Listen, the last thing you ever want is a dehydrated car. Best practice is whenever YOU drink water, you put at least a litre of water in your gas tank. My car is never thirsty. It also never runs but have yet too figure out the cause.
@Dunk Gan the turbo surge thing is bad for the turbo. it can get damaged because of it. and when the turbo blows and it's metal bits get in the engine and knock about in the combustion chamber and then out it damages valves, pistons, and the stuff in your exhaust like the cat and particulate filter both are usually 500-700 pounds.

because bypass valves are a manufacturing safety standard that doesn’t really have a significant impact for the end user. The car would be fine with the bypass, assuming that’s the only thing that plug/sensor impacts.

This is actually a viable option if you cant afford a turbo kit, but just dont forget to refill the blinker fluid regularly otherwise it can damage the motor.
Anyone that doesn't know this is causing compressor surge, it'll eventually ruin the turbo, could even break the fins off the wheel and send metal threw the engine.
It’ll put more wear on your turbo yes, but it’s a misconception that it’ll completely thrash the impeller. All it does it slow it down slightly when the throttle closes. It’s kinda like blowing air through a fan, but that fan is spinning hundreds of revolutions a second.

That’s a bad idea, That “stututu” sound is called compressor surge and is actually damaging to the turbocharger which will lead to premature turbo failure, not to mention disconnecting any engine management sensors or components will set fault codes in the ecu/pcm for open circuit/range or performance of that particular sensor or component,
Off throttle surge isn't really damaging the turbo though. Lot of race cars doesn't run blow off/recirculating valve and the turbo last a season of racing or more. What really kills turbo is on throttle surge. If you hear that stututu when on throttle, prepare to repair/replace the turbo.

The flutter sound you hear is the air bouncing between the closed throttle body and compressor wheel of the turbo. The turbo is moving so fast that it practicly won’t feel any harm from moving that extra bit of air while on speed. Don’t forget these cars also have a vacuum operated wastegate. So whenever it senses a turbo overspeed of too much pressure through MAF sensor it will go limb mode. These cars are stuffed with safety features.
Wrong. The turbo doesn’t spin against itself. That’s stupid. This isn’t real compressor surge. It’s simply air flowing back over the spinning (normally) blades and getting chopped as it passes by.
Surprisingly it doesn’t. Had to remove mine in my S3 to install my inlet pipe. went to turn the car on , no codes. Put the sensor back in of course when I finished.

This is actually a viable option if you cant afford a turbo kit, but just dont forget to refill the blinker fluid regularly otherwise it can damage the motor.

It’ll put more wear on your turbo yes, but it’s a misconception that it’ll completely thrash the impeller. All it does it slow it down slightly when the throttle closes. It’s kinda like blowing air through a fan, but that fan is spinning hundreds of revolutions a second.

After a prolonged period of time, it could throw a turbine through the engine. Again, all depends on the whole setup, engine, how well the turbo(s) is/are built etc

That’s a bad idea, That “stututu” sound is called compressor surge and is actually damaging to the turbocharger which will lead to premature turbo failure, not to mention disconnecting any engine management sensors or components will set fault codes in the ecu/pcm for open circuit/range or performance of that particular sensor or component,

Off throttle surge isn't really damaging the turbo though. Lot of race cars doesn't run blow off/recirculating valve and the turbo last a season of racing or more. What really kills turbo is on throttle surge. If you hear that stututu when on throttle, prepare to repair/replace the turbo.

The flutter sound you hear is the air bouncing between the closed throttle body and compressor wheel of the turbo. The turbo is moving so fast that it practicly won’t feel any harm from moving that extra bit of air while on speed. Don’t forget these cars also have a vacuum operated wastegate. So whenever it senses a turbo overspeed of too much pressure through MAF sensor it will go limb mode. These cars are stuffed with safety features.

Wrong. The turbo doesn’t spin against itself. That’s stupid. This isn’t real compressor surge. It’s simply air flowing back over the spinning (normally) blades and getting chopped as it passes by.

Surprisingly it doesn’t. Had to remove mine in my S3 to install my inlet pipe. went to turn the car on , no codes. Put the sensor back in of course when I finished.
Check engine light comes on for my VW after you restart the engine. Codes need to be cleared with a code reader to make it go away. worth it.
