Glad to see a new USA model. I've had an old USA one since the 70s. Its a great timeless design and still going strong. Thanks for the video.

I prefer the look of the bone handles but the durability of the delrin. The new Sharpfinger blade is more attractive and sharpened better towards the handle end. 1095 steel is a plus. The price of the Generational Series is disappointing. I think $50-60 is appropriate for the fixed blades and $35-45 for the folders.

I just got mine . It has the dark bone handle , but it has some irregularities in the shape , like it was sanded down in spots at the top of the handle . Not a straight line . Kind of disappointed in the quality control for a USA knife and a premium price . My handle should have been rejected .

The bone handle isn't bad, but i've seen other reviews on this one and the colour is pretty consistent on them; they all are lighter brown then on the site. Steel is great and for intended use a super choice. Thank you for the review.

A lot of people are balking at the price of these knives. They want made in the USA but are upset that the price isn’t under 20 bucks. I think these are falling right in the Case price point. Now, that being said, I want a better level of fit and finish if I pay that much for a knife and that’s where the issue lies for me. Do I think that the Sharpfinger is worth 60 bucks? For bone handles and 1095, yes. Is the Chinese version significantly worse? No, but that’s the consumer’s decision based on what they value and their budget.

Theres a real cognitive dissonance with those kindve comments thats confusing when you understand the production side. People want MiUSA quality without the cost?? Americans are way too comfortable paying slave wages funding sweat shops in "shithole countries" for their 5 dollar Tshirts and 15 dollar knives to know what these things are ACTUALLY worth when they are made in America. People in the old days used to save up for quality items. We as a country are flooded with cheap and easy and its affected the average persons perception of material goods.

I was doing a little research on this knife. I came across one at a pawnshop. But there’s a slight difference in mine. Instead of saying Schrade 152 on the same side of the blade, mine has shred on one side of the blade, and then 1520T on the other side of the blade. Any thoughts to why it would be stamped differently?

If you are trying to skin a few animals I believe both will work just as equally well. But if you are trying to use the knife for a decade and maybe pass it on, the USA made one’s are the way to go. That is just my opinion. I wish I could simulate years of use on a knife haha

Mmm. Kinda ugly bone there. Maybe if you oil the handles they’ll darken up. ? Spose you could dye them, maybe with leather dye, for a rich, warm brown. I can’t afford new USA-made knives, so this one is not for me. The design looks cleaner on the new one, but the sheath is better on the old one. The little booklet is good marketing. And spud slicing is a nice change from paper cutting. Thanks!
