Just bought mine today for my almost the exact Grand Cherokee same color and everything except mine is a 2019 but looks identical. Limited X 5.7 hemi the guys at Larkin Motors are installing it for me hopefully soon. I’m excited to hear it.

How is it compared to the stock mufflers with valves closed?
Is it just as quiet as when it was stock? Or a bit louder?

Hey, I've got the same car pretty much, did you leave the big middle muffler in? I'm intending to leave it in, unlike what they did here because I don't want it any louder when in valves closed mode.
@valvetronic Did you guys just do red>red black>black splice split and hardwire tap them into the rear cigar outlet? I did that today on my 2020 Jeep GC SRT and it blows the 20amp fuse under the hood. Curious if you guys did something different with a fuse tap or something?

Boston let’s get it.. which exhaust shop did you go to? Seems pretty close to Lou’s. I’m looking into this setup for my AMG GLB35. I did the axle back on my M3 and I agree with you doing the resonator delete they need a little bit more sound but ultimately I like the fact that I can go back to stock sound

Man this was the only way to get a car legally louder than stock here in Germany and now they out right banned the possibility of getting them homoligated. Realy gotta move to the US lol

Trust me that love you're feeling last about an hour then it turns into a dearly sick version of hate deep in the pit of your soul when you hear everybody and their grandma rolling around in a Honda civic with a loud ass muffler or even worse a work truck loaded with carpet or some other shit all loud as fuck with aftermarket exhaust like it's on its way to a track meet... Shits lame and these types here where you have the option to quiet it down should be required and people who have loud ass exhaust should get a ticket if they're doing it between the hours of like 9pm to 9am or some shit
@@drwombat Yeah it's true I'm in Jersey & guys here do this all day long, I mean some are so loud when they pop it literally sounds like gun shots or machine gun fire, now I do like a nice growl but alot of them are just too loud.

Most systems with the key fobs can be programmed to you cars OEM garage door opener buttons. I have seen a few videos of people with exhaust cutout kits doing that.
It's easy to do by integrating the remote inside the car and supplying power with a transformer to 5v

How different is the open valve sound compared to as if you were running just straight tubing? Considering getting these but I don't want to lose that raw sound you get with straights.
It’s the exact same as a straight pipe when the valves are open
nothing changes when the valve opens, would be straight pipe still, that's the purpose
I didn't know the install with this easy I thought you had to run it to an existing vacuum line on the car. Can you manually open and close the valves? I may just have the exhaust shop put these on and leave the valves closed until I install this myself. Also can I just hook up this box to my exisiting stereo system in my trunk using the acc wire?
Yes and Yes. If you are mechanically able to hook it up we recommend wiring yourself to save money.

I’m thinking about buying this, however would it work well with my car? It’s a 2019 Acura TLX A-Spec V6 SH-AWD. I know I’d need 2 mufflers but I have no cigarette/charger connector in my trunk like that jeep does. I guess my question is will I have to do some creative installation to get the tubing and the control box to plug up in my trunk?
2 mufflers, and the plug doesn’t need to be in the teunk
I had the 18 TLX aspec & what I did was a muffler & resonator delete but in the mid I did a 2.5 inch flowmaster super 10 & one guy told me it sounded like a charger, so this is another option

Quick question. Want to purchase this for my e39 540 v8. I’ve straight piped the car currently so no cats or mufflers or resonators. It’s way too loud. If I install this, with valves closed and only this will it make it quiet? Close to stock? Or no?
Yes! With valves closed it'll sound very similar to stock

no it doesnt affect it at all. I would let a professional install it

How do you setup the keyfob ? Do you have to use 1 keyfob or 2 cause your using 2 mufflers in this case??..
Only 1. We provide a connector that allows all vacuum lines to be connected as 1
Regarding the vacuum line... It wasn't immediately clear to me where it originated? Did you tap into intake vacuum from the snorkel in front of it TB? or maybe on the other end out by the PCV? Then run it all the way down to the trunk? If not, It almost sounds as if you're pulling vacuum from the trunk which is a total mystery to me.
The system comes with its own vacuum pump to operate the valves

I have a single backbox with two pipes on one side. How can I use this and still keep my twin tips?
You will need the exhaust shop to weld a Y pipe or you can use our single to dual tips

Just a quick note, make sure you get the correct size diameter tubing for the amount of HP your engine makes. There are HP to diameter tubing calculators out there. 3" dual exhaust for less than 750hp. 2.5" dual exhaust for 500hp and less.
do you know in what scenarios i would need 2 mufflers like in the video?
Wish i had 500hp, barely 305 ideally
2.5 is plenty for even over 600+ let alone 750. It’s not till the big big numbers you really need it

@Luis Islas there are a few schools of thought about that. Even Engine Masters tested it. If you have a 2.5" exhaust already and an engine making roughly 600hp you might gain 5-15 horses (they gained 13hp) on the high end well over 5000rpm.
It would be hard to justify redesigning an entire exhaust for relatively minor gains.

$600 for a muffler? I can get an entire Xforce Varex dual muffler catback for less than a grand and not have to mess with welding.

Hey is this muffler quieter than stock when closed and is the open is straight pipes i wanna shoot flames and still be quiet as well. And is there a valved catalytic converter so I can bypass it when I want

You shouldn't run anything through that vent. It closes when driving so the exhaust that inevitably rolls under the bumper from literally every exhaust ever made doesn't go back into the vehicle cabin 🙄.
there are other places to run the line! if you don’t want to use the vents you can use another spot
About how much would y’all guess it would cost for a professional to install these?
Usually anywhere from $100-300 depending on the shop. These prices vary
My shop said they would do it for about $200 (NJ)
