You are missing the "shark skin" inserts that go under the twists on the grip cord, a friend of mine uses textured white leather for his costume larp swords, it not only looks awesome but also massively improves the grip quality of the implement
It would be awesome to see an “con aftermath” video. About cosplay repairs and things you can do to make your armor/cosplay last longer once you’ve worn it for 12 hours!
Thats actually very interesting to know that different print plastics have different "glow" quantities. Pretty nice to learn that for future projects, and the "ramp" section for the steel rail plate inside is fantastic. Almost makes me want to rebuild my Genji katana for my Oni skin.
Always so mean to Benny. He deserves a reward for his amazing artistry and endless patience. Maybe you can make HIM a cosplay reward his dedicated servitude?
Great job on the build. And wow, you actually did the handle wrapping authentically. A modern way to help with the wrapping are clamps. Better yet, double-sided tape along the top and bottom.
There's a way to do this same kind of thing on a solid plastic blade so you don't need hollowed out blade shapes. It's a special paint called Lumilor. It has been used on everything from motorcycle helmets and bodywork, to full cars.
I need to learn 3D modeling, it'd make my prop making life so much easier. Plus my printer can run in the background while I do other work, making me twice as productive! Definitely going on my to-do list.
Awesome work! I'm not familiar with the adafruit board, but if you want a lot of effets with your sound and lights, I recommend you check out lightsaber soundboards. I made a larp safe katana with a golden harvest soundboard and the thing is ridiculusly fun to use.
Viel Erfolg in Portugal! Super wie professionell ihr alle social media Platformen gespielt, da könntet ihr noch ein side business draus machen, das Anfängern zu erklären.
Hallo Kamui Cosplay! Ich schreibe als Brazil! Ich denke, dass deine Arbeit wunderbar ist! Es ist super! Ich habe vergessen, was kann ich sagen „I admire your work”, so ich spreche in Englisch! Ich hoffe du arbeitest vielen und hast viele „success”!
It is funny you name is Kamui Becausr my favorite vocaloid is named Kamui Gackpo, and he also had an Katana that not only lights like the hamon in different neon colors but also he can make entire songs with the Katana. Essentially he has Ableton live in the form of a Katana. Could you imagine making something like that?!
It looks absolutely brilliant! Would it have been possible to 3D print multiple sword segments side by side on the same printer platten? Keep doing what you do‼😁👍
Hello!!! My wife introduced me to your channel and we are big fans! My son and I do a lot of 3D printing of Star Wars guns and lightsabers, my question is when you made the acetone/spare plastic is can you keep that mixture for future projects or does it harden over time Thank you so much for any advice❤️
I've been inspired by your very informative videos.. El wire is super easy to use bendable, cut it, program it is a very multi functional material.. . XTC-3D epoxy is a very nice formula ..
can i just say that there may be a way yo even make it a whip, by 3d printing it in several pieces that lock to each other inside, and have a elastic ribbon or rope inside holding the first and last piece that you can push to hold it like a sword or release to let it be whip....sorry just a tough and as I know you are amazing you could definitely pull something like that off...also what an another amazing build
one thing I would love to see you make is Pyramid Head's great rambo knife from Silent Hill, from foam. I'm about to tackle it but some clear guidance would be massively appreciated
It would be so cool if you made one of the armors from "Star Citizens", like the Huston Artimex Armor. It would be a hard task but would get so much praise in the Star Citizen community.
I would be interested in how he hollowed out the Model and prepared it for the LED. Sadly I did not find the tutorial you mentioned, only the "basic" Blender Tutorial... Could you add it please? :)
Thanks for watching! You can download Wild Hearts here: www.inflcr.co/SHH0K
You inspire me so much! I’m in middle school and i’m so new to sewing but i’m excited to get better over the years!
@@lucituci97 Thank you so much and wish you all the best for your journey! 😊

Now I can make Yamato and become the storm that is aproaching
YES you can do it!!! 💪
Add some Lightning features, and that approaching storm will become more powerful than one could possibly imagine.
That's the kind of motivation we thrive for.
Don't forget the chair though

You've reached a whole new level of crafting sophistication: great job!

Amazing as always! Love everything that you craft! Really want to craft my own props and costumes, you just keep on inspiring me to do it myself.
Thanks so much! If you want, just download our Katana model and try it yourself! 😀
This is a genius build! Going to use this as an example for my Tengen Uzui blades.
Yay, good luck and happy the video was helpful! 😊

Great for that Travis Touchdown cosplay

True yes
That is the biggest Katana I have ever seen!

If you keep it airtight it doesn't and if it does You add more acetone:)
I'd really love to see how you made the programming with the sound stuff and what drivers you used and stuff

Question for Benni: How long did the 3D-modeling take you?
Around two days total :)
Awesome thanks for sharing your video
Corgi!
This makes me want to build my own lightsaber. If only I had a 3D printer
Check if there's a maker centre in your area and gain access to one of theirs.
