removed, the scales are hollow. The amount of dried blood from processing 3 deer with this knife under the scales was astounding to me.
I'm either going to get bigger brass Chicago screws to put scales back on after I fill them in. Or, send to a knife maker and put glued on micarta scales with Chicago screws so I never have to worry about hygiene.
These knives have so much potential, if it was D2 with micarta scales I'd gladly pay 40-50 bucks for it!

What would you fill in the hollow scales with? I may do it to mine.

You start putting those "divots " on and youll find out the handle is mostly hollow. Kind of honeycomb. I taking mine off right now and replacing it. I may polish the blade first. Idk . I've done this with one other Sharpfinger. I put G 10 scales on it. It makes a world of difference. I'm probably gonna put walnut scales on this one with some liners. They are hear treated. 😅 It's hard to add a middle pin . There's actually tiny screws in the handle. Those are caps. It's cheaply made. The steel is the equivalent of a 440 American steel. Not terribly bad.

They are good knives and have a lot of uses in the woods. Nice chicken there also.😊

The ole 'in and out', nudge nudge, wink wink. Yes, I picked up a couple of these a few years ago, and gifted one to a buddy with a couple of teen aged boys. If they lost or broke it, no tears shed. Thanks, and enjoy.

I picked one of these up last year because, hey, I didn’t have one. Lol
I remember seeing these at a lot of stores in my youth. Now I have it and it didn’t cost a fortune! Go crazy on yers Johnny and mod the “buck” out of it!

Got one from Amazon last week for 16 bucks
I'm not a hunter and I won't be skinning animals with it
Probably won't really use it all that much
But I like knives and I wanted one
Quality seems fine and for that price ?
    No brainer

Of all of the knife content makers on YT (and rumble) there is nobody more perfect to explore the possibilities of this knife than Dr. Juke. I've long been intrigued by the Sharpfinger but didn't get one until recently. I still haven't managed to wrap my head around the knife that was advertised "for small elephants and large squirrels." I'm really looking forward to seeing where this goes.

Jimping on that would be perfect being a smaller knife. Jimping tutorial? Great vid 👍

Thanks for the video and review Johnny. I've heard that "Old Timer" is now making some of their knives in the USA and out of 1095 steel. Not sure about the Sharpfinger though. It is a cool knife and looks like it would be a good skinner. You really got it Sharp!

The 152 OTG "Generational series" knives are made in the USA, by Bear and Sons I've heard. I bought one. It is a very interesting knife. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Juke-ified version.

With mine, I noticed that nowhere on the knife, sheath, box, etc. was “Schrade” mentioned. I know that Schrade stuff went to China, but is Old Timer no longer affiliated with the Schrade name?

I’ve been seeing a US made release in 1095 steel like the ones of old...
