I have my Sharpfinger that my Wife got me for Christmas in the late 80s. Still made in the USA and still holds a great edge. Sadly they’re all imports now, but this knife was on my belt for years when I hunted.
I found one for very cheap online in a gift box with leather sheath... an unlikely place, but will see when it arrives about the old USA carbon steel of this deer skinning knife favorite....
I was just given this the other day by someone who found it buried in their garage. The thing looks brand new! No rust anywhere and the sheath literally looks like it was just taken out of the box. It looks just like this one with Schrade U.S.A. 152 on the blade. I collect knives and this one somehow eluded my attention. I would like to know what the steel is. Definitely has a Buck 110 feel to it I think - I carry a 3 dot 110 on my belt daily. I'll have to put this to the test on camping and hunting trips.
I found this one in my Uncles old hunting bag. It holds an edge fine but is discolored and very dark looking. Anyone have an idea how to bring the metal back?
Thanks for the video. I have the 152 with the same stamping on the blade. The sheath looks the same except for the scratches on mine. Do you recall when you purchased your 152?
Lol. I have heard those same yells here! My collection started when I was going to buy a nice rifle, but the more I thought about it, with the added expense of ammo and range costs, I decided to start a knife collection that I would get far more use and enjoyment from for the money. No regrets either as I can use them every day and carry a different one whenever I feel like it. Sounds like you have a good collection going there. Glad you like the videos.
one of my all time favorite fixed blade knifes:) the really early models had a shoulder strap holding the knife in rather then a loop like yours
Thank you for the info, I knew there was some difference there somewhere.

Matt is your sheath like the one in the video, or does it have the single fold over retention strap? Thanks, Rich
@@drivesideways6550 Mine has the same strap as the one in the video.
What a beautiful knife Thanks

When I was a kid Guns and Ammo Magazine gave you this knife for free with a subscription .
Thanks for watching!
Just got one today at Walmart for $19.95. It's made in China but seems very nice. Time will tell.
Any update on how your knife is holding up?

I have a custom knife made after the sharp finger in 5160 steel with ebony covers!!
Nice! I bet that looks good! Great design.
I think 5160 is my favorite steel now. I have the Ontario RD6, RD7, RD9 and RD Tanto all in 5160.
Do you own all of the knives you have showcased?
Yes, these are all of my knives.
I have around 30 knives and my wife yells at me for having too many lol. Your collection is awesome keep up the videos!

My sharpefinger is from the 70s i got mine from a Vietnam vet
Cool story Mauricio! Does your Sheath look like the one in the video, or does it have the single retention strap to hold the knife in?
Best way to fight,/defend w this knife. Better at slashing or stabbing

Muy bonita herramienta .

The 152OT unfortunately is Chinese made compared to the older 152
Made in China today. I would pay more for USA made.
