I'm calling bullshit on this guys video. I just bought a new '24 Pro4X. I am 6'5" tall and I wear a hat whenever I go outside. I can sit in the truck with at least an inch to spare above my head. This guys analysis of the truck is suspect!
Don’t know how else to show it 🤣 like I said man, I’m 6’ tall with a crazy long torso, I sit more upright than most people AND this truck has a sunroof. Most of friends sit way more leaned back than I do, I sit pretty straight up. If you don’t have a sunroof, and lean way back you’re probably fine. I get in my friends trucks and feel like I’m laying down.
I agree this is bs. I can careless about the titan being discontinued but there is no full size truck that a 6 foot persons head would touch the roof. In dimensions its similiar to a standard sized truck in its class.
One miss that you didn't mention, where the Titan does stand out is the warranty...5 year bumper to bumper & 100,000 mile drivetrain and they are USA built.
I’ve owned two Titans (2018 SL 4x4 midnight edition & 2023 Pro-4x with all packages added). The engine is pretty much bulletproof and I have driven all over multiple states on long drives, logging 25-30k miles a year with ZERO issues ever! I have had 4 vehicles with the 5.6 V8 (QX80 & Armada being the other two) and none have ever had issues. This is why I returned to buy another Titan because most people I know with Ram, Chevy or Ford can’t seem to keep their truck out of the shop, I use mine for work and it needs to be dependable. Tried & true technology, ease of use and strong dependability are reasons to buy BUT to your point that is NOT what sells trucks at this price point to 98% of people. The Titan is a simple & straightforward truck for someone who wants to own one to drive until the wheels fall off…in today’s marketplace that is simply not enough for most buyers to stand out.
I have a 2004 Titan and just got a low milage 2023 Titan. I love the Brand. But they should have refreshed one time and called it the Frontier XL to parlay off the Frontier branding they actually pay attention to!
I have this same truck. I agree on the back door opening. I have plenty of room at 6.0 feet tall. I had a ZR2, Silverado, I traded for this. No regrets. I felt like GM ruined the best engine platform out there with stupid ASS & cylinder de - activation. That stuff drove me nuts! I'm paying for 8 cylinders and I want them on all the time. I know it was the EPA, but I don't give a damn. I felt like I was playing roulette with the Chevy. Lifter failures, crank thrust bearings, electrical gremlins, screw that. The Titan isn't as pretty, no digital dash, no electronic steering. Just good old school platform that works. The Rebel's that I looked at were in the 80K range and to get away from that stupid dial shifter on the dash, I had to buy a GT, which no dealer even had! I like Rams a lot. I had a 2018 F- 150 that was flawless before all this engine nuetering BS. There is a lot of choices available and that is a good thing. 😄
No news means they never break down. I just bought a Platnum Reserve for that reason. Im 6.1 ft and dont have the headroom issue. I wanted something different that will last. I see way to many newer American made trucks rusting on the fenders.
I disagree. Truck guys have been saying that they want a truck without cylinder deactivation, auto stop-start, v8 and just a old fashioned truck that does truck stuff and Nissan listened and built the truck that enthusiasts wanted and buyers turned around and bought a v6 f150
@@country_fresh_9194 because the f150 is just overall better thought out. -the truck knows when trailer is attached ( the Titan does not) -the rear back up alarm and emergency braking gets disabled when trailer plugged in (the Titan does not) -the Titan everytime you shift from D-R you have to physically shut off emergency braking and the back up alarm with a button… every time -the blind spot is adjusted for trailer (the Titan cannot) -the Titan has a mechanical clutch fan, when that comes on you lose like what feels 100hp on the hills. F150 is E fans -the back up camera system isn’t from a Nokia phone (Titan is) -the Titan frame is beefy front to rear of cab, behind the cab where the frame transitions into the bed, it bends when heavy tongue weights. Hence why the towing capacity is so low. The power train and gearing is there, the frame is not. Even on XD models. -front suspension travel is abysmal, it has like 1-2” of upward travel in front so big bumps feels like your front end is going to fall off as it smashes bump stops -the rear seats are like 4” more off of the back wall for no reason vs f150 making the cab tighter. -low payload numbers, 1200-1400is the norm when you load them up. -way better towing tech on the ford -26 gallon fuel tank max size 8-9mpg when towing. You’re going 150miles between fill ups (electric truck range) -Nissan took away all the cool Nissan things from first gen Titan, roll down back window, bed toolboxes etc etc.
You didn’t mention the one thing the Titan does win on. A 10 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty. You won’t get anything close to that from anyone else especially if you go used where you might get what a year. I had a 2005. Back when it came out it had some innovative features like the utilitrac , more power, and had the wide open king cab doors. The cab is pretty much the same since 2004 and in the crew cab was the biggest at the time. Ram, Toyota only had quad cabs then .
Its actually really sad smh. Its such a great truck, just like the xterra was a great SUV. They are killing off these great vehicles and its only their fault. They didn't advertise or showcase these vehicles enough. Barely anyone knows about the Titan, especially how reliable it is. Just sad to see.
If you have a Titan use regular fuel why pay extra for gas these gas prices are to high. Believe me my 2024 Titan does Not know the difference between premium fuel or regular fuel. Save yourself some money every fill up and put regular fuel. I still get 20 mpg with regular fuel.
It’s not a bad truck, same with the Frontier. But compared to the competition, it just feels so dated. It feels like you’re buying a brand new 10 year old truck.
Test drove a 24 Titan last week and didn't like the steering or ride quality. The truck also didn't come to a complete stop. It would lurch forward and that concerned me
@@BadoreksDailys It's heavy because it's actually hydraulic compared to everyone else with electric steering. You can actually feel the road and what's going on vs the numb feeling in other trucks. I'd argue it gives it more of a sporty feel to it than others. I hate the electric steering in my F150 company truck.
I have the same truck in this video. I was a diehard Chevy guy because my Dad was but decided to change and try something different. Same with other people they are brand loyal. But boy I’m glad I went with the titan. Wow great truck! Perfect No,And that V8 engine sound!
First truck for me. W Real close to Tundra, but had concerns over turbo V6. Decided to give Titan a look. Test drive and was more than satisfied with the drive and level of tech. NA V8 was right up my alley. Realized I prefer integrated infotainment (versus ipad sitting on my dash- just looks cleaner to my eye). Incentives made it a no brainer (imo). About 2 months or so in and still happy with my choice. Expect to keep a long time. Only tech I kinda miss is HUD.
Same here mate, I just traded in my 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 163,000 miles for a brand new 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it with 400 HP and 413 Ibs of torque and let me tell you its a freakn beast.
Comes down to poor marketing, a dated interior, and Nissan's bad rep with their CVTs literally destroying their entire brand's reputation for reliability despite the fact that their other vehicles are all pretty solid, especially their pickups. Shame.
Question: why does the Nissan CVT tarnish the entire line, including trucks somehow, but when THOUSANDS of Tacomas had their bad FRAMES rust in half, Tacomas were still worshipped as the most reliable thing on earth? Meanwhile, there's the Million Mile Frontier on TFL truck channel. That's more than just pretty solid, it's outstanding. And most Nissan trucks are similar. King Toyota can't top that.
@@JPATRIOT17 exactly, so why in the world would it take it down. Brand loyalty did. People just aren't willing to do their research and figure out the better truck. Like my dad. He will always buy a GMC, even though he has sunk 1000s of dollars into his 2019, he will buy the next one. He has since I was a kid. He was blown away at my 2017 Pro4x. How nice it was and all of the options it had. Then he was really blown away when he realized I paid about 60% of what he paid for his GMC. Titan is the best kept secret in the automotive industry.
@@kaosactual1 You got it. Brand loyalty becomes a personal identity thing. It is MISPLACED loyalty if it's junk but they stick with it anyway. And manufacturers are very aware of Brand identity psychology and take full advantages. It must be really prevalent in the big pickup world because Nissan has built strong small trucks since 1959. I've been using them for decades. Somehow the reputation didn't automatically carry over to the Titan. If I could handle the gas mileage of a big pickup, I'd go get a Titan over big 3 any day. I actually wish they made a Titan 8 lug heavy duty so I could have a Hardbody on steroids when I need one.
I was shopping last year for a new truck and ended up buying a 2023 Pro4X XD. It has just the right amount of technology without the items that reduce reliability. That is hard to market though, because folks that don’t know any better are attracted to all the gadgets. I was not able to get 4W auto, but it does have 4WH and 4WL, so this was not a deal breaker. To get 4WA in the F150 I would have had to move up to the Lariat trim level and that was ridiculously expense compared to the Titan. I also looked at a Ram midnight edition but those were marked up and the dealers didn’t want to discount them, so I went with the Pro4X which is close enough for me. I wanted the split tailgate and Ram Boxes and was also interested in the GM multi-pro tailgate but ended up with the Titan boxes which was the higher priority for me and didn’t get a fancy tailgate, again that wasn’t a deal breaker, but the boxes were a high priority. We have a Tesla in the house, and I like the auto pilot but in Los Angeles, where I live, using that can be very nerve racking. On the open road, the intelligent cruise control on the Titan fits the bill and it worked great on a recent 3K mile trip we took to Montana. I didn’t want turbos or cylinder deactivation and don’t like auto start-stop. I know the auto start-stop can be disabled but with the Titan, I don’t have any of these items. I was intrigued with Ford’s power on-board and power boost, but the latter meant I would have to go up to the hybrid F150 and that was silly expensive. At the end of the day if I ever need 2kw of power I can bring along a small generator. All purchases are a compromise between features and cost. I could have decided I wanted to get all the features and spent a small fortune doing so but I thought the Titan was the best value for me. Hate to see the Titan go but in 2028 when my warranty is up, who knows what will be on the market. For now, the Titan is a solid truck.
I have a '23 Pro4X and the only two complaints I have are the super stiff rear suspension that bounces the truck around when the bed is empty, and the wide turn radius/heavy steering at low speeds.
You’ve never driven a 2500 or 3500 HD truck then. My Pro-4X is a dream to drive over those. Plus I added the RAS and that made it slightly stiffer, but still 100x better than my previous Ram HDs.

Very well made, old school and very reliable.i might consider a new Denali with a 3.0 deisel or a Toyota but no ford or ram at this time due to recalls and maybe stellantis destroying the brand.i love mine and would most definitely buy another
If you are buying a truck based on looks, then you dont need to be buying a truck. A truck should be bought based on reliability. Technology is good to have but some dont even touch some of the technology that is available in the truck. We know that too much technology means more expensive parts if something breaks. Like the rear lights with sensors on the fords. They are really expensive to replace. I was in the market since the beginning of the year, and i wanted a reliable truck. Ford, ram, and toyota were immediately off my list. The gm 5.3 and 6.2 were also off my list due to the lifter issues. I narrowed it down to 2 engines, the 3.0 duramax and nissan 5.6 endurance. I knew that i would have to change the belt on the 3.0 around 150k to 200k miles on it. So i settled on the nissan. With a total out the door price of 61k and with 0% apr. I didnt have to put any money down and will not be paying any interest on the money i borrowed from nissan. You said a ram rebel would be a better buy, lets take a look. I speced one out putting in leather seats, brake controller, tow hitch, moon roof, spray in bed liner, etc etc. Mind you i bought a 2024 nissan platinum reserve that has an msrp of $69,420 for a final out the door price of $61,500. The ram rebel that i speced was $73k but lets say its conservative 70k. Now im not sure what dealer and manufacturing discounts they have, i couldn't find any at the website. But lets say you get a total of $5k off which brings it down to $65k. Dont forget the dealer addons which most dealers have, $2k to be on the low side. Now add the taxes, registration, plates and all those mandatory items which vary depending on your state. It is another $4k to $5k. But for sake of argument you can buy the truck for a really conservative out the door price of $70,000. Now its time for finance, lets say you have a prime credit score so the average for that is around 7% apr for 72 months. You will be paying around $16,000 in intrest alone which at the end your total cost for the truck would be around $86,000 when its paid for. In conclusion, the ram does not seem to be the better buy. You will pay more for it while receiving a better technology truck with a less dependable motor and with a shorter warranty. I skipped the big 3 manufacturers, paid less, borrowed free money with the 0% apr., and put 5k that i was going to use as a down payment in a high yield savings account to earn interest on it. I always compare trucks to cellphones, a less expensive motorola smartphone can do most of the things an iphone can do.
You're making some pretty interesting assumptions there to swing the numbers heavily in your favor. I have 3 Rebels outside with $10,000+ off MSRP. So for easy numbers, say you can save $5,000 on the raw purchase price. The Ram has a near identical reliability rating as well as a better resale value. I don't personally care for all the tech myself, so I would get a less equipped Rebel as a side point. That being said, the lack of headroom for ME as well as little things like the rear door not opening all the way, etc. Would stop me in my tracks from spending $60,000+ We all know you can save money buying a Nissan. What killed them is you can't save ENOUGH money to talk me into it. I may go for it if I could save $20,000 over the Ram. As far as interest rates, incentivized rates come and go. They all do a 0%, 1.9, 2.9 etc at some point in the year. Your example of the cell phones is great and you're not wrong. You will get some people to buy a Motorola because it's less than the iPhone. However, if the iPhone is $1,500 and the Motorola is $1,300, I'm still buying the iPhone. If the Motorola is $500, I might go for it.

The simplicity and lack of change is what helps create reliability. The poor sales for both titan and tundra show that Americans want all the new bells and whistles and fancy interior. The new tundra interior already looks worse than a base model f150.
My Titan lasted me 6 months and 39k miles before I gave up on it. It was simple, it was not reliable. My f150 platinum with all the bells and whistles is still strong at 168k miles. Only done brakes, water pump, and oil changes. My Titan got, new upper ball joint, new fan clutch, new wheel bearing drivers left front, radio, engine had the cylinder 7 knock, hard starts when in the morning and after work. Final straw was when it developed a vibration that no one could figure out. New tires, new rotors, new axle shafts, new drive shafts 😂. It was a 2022 Pro4X.
@@Johnsmith46392 When I purchased my Titan I made my2017 f150 the shop truck. One of my guys was driving it daily. My Titan went to the Midwest a few times and down to SC a few times. That’s how I put 39k on it in 6 months. When I decided to take my f150 back I purchased a ford maverick for the shop truck and I got my f150 back.
No matter the negative things about the Nissan Titan, but for the middle class it is a truck to buy because the Ford, Chevy and Ram cost more than $70,000 in basic trucks, nothing luxury, and let's not say if you buy a Platinum or Denali or Rqm Laramie, these are We're talking about 80 or 95 thousand for one of the big three. I bought a Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve a lot of luxury in December 2023 with the incentives and discounts the price outside the door was 59,000 that if you just have to do your homework and look for those offers you can find the truck of your dreams my family and I are Happy with this truck, it feels like a real truck, not like those trucks with a 4-cylinder engine. The Nissan Titan has a V8 engine and does its job and has a 5-year warranty. I wanted something different, a truck that no one has. The Fords are everywhere. The Chevys are everywhere but almost no one has the Titan in my town. I'm in my truck, which is not a common truck, and people see my truck and say, "This young man is riding well." You’re a ways off on your prices there my friend. The only trucks in the $90,000+ range from Ram at least are HD Limiteds. A loaded Laramie from Ram street price is in the $60,000’s. Either way, The Nissan is a good truck overall and should last. I have a new video going up tomorrow about things Nissan did well!
I was a Toyota tundra owner and switch to a 2024 Titan with no regrets the Titan V8 over Tundra V6 hands down Titan wins the underdog don’t have engine trouble like the tundra … I hope Nissan keeps the Titan V8.
When the Titan first came out it had many features that others wouldn't implement for several years later. This is first gen 1. The VK56 DOHC V8 with 305 hp 317hp in later models. This engine was fantastic at the time compared to Ford and GM offerings. That engine paired with the smooth transmission resulted in this truck being one of the fastest ones available at the time. 2. 5 speed auto transmission when 4 speed was standard for everyone else. 3. King cab doors that folded all the way back parallel with the bed (Ford doesn't implement this until 10 years later). 4. Nissan was one of the first to do a factory sprayed on bedliner. 5. They were one of the first with a dampened tailgate which GM doesn't implement until 5 years or more later. 6. Nissan was the first to put bed rails in the truck and the genius of their design is it's unistrut. 7. 8. They were the only ones to put a storage compartment behind the rear wheel which was perfect for tow straps or tie down storage. 9. Nissan and Ford were the only ones that had fully boxed frame rails, and the Frontier frame is the exact same as the Titan just not as wide in the cross members. Nissan failed the Titan because they never marketed the strengths the truck had then on the refresh they didn't go for the kill like they did when they first brought it out. They basically brought it up to modern standards. If I was in the market for a new truck I'd still buy a 2020-2024 Titan. The value you get for the money is there. My 08 Titan with 230K miles is still going strong.
Just bought a barely used (3800 miles) 2024 Pro 4x. The truck was 20 grand off, and I traded a Ram 1500 that was 11 years old. My mechanic saw it and told me it is definitely better than Ford, GM, or Ram trucks in reliability, and I definitely made a great purchase. I truly believe if Nissan had sold these new 10 grand cheaper, this truck would have never been discontinued.
1) Splitting Armada and Titan from the same platform. I get it. You have the Patrol sitting there, and you want to sell it in NA and not just as Infinities, but the "watered down" Patrol we got here isn't it. They should have kept Armada and Titan on the same platform like every other Truck maker does. That way the combined sells of two platforms can justify some lower sells numbers for either. I know they thought they needed the plant space for the 2nd gen Titan alone, but Nissan should know by now they aren't going to put in the effort to keep up with the Big 3 trucks. 2) They gave up on the 2nd gen after 2 years. No major updates that weren't complaint fixes (see 7 speed tranny). Nissan wanted to pull a Toyota move and not continuously update their product without Toyota's previous reliability reputation to back it up. They rode the 1st gen Titan for 12 YEARS! Virtually unchanged except for minor and miniscule updates. Toyota could get away with that with the previous Tundra, but Nissan can't. 3) This dovetails with the previous reason I listed. They quit marketing the Titan quickly too. After the first two years, Nissan went stealth mode. You're the #5 of 5 half-ton truck makers and you're figuratively and factually hiding them in the back lot? 4) Lack of options. Not having a V6 base model to bring in lower end (aka younger) buyers who don't have established loyalty to the Big 3. And what happened to the Warrior concept Titan? That would have generated interest to get people on the lots. 5) Nissan's real reliability issue, upper management. They brought in truck people to help design the 2nd gen, and I can only assume they fired them a year later. It seems to me that upper management quickly cooled on the Titan and lacked vision for how to take it forward. It sold enough to not kill it until they could find something else to use the Canton plant for. Honestly, I feel that everything covered in this video was cosmetic and symptoms of the reasons I listed above. No one ever got to see these cosmetic flaws because they had no reason to go to the Nissan dealer in the first place. PS, I love my 2012 Armada and wouldn't hesitate to buy a non-diesel Titan.
The only reason this truck didn’t sell is advertising. Plain and simple. I have a diesel Titan XD I bought new in 2016. I’ve had soooo many conversations at the diesel pump with folks that had no idea it had a Cummins.
I’ve heard a lot if mixed reviews in the 5.0. If you scroll the comments on the 3 videos I made about this truck it’s either one side or the other, 5.0 is GREAT, or it’s AWFUL. Nowhere in the middle.
Considering the long record of durability in the smaller trucks, Id imagine Nissan could have made an ad campaign roasting the notorious reliability issues of the big 3, inserting clips of lifters ticking, transmissions slipping, cam phasers ,etc. Kind of like Ford and Chevy used to do to each other on TV.
I think you saying "deserved" to be is not the right wording. Maybe the reasons why, but not necessarily deserving. In all honesty, everyone knows that Titans and Tundras are head and shoulders above domestic trucks. Thats why the big three market so hard. The big three all have big issues and catastrophic. Titans and tundras are just better, if speaking without bias. And honestly I own a Gmc Acadia Denali and a Lexus RX450h. I drive a ton of vehicles. The Titan is just better than most and better priced.
You are focus on price and minor features… this is a dependable truck engine V8 with 15-20 mpg on regular fuel Nissan recommended premium fuel BUT ITS NOT REQUIRED.. i put regular unleaded and I still get 20 mpg oh highway and 16 city. This truck 20 year truck in my opinion so $65,000 over 20 years it’s a steal .. maybe you should own one and forget that the back door opens only 3/4 of the way.
If your buying a work truck for life the titan is what you want the v8 is bullet proof other than basic maintenance this truck shouldn't fail. If you want all the latest tech with turbos and cameras then get anything else just be mindful that all that new tech and turbos aint easy or cheap to fix.
I use to be a Chevy fan but since I bought a Nissan Titan felt in love with the Titan I have a 2010 Titan with 223k miles same engine original miles n haven’t had any problems that 5.6 engine better than that 5.3 and even that 5.7 hemi 😂
Reliable, proven V8. No auto start stop. No AFM. Solid transmission. No air suspension. That's why I bought it. And used, it was far cheaper than the competition for comparable features and milieage.
I only knew about ram and ford, a little bit about a toyota pickup. Not really a cheverlet. I only though nissian made cars and suv's. I only knew about nissian titan when I went to major worlds dealership.
These interior peoblems are nothin remember when trucks used to have metal dashes ,no air bags and a floor dimmer switch like older f150's so i think i can make it ok in this truck
Older F150's didn't have an MSRP of $65,000. The interior itself isn't a problem per say, the interior is a problem COMPARED to the other options on the market for a similar price point.
I’m going to buy “this truck” not a ram or anything else. In fact, I did buy a Titan Bronze Edition tonight. I traded in a 2021 SV because I knew this may be it for the Titans. For those of us that love them, their discontinuation is heart breaking. The Titan didnt speak to the masses, but it did speak to us that wanted practicality, power, towing capacity, etc WITHOUT all the “bells and whistles” that are being pumped out by other manufacturers and aren’t reliable. We want so bad to be in that era and I just don’t know if it’s truly reliable yet. My 2021 never let me down. I just had to Move in to a 2024 in case they are done for good.
Some very valid points, I just got into a 2022 nissan titan Sv, I'm more of a car guy but I do appreciate a good truck. I drove a comparable f150 as a rental for approximately 1 month and definitely liked the truck it didn't have the upgrades like leather etc so for me it was a bare bones experience with the 5.0 l V8, loved it!. You are right in terms of size comparisons and other things nissan dropped the ball on, However in my quest to get a truck very price conscious I found a gem in the 2022 SV titan it beat the competition on price my out the door was less than 40grand 21900 miles on the odometer. It's definitely an adjustment and some getting used to but I'm happy I got this truck, saved money in the process I'm not towing and off roading so this truck fits the bill for now.
I think it really depends on what kind of 6’2 you are. I’m 6.0 even with what appears to be a 4’ torso and 2’ of legs, if you’re 4’2” of legs and a small torso you won’t sit as high as I do, even though I’m shorter, I sit closer to the pedals but stick up higher. Also, the moonroof kills a good 2”+ I would bet
You’re right about those things. I like my 1st gen and plan to keep it as long as possible , I know 2 people who loves their 2nd gen in both engine options. I think they should have focused on selling cheap good trucks and sell by volume than keeping up with the Joneses
Unfortunately that seems to be the popular thing to do…. Not many affordable raw trucks out there anymore. I think they’re great trucks, you just can’t miss on those things AND be that expensive. If MSRP was 50 and you could buy one new for 35-43ish, sure!
I have a 2023 titan and so far the best truck I have had and I have had the big 3 I really like this truck is there some things that could be better sure but that is with anything its been a great truck for me I tow a lot and it does its job
Just sold my 2005 Titan (original owner) for a new 2023 SV Titan. RAMs reliabilty issues, 2 Fords that stranded me, and 1 Silverado that loved going to the shop resulted in another Titan. Flawless engine and tranny, spunky and comfortable 19 years later made it easy to get this aTitan before they're gone. Wanted a Tundra before the last couple of years huge reliability issues. Thoroughly like this new truck. Correct on the low resolution rear camera.
The very very first thing I noticed from this truck when I tested it , drove it, was the interior size. I came from a Colorado and the interior feels like a living room. It's huge. Don't get the sissy moon roof and there's a ton of headroom.. You;re totally wrong!
As I said, no moon roof may help! However, this is the only Titan we have at the moment, and THIS titan does not have nearly enough head room for ME. It may for you, but it does not for me.
Worst truck of my life. I got one less than 6 months ago from a dealer and I’ve had at least something break every month and the check engine light has come on monthly too. Getting a lemon lawyer
I have a 05 Titan CC LE. Man I love that things. When it first came out, such a WOW factor. The commercial kick ass alone. Such a great run…for 11 years. The 2nd Gen Titan….is so sad. Zero wow factor what so ever. The Gen 1 have a timeless look…and the Gen 2 look retarded…period. It look classless, the front, side, and back …do not match with each other what so ever. It’s an insult to the GEN 1 Titan. WHO authorized this truck for sale to the public should never fire! WHO designed this embarrassing should also never fire. The whole design crew should all be fired!!!

Owned a Titan, it was terrible. Now own an F150 and love it. It was unreliable and Nissan was a pain in the ass to deal with at every turn. The interior is dated and behind all the other brands. The heavy hydraulic steering is annoying and tiresome and the dumb old V8 got 4-5 MPG worse than my 3.5L ecoboost while making less HP and Torque. It also imo doesnt look as good as the other brands. It had nice seats and the price point was attractive, but i came to realize there was a reason it was cheap.

I just traded my 2020 Ram Laramie in on one and in my opinion it's a way better truck. Had Ford's, Chevy's and Rams and they are all getting far too complicated and in turn, unreliable. My brother traded his Ecoboost in on an XD because of the stupid cam phasers. The Rams exhaust manifolds are cracking left and right not to mention the lifter issues. The Chevys are just garbage and the Toyotas can't make an engine last more than 50k miles now. The Titans have a great reputation for being solid and reliable. I wouldn't call that lame. 🤷
It has a naturally aspirated V8 which has proven to not be good for the environment. Most people are not interested in Old relics rather they're looking for modern engines that give off lower emissions
They are wonderful Trucks AND VERY UNDERATED. I love mine. I would buy another one tomorrow. But I dont have to these things are like the old Ford Rangers you cant wear them out anytime soon. 10 years from now you will still see these trucks on the road just like the old Rangers.

Most of friends sit way more leaned back than I do, I sit pretty straight up. If you don’t have a sunroof, and lean way back you’re probably fine. I get in my friends trucks and feel like I’m laying down.

I agree this is bs. I can careless about the titan being discontinued but there is no full size truck that a 6 foot persons head would touch the roof. In dimensions its similiar to a standard sized truck in its class.
One miss that you didn't mention, where the Titan does stand out is the warranty...5 year bumper to bumper & 100,000 mile drivetrain and they are USA built.

I’ve owned two Titans (2018 SL 4x4 midnight edition & 2023 Pro-4x with all packages added). The engine is pretty much bulletproof and I have driven all over multiple states on long drives, logging 25-30k miles a year with ZERO issues ever!
I have had 4 vehicles with the 5.6 V8 (QX80 & Armada being the other two) and none have ever had issues. This is why I returned to buy another Titan because most people I know with Ram, Chevy or Ford can’t seem to keep their truck out of the shop, I use mine for work and it needs to be dependable. Tried & true technology, ease of use and strong dependability are reasons to buy BUT to your point that is NOT what sells trucks at this price point to 98% of people.
The Titan is a simple & straightforward truck for someone who wants to own one to drive until the wheels fall off…in today’s marketplace that is simply not enough for most buyers to stand out.
I love Titan trucks but you are correct on the back door, cameras and price.
I have a 2004 Titan and just got a low milage 2023 Titan. I love the Brand. But they should have refreshed one time and called it the Frontier XL to parlay off the Frontier branding they actually pay attention to!
I have this same truck. I agree on the back door opening. I have plenty of room at 6.0 feet tall. I had a ZR2, Silverado, I traded for this. No regrets. I felt like GM ruined the best engine platform out there with stupid ASS & cylinder de - activation. That stuff drove me nuts! I'm paying for 8 cylinders and I want them on all the time. I know it was the EPA, but I don't give a damn. I felt like I was playing roulette with the Chevy. Lifter failures, crank thrust bearings, electrical gremlins, screw that. The Titan isn't as pretty, no digital dash, no electronic steering. Just good old school platform that works. The Rebel's that I looked at were in the 80K range and to get away from that stupid dial shifter on the dash, I had to buy a GT, which no dealer even had! I like Rams a lot. I had a 2018 F- 150 that was flawless before all this engine nuetering BS. There is a lot of choices available and that is a good thing. 😄
No news means they never break down. I just bought a Platnum Reserve for that reason. Im 6.1 ft and dont have the headroom issue. I wanted something different that will last. I see way to many newer American made trucks rusting on the fenders.

-the truck knows when trailer is attached ( the Titan does not)
-the rear back up alarm and emergency braking gets disabled when trailer plugged in (the Titan does not)
-the Titan everytime you shift from D-R you have to physically shut off emergency braking and the back up alarm with a button… every time
-the blind spot is adjusted for trailer (the Titan cannot)
-the Titan has a mechanical clutch fan, when that comes on you lose like what feels 100hp on the hills. F150 is E fans
-the back up camera system isn’t from a Nokia phone (Titan is)
-the Titan frame is beefy front to rear of cab, behind the cab where the frame transitions into the bed, it bends when heavy tongue weights. Hence why the towing capacity is so low. The power train and gearing is there, the frame is not. Even on XD models.
-front suspension travel is abysmal, it has like 1-2” of upward travel in front so big bumps feels like your front end is going to fall off as it smashes bump stops
-the rear seats are like 4” more off of the back wall for no reason vs f150 making the cab tighter.
-low payload numbers, 1200-1400is the norm when you load them up.
-way better towing tech on the ford
-26 gallon fuel tank max size 8-9mpg when towing. You’re going 150miles between fill ups (electric truck range)
-Nissan took away all the cool Nissan things from first gen Titan, roll down back window, bed toolboxes etc etc.
You didn’t mention the one thing the Titan does win on. A 10 year 100k bumper to bumper warranty. You won’t get anything close to that from anyone else especially if you go used where you might get what a year. I had a 2005. Back when it came out it had some innovative features like the utilitrac , more power, and had the wide open king cab doors. The cab is pretty much the same since 2004 and in the crew cab was the biggest at the time. Ram, Toyota only had quad cabs then

Its actually really sad smh. Its such a great truck, just like the xterra was a great SUV. They are killing off these great vehicles and its only their fault. They didn't advertise or showcase these vehicles enough. Barely anyone knows about the Titan, especially how reliable it is. Just sad to see.
If you have a Titan use regular fuel why pay extra for gas these gas prices are to high. Believe me my 2024 Titan does Not know the difference between premium fuel or regular fuel. Save yourself some money every fill up and put regular fuel. I still get 20 mpg with regular fuel.

Test drove a 24 Titan last week and didn't like the steering or ride quality. The truck also didn't come to a complete stop. It would lurch forward and that concerned me

@@BadoreksDailys It's heavy because it's actually hydraulic compared to everyone else with electric steering. You can actually feel the road and what's going on vs the numb feeling in other trucks. I'd argue it gives it more of a sporty feel to it than others. I hate the electric steering in my F150 company truck.

I have the same truck in this video. I was a diehard Chevy guy because my Dad was but decided to change and try something different. Same with other people they are brand loyal. But boy I’m glad I went with the titan. Wow great truck! Perfect No,And that V8 engine sound!

Real close to Tundra, but had concerns over turbo V6. Decided to give Titan a look. Test drive and was more than satisfied with the drive and level of tech. NA V8 was right up my alley. Realized I prefer integrated infotainment (versus ipad sitting on my dash- just looks cleaner to my eye). Incentives made it a no brainer (imo). About 2 months or so in and still happy with my choice. Expect to keep a long time.
Only tech I kinda miss is HUD.
Same here mate, I just traded in my 2011 Ford F150 with a 5.0L Coyote V8 in it with 163,000 miles for a brand new 2024 Nissan Titan with the 5.6L Endurance V8 in it with 400 HP and 413 Ibs of torque and let me tell you its a freakn beast.
Comes down to poor marketing, a dated interior, and Nissan's bad rep with their CVTs literally destroying their entire brand's reputation for reliability despite the fact that their other vehicles are all pretty solid, especially their pickups. Shame.
Question: why does the Nissan CVT tarnish the entire line, including trucks somehow, but when THOUSANDS of Tacomas had their bad FRAMES rust in half, Tacomas were still worshipped as the most reliable thing on earth?
Meanwhile, there's the Million Mile Frontier on TFL truck channel. That's more than just pretty solid, it's outstanding. And most Nissan trucks are similar. King Toyota can't top that.

How nice it was and all of the options it had. Then he was really blown away when he realized I paid about 60% of what he paid for his GMC. Titan is the best kept secret in the automotive industry.
@@kaosactual1 You got it. Brand loyalty becomes a personal identity thing. It is MISPLACED loyalty if it's junk but they stick with it anyway. And manufacturers are very aware of Brand identity psychology and take full advantages. It must be really prevalent in the big pickup world because Nissan has built strong small trucks since 1959. I've been using them for decades. Somehow the reputation didn't automatically carry over to the Titan. If I could handle the gas mileage of a big pickup, I'd go get a Titan over big 3 any day. I actually wish they made a Titan 8 lug heavy duty so I could have a Hardbody on steroids when I need one.
I was shopping last year for a new truck and ended up buying a 2023 Pro4X XD. It has just the right amount of technology without the items that reduce reliability. That is hard to market though, because folks that don’t know any better are attracted to all the gadgets. I was not able to get 4W auto, but it does have 4WH and 4WL, so this was not a deal breaker. To get 4WA in the F150 I would have had to move up to the Lariat trim level and that was ridiculously expense compared to the Titan. I also looked at a Ram midnight edition but those were marked up and the dealers didn’t want to discount them, so I went with the Pro4X which is close enough for me. I wanted the split tailgate and Ram Boxes and was also interested in the GM multi-pro tailgate but ended up with the Titan boxes which was the higher priority for me and didn’t get a fancy tailgate, again that wasn’t a deal breaker, but the boxes were a high priority. We have a Tesla in the house, and I like the auto pilot but in Los Angeles, where I live, using that can be very nerve racking. On the open road, the intelligent cruise control on the Titan fits the bill and it worked great on a recent 3K mile trip we took to Montana. I didn’t want turbos or cylinder deactivation and don’t like auto start-stop. I know the auto start-stop can be disabled but with the Titan, I don’t have any of these items. I was intrigued with Ford’s power on-board and power boost, but the latter meant I would have to go up to the hybrid F150 and that was silly expensive. At the end of the day if I ever need 2kw of power I can bring along a small generator. All purchases are a compromise between features and cost. I could have decided I wanted to get all the features and spent a small fortune doing so but I thought the Titan was the best value for me. Hate to see the Titan go but in 2028 when my warranty is up, who knows what will be on the market. For now, the Titan is a solid truck.

I have a '23 Pro4X and the only two complaints I have are the super stiff rear suspension that bounces the truck around when the bed is empty, and the wide turn radius/heavy steering at low speeds.
Same with the frontier turning radius is so bad i dont see the utility of going mid size rather go with gm just for that
You’ve never driven a 2500 or 3500 HD truck then. My Pro-4X is a dream to drive over those. Plus I added the RAS and that made it slightly stiffer, but still 100x better than my previous Ram HDs.

If you are buying a truck based on looks, then you dont need to be buying a truck. A truck should be bought based on reliability. Technology is good to have but some dont even touch some of the technology that is available in the truck. We know that too much technology means more expensive parts if something breaks. Like the rear lights with sensors on the fords. They are really expensive to replace. I was in the market since the beginning of the year, and i wanted a reliable truck. Ford, ram, and toyota were immediately off my list. The gm 5.3 and 6.2 were also off my list due to the lifter issues. I narrowed it down to 2 engines, the 3.0 duramax and nissan 5.6 endurance. I knew that i would have to change the belt on the 3.0 around 150k to 200k miles on it. So i settled on the nissan. With a total out the door price of 61k and with 0% apr. I didnt have to put any money down and will not be paying any interest on the money i borrowed from nissan.
You said a ram rebel would be a better buy, lets take a look. I speced one out putting in leather seats, brake controller, tow hitch, moon roof, spray in bed liner, etc etc. Mind you i bought a 2024 nissan platinum reserve that has an msrp of $69,420 for a final out the door price of $61,500. The ram rebel that i speced was $73k but lets say its conservative 70k. Now im not sure what dealer and manufacturing discounts they have, i couldn't find any at the website. But lets say you get a total of $5k off which brings it down to $65k. Dont forget the dealer addons which most dealers have, $2k to be on the low side. Now add the taxes, registration, plates and all those mandatory items which vary depending on your state. It is another $4k to $5k. But for sake of argument you can buy the truck for a really conservative out the door price of $70,000.
Now its time for finance, lets say you have a prime credit score so the average for that is around 7% apr for 72 months. You will be paying around $16,000 in intrest alone which at the end your total cost for the truck would be around $86,000 when its paid for.
In conclusion, the ram does not seem to be the better buy. You will pay more for it while receiving a better technology truck with a less dependable motor and with a shorter warranty. I skipped the big 3 manufacturers, paid less, borrowed free money with the 0% apr., and put 5k that i was going to use as a down payment in a high yield savings account to earn interest on it. I always compare trucks to cellphones, a less expensive motorola smartphone can do most of the things an iphone can do.
You're making some pretty interesting assumptions there to swing the numbers heavily in your favor.
I have 3 Rebels outside with $10,000+ off MSRP. So for easy numbers, say you can save $5,000 on the raw purchase price.
The Ram has a near identical reliability rating as well as a better resale value. I don't personally care for all the tech myself, so I would get a less equipped Rebel as a side point. That being said, the lack of headroom for ME as well as little things like the rear door not opening all the way, etc. Would stop me in my tracks from spending $60,000+
We all know you can save money buying a Nissan. What killed them is you can't save ENOUGH money to talk me into it. I may go for it if I could save $20,000 over the Ram.
As far as interest rates, incentivized rates come and go. They all do a 0%, 1.9, 2.9 etc at some point in the year.
Your example of the cell phones is great and you're not wrong. You will get some people to buy a Motorola because it's less than the iPhone. However, if the iPhone is $1,500 and the Motorola is $1,300, I'm still buying the iPhone. If the Motorola is $500, I might go for it.

The simplicity and lack of change is what helps create reliability. The poor sales for both titan and tundra show that Americans want all the new bells and whistles and fancy interior. The new tundra interior already looks worse than a base model f150.

Nothing about a door not opening all the way like the others have for generations makes that truck more reliable.
My Titan lasted me 6 months and 39k miles before I gave up on it. It was simple, it was not reliable. My f150 platinum with all the bells and whistles is still strong at 168k miles. Only done brakes, water pump, and oil changes.
My Titan got, new upper ball joint, new fan clutch, new wheel bearing drivers left front, radio, engine had the cylinder 7 knock, hard starts when in the morning and after work. Final straw was when it developed a vibration that no one could figure out. New tires, new rotors, new axle shafts, new drive shafts 😂. It was a 2022 Pro4X.

@@Johnsmith46392 When I purchased my Titan I made my2017 f150 the shop truck. One of my guys was driving it daily. My Titan went to the Midwest a few times and down to SC a few times. That’s how I put 39k on it in 6 months. When I decided to take my f150 back I purchased a ford maverick for the shop truck and I got my f150 back.

No matter the negative things about the Nissan Titan, but for the middle class it is a truck to buy because the Ford, Chevy and Ram cost more than $70,000 in basic trucks, nothing luxury, and let's not say if you buy a Platinum or Denali or Rqm Laramie, these are We're talking about 80 or 95 thousand for one of the big three. I bought a Nissan Titan Platinum Reserve a lot of luxury in December 2023 with the incentives and discounts the price outside the door was 59,000 that if you just have to do your homework and look for those offers you can find the truck of your dreams my family and I are Happy with this truck, it feels like a real truck, not like those trucks with a 4-cylinder engine. The Nissan Titan has a V8 engine and does its job and has a 5-year warranty. I wanted something different, a truck that no one has. The Fords are everywhere. The Chevys are everywhere but almost no one has the Titan in my town. I'm in my truck, which is not a common truck, and people see my truck and say, "This young man is riding well." By the way it’s a good video my friend
You’re a ways off on your prices there my friend. The only trucks in the $90,000+ range from Ram at least are HD Limiteds. A loaded Laramie from Ram street price is in the $60,000’s. Either way, The Nissan is a good truck overall and should last.

I was a Toyota tundra owner and switch to a 2024 Titan with no regrets the Titan V8 over Tundra V6 hands down Titan wins the underdog don’t have engine trouble like the tundra … I hope Nissan keeps the Titan V8.
Just did the same. Have 3k on my XD now. Drove the new tundra and was not impressed.
When the Titan first came out it had many features that others wouldn't implement for several years later. This is first gen 1. The VK56 DOHC V8 with 305 hp 317hp in later models. This engine was fantastic at the time compared to Ford and GM offerings. That engine paired with the smooth transmission resulted in this truck being one of the fastest ones available at the time. 2. 5 speed auto transmission when 4 speed was standard for everyone else. 3. King cab doors that folded all the way back parallel with the bed (Ford doesn't implement this until 10 years later). 4. Nissan was one of the first to do a factory sprayed on bedliner. 5. They were one of the first with a dampened tailgate which GM doesn't implement until 5 years or more later. 6. Nissan was the first to put bed rails in the truck and the genius of their design is it's unistrut. 7. 8. They were the only ones to put a storage compartment behind the rear wheel which was perfect for tow straps or tie down storage. 9. Nissan and Ford were the only ones that had fully boxed frame rails, and the Frontier frame is the exact same as the Titan just not as wide in the cross members. Nissan failed the Titan because they never marketed the strengths the truck had then on the refresh they didn't go for the kill like they did when they first brought it out. They basically brought it up to modern standards. If I was in the market for a new truck I'd still buy a 2020-2024 Titan. The value you get for the money is there. My 08 Titan with 230K miles is still going strong.
I have a 2011 with 235k miles, doesn’t burn a drop of oil and towed 10k yesterday to the dump and I don’t have the big tow package.
Just bought a barely used (3800 miles) 2024 Pro 4x. The truck was 20 grand off, and I traded a Ram 1500 that was 11 years old. My mechanic saw it and told me it is definitely better than Ford, GM, or Ram trucks in reliability, and I definitely made a great purchase. I truly believe if Nissan had sold these new 10 grand cheaper, this truck would have never been discontinued.

1) Splitting Armada and Titan from the same platform. I get it. You have the Patrol sitting there, and you want to sell it in NA and not just as Infinities, but the "watered down" Patrol we got here isn't it. They should have kept Armada and Titan on the same platform like every other Truck maker does. That way the combined sells of two platforms can justify some lower sells numbers for either. I know they thought they needed the plant space for the 2nd gen Titan alone, but Nissan should know by now they aren't going to put in the effort to keep up with the Big 3 trucks.
2) They gave up on the 2nd gen after 2 years. No major updates that weren't complaint fixes (see 7 speed tranny). Nissan wanted to pull a Toyota move and not continuously update their product without Toyota's previous reliability reputation to back it up. They rode the 1st gen Titan for 12 YEARS! Virtually unchanged except for minor and miniscule updates. Toyota could get away with that with the previous Tundra, but Nissan can't.
3) This dovetails with the previous reason I listed. They quit marketing the Titan quickly too. After the first two years, Nissan went stealth mode. You're the #5 of 5 half-ton truck makers and you're figuratively and factually hiding them in the back lot?
4) Lack of options. Not having a V6 base model to bring in lower end (aka younger) buyers who don't have established loyalty to the Big 3. And what happened to the Warrior concept Titan? That would have generated interest to get people on the lots.
5) Nissan's real reliability issue, upper management. They brought in truck people to help design the 2nd gen, and I can only assume they fired them a year later. It seems to me that upper management quickly cooled on the Titan and lacked vision for how to take it forward. It sold enough to not kill it until they could find something else to use the Canton plant for.
Honestly, I feel that everything covered in this video was cosmetic and symptoms of the reasons I listed above. No one ever got to see these cosmetic flaws because they had no reason to go to the Nissan dealer in the first place.
PS, I love my 2012 Armada and wouldn't hesitate to buy a non-diesel Titan.
The only reason this truck didn’t sell is advertising. Plain and simple. I have a diesel Titan XD I bought new in 2016. I’ve had soooo many conversations at the diesel pump with folks that had no idea it had a Cummins.
I’ve heard a lot if mixed reviews in the 5.0. If you scroll the comments on the 3 videos I made about this truck it’s either one side or the other, 5.0 is GREAT, or it’s AWFUL. Nowhere in the middle.

Considering the long record of durability in the smaller trucks, Id imagine Nissan could have made an ad campaign roasting the notorious reliability issues of the big 3, inserting clips of lifters ticking, transmissions slipping, cam phasers ,etc. Kind of like Ford and Chevy used to do to each other on TV.
I think you saying "deserved" to be is not the right wording. Maybe the reasons why, but not necessarily deserving. In all honesty, everyone knows that Titans and Tundras are head and shoulders above domestic trucks. Thats why the big three market so hard. The big three all have big issues and catastrophic. Titans and tundras are just better, if speaking without bias. And honestly I own a Gmc Acadia Denali and a Lexus RX450h. I drive a ton of vehicles. The Titan is just better than most and better priced.

You are focus on price and minor features… this is a dependable truck engine V8 with 15-20 mpg on regular fuel Nissan recommended premium fuel BUT ITS NOT REQUIRED.. i put regular unleaded and I still get 20 mpg oh highway and 16 city. This truck 20 year truck in my opinion so $65,000 over 20 years it’s a steal .. maybe you should own one and forget that the back door opens only 3/4 of the way.
If your buying a work truck for life the titan is what you want the v8 is bullet proof other than basic maintenance this truck shouldn't fail. If you want all the latest tech with turbos and cameras then get anything else just be mindful that all that new tech and turbos aint easy or cheap to fix.
I use to be a Chevy fan but since I bought a Nissan Titan felt in love with the Titan I have a 2010 Titan with 223k miles same engine original miles n haven’t had any problems that 5.6 engine better than that 5.3 and even that 5.7 hemi 😂
Reliable, proven V8. No auto start stop. No AFM. Solid transmission. No air suspension. That's why I bought it. And used, it was far cheaper than the competition for comparable features and milieage.

These interior peoblems are nothin remember when trucks used to have metal dashes ,no air bags and a floor dimmer switch like older f150's so i think i can make it ok in this truck
Older F150's didn't have an MSRP of $65,000. The interior itself isn't a problem per say, the interior is a problem COMPARED to the other options on the market for a similar price point.
That’s why I never buy one with sun roof they always take up about 3” of head space. If I could afford it it I buy one today.
Ford , Chevrolet, ram have so many issues and it seems the Titan so much more reliable

I’m going to buy “this truck” not a ram or anything else. In fact, I did buy a Titan Bronze Edition tonight. I traded in a 2021 SV because I knew this may be it for the Titans. For those of us that love them, their discontinuation is heart breaking. The Titan didnt speak to the masses, but it did speak to us that wanted practicality, power, towing capacity, etc WITHOUT all the “bells and whistles” that are being pumped out by other manufacturers and aren’t reliable. We want so bad to be in that era and I just don’t know if it’s truly reliable yet. My 2021 never let me down. I just had to

Some very valid points, I just got into a 2022 nissan titan Sv, I'm more of a car guy but I do appreciate a good truck. I drove a comparable f150 as a rental for approximately 1 month and definitely liked the truck it didn't have the upgrades like leather etc so for me it was a bare bones experience with the 5.0 l V8, loved it!. You are right in terms of size comparisons and other things nissan dropped the ball on, However in my quest to get a truck very price conscious I found a gem in the 2022 SV titan it beat the competition on price my out the door was less than 40grand 21900 miles on the odometer. It's definitely an adjustment and some getting used to but I'm happy I got this truck, saved money in the process I'm not towing and off roading so this truck fits the bill for now.
I've heard people talk about lack of headroom in the Titan before which is weird because I'm just over 6'2 and don't have this problem at all.
I think it really depends on what kind of 6’2 you are. I’m 6.0 even with what appears to be a 4’ torso and 2’ of legs, if you’re 4’2” of legs and a small torso you won’t sit as high as I do, even though I’m shorter, I sit closer to the pedals but stick up higher. Also, the moonroof kills a good 2”+ I would bet

You’re right about those things. I like my 1st gen and plan to keep it as long as possible , I know 2 people who loves their 2nd gen in both engine options. I think they should have focused on selling cheap good trucks and sell by volume than keeping up with the Joneses
Unfortunately that seems to be the popular thing to do…. Not many affordable raw trucks out there anymore. I think they’re great trucks, you just can’t miss on those things AND be that expensive. If MSRP was 50 and you could buy one new for 35-43ish, sure!
I have a 2023 titan and so far the best truck I have had and I have had the big 3 I really like this truck is there some things that could be better sure but that is with anything its been a great truck for me I tow a lot and it does its job
Just sold my 2005 Titan (original owner) for a new 2023 SV Titan. RAMs reliabilty issues, 2 Fords that stranded me, and 1 Silverado that loved going to the shop resulted in another Titan. Flawless engine and tranny, spunky and comfortable 19 years later made it easy to get this aTitan before they're gone. Wanted a Tundra before the last couple of years huge reliability issues. Thoroughly like this new truck. Correct on the low resolution rear camera.
The very very first thing I noticed from this truck when I tested it , drove it, was the interior size. I was like wow..it felt obviously and significantly much smaller than my 2007 toyota tundra, and F150, and Ram 1500. I was like wtf. I pretty much decided the buy this Titan after all the review video I watched. Then when I really saw it in person, a big NO NO....Damn, I gotta look for another truck again. Its a good truck, but it's my personal deal breaker here in term of the interior size, and leg room

No way could you buy a new Ram Rebel for $50,000 with the same package. The 2025 Rebel is only available in a 3.0L with cylinder deactivation which lead to engine problems long term.

Owned a Titan, it was terrible. Now own an F150 and love it. It was unreliable and Nissan was a pain in the ass to deal with at every turn. The interior is dated and behind all the other brands. The heavy hydraulic steering is annoying and tiresome and the dumb old V8 got 4-5 MPG worse than my 3.5L ecoboost while making less HP and Torque. It also imo doesnt look as good as the other brands. It had nice seats and the price point was attractive, but i came to realize there was a reason it was cheap.

@@CJColvin Same as three weeks ago. Best truck I've owned and it was cheaper than the Titan I bought before. Granted the Titan was a platinum and this is a fully loaded XLT. So while still expensive, definitely of overpriced relative to the market. I would never go back to the Nissan.

I just traded my 2020 Ram Laramie in on one and in my opinion it's a way better truck. Had Ford's, Chevy's and Rams and they are all getting far too complicated and in turn, unreliable. My brother traded his Ecoboost in on an XD because of the stupid cam phasers. The Rams exhaust manifolds are cracking left and right not to mention the lifter issues. The Chevys are just garbage and the Toyotas can't make an engine last more than 50k miles now. The Titans have a great reputation for being solid and reliable. I wouldn't call that lame. 🤷

It has a naturally aspirated V8 which has proven to not be good for the environment. Most people are not interested in Old relics rather they're looking for modern engines that give off lower emissions
They are wonderful Trucks AND VERY UNDERATED. I love mine. I would buy another one tomorrow. But I dont have to these things are like the old Ford Rangers you cant wear them out anytime soon. 10 years from now you will still see these trucks on the road just like the old Rangers.
