I use white nylon stockings. Simply lit from the inside, with whatever color you need and you can tune the appearance by stretching them more or less and using multiple layers. For PvZ zombie eyes, I event stretched it over 3D printed eye globes with holes. Magic!

    Sup Kevin
I recently made a helmet pretty similar to this and I just added some LED panels like the ones you use in your video. However, I can't see! It's so bright that I can only see when I'm in the sun or such. The only solution I could really find is to dim the panels, which is starting to prove a bit difficult. I have to ask, have you experimented with this before? I'm about to try either adding a resistor on the positive wire or use Ni-MH batteries instead of alkaline batteries (which have a lower voltage than alkaline.) Do either of these sound like a good idea or am I just gonna have to suck it up and deal with it?

Hi Kevin! I've been blueprinting and designing a 3D print helmet design, though what I have is a helmet that features an underlying pair of goggles (for reference, its the MCU Vulture), where the eye 'sockets' are rounded rather than squared. Would these LEDs do well regardless, or would they turn out too excessive? I haven't seen any good filled circular LEDs. Thank you for the general technique to apply LEDs here though! Very straight forward.

I wouldn't want to have them on all day, but for short periods they are fine. I think I've worn it for like 20 minutes no problem. You also have to remember, you're going to want to take it off often because it can get hot in there. :P
