Hands down the most overlooked truck. I’ve had them all. My 21 Titan has been the best one I’ve owned. 9 speed, great ride, great fit and finish with quality materials, no rattles/squeaks…and the last true V8.

I bought that truck… That exact one. The TFL demo. I’m a car dealer in Grapevine Texas and purchased that Titan at auction. I was flipping through the Bluetooth settings, because I’m demoing it right now, and I see TFLtruck#1 and Nathan’s iPhone right below it from previously stored phones and immediately looked up this video. I’ve been a fan of the channel for years and was pretty shocked when I came across the names. Anyway, great truck, really enjoying it. Love the channel. Thanks for all the great content.

Did 179,000 on a Gen 1 2004 before the transmission took a dump, put about three sets of rotors on it, did close to 90,000 on a 2013 and currently have 55,000 on a 2019, the last two were Pro4X formats, no regrets, enjoy every minute on the road, hope they don't go away.

Nissan needs to bring the Warrior out to play. That really would show the big 4 that Nissan can play in the sand box and come out on top. Drop the GTR motor in and Warrior and is alive and kicking butt. Please don't kill the Titan. Everyone that sits in my truck always gets shocked on the options,Power and feel. While I do agree the MSRP on the trucks is too high but even comparing MSRP, you get more for your money with the Titan vs Chevy, Ford, etc… But Nissan always discounts these trucks well below MSRP. Before the parts shortages, I purchased my 2021 Pro-4x that had an MSRP of $63k and was out the door for $49k. The big 3 couldn’t touch it for that price given the features. Also, the step bars are not standard on the Pro-4x, they are a stand-alone option. The 9 speed is a lot better for towing than the 7 speed was. The 7 speed did hunt a lot when towing. Nissan really hurt themselves by not marketing the Titan. I remember the last time the Frontier was re-designed (in around 2005), they had commercials all over for the frontier. You don’t see it for the Titan. I do with it had auto 4wd though.

These trucks have been pretty dang good trucks. Unfortunately, what kept me from buying one - the price, and the fact that the dealers seem to have little to no wiggle room on the price. And that was before the pandemic caused truck prices to go out of hand. The domestic trucks offer way more in rebates, and the dealers seem to be way more receptive to haggling. I'm a value for money kind of guy, and unfortunately the Titan just doesn't offer quite enough for what you pay.

It is probably the most reliable and longest lasting truck made right now. Turbo engines are not going to go as many miles as a naturally aspirated engine so if getting to 300k miles or more is your thing buy the Nissan Titan. Avoid the diesel version though the Cummins engine made by Cummins sucks and does Nissan wrong. Nissan do not give up on it yet your sitting in a position to make a lot of money if you do it right. A lot of bad press going around on modern trucks not being reliable you could be the next Toyota if you stick with it.

Have a 2004 titan as well as a 2021 pro 4x. I love my 2004, feels like it will take me anywhere and almost have had no problems with it... Unfortunately I am not a fan of my 2021 titan. It has an extremely unresponsive gas pedal with a lag that has many complaints online. Also it's infotainment system is the worst ever. It understands nothing with it's voice command and is so rediculous I will ask me if I want to go to an address when I'm only a couple blocks away... Why even bother at that point? It's navigation is virtually useless unless you use Android auto and Google maps. Also it's sound is only ok and almost no customizations. For a vehicle of this status I should not want to be replacing a stereo of this style nor needing a pedal commander to hopefully get rid of my pedal lag that my older truck does not have.

      I'll add into this review
The safety features are extremely annoying, having to press buttons over and over especially when backing a trailer.
No button in bed to turn lights on.
Manual shift is just a gear lock out not like Ford's where it goes and stays in the gear.
Truck seems to hold full power back in first gear, lot of sound but it's not going anywhere.
Trans is smooth and aggressive when in tow mode, but when rolling through stop signs or down town areas through allies there's a huge delay before the truck wants to go.
The voice system is on par with Ford's last generation of sync.
Ride is decent but alot of noise in the front suspension when going over rough roads, more car like than truck. Doesn't feel very robust.
Traction control on is the same as with it off, truck just fights your inputs when in mud, sand, snow...
Camera really is worse than I thought it would be, it's not laughable, just plain pathetic.
AC is not as good as the big three at least mine isn't, test vs my 2016 ram work truck and wife's 2016 Ford. It's avg 4 degree warmer and fluctuates in tempature more. Basically in the middle of summer you feel like you're having hot flashes because the temp fluctuates that much.
Sound system is very good, seat are good, controls are good.
I'm not a brand loyal guy and I wish this truck was better. I owned the first gen when it came out and was very impressed this time around they get an A for effort but it's a no for me.
For me the AC and nannies are a no go I can deal with the clunky front end. But I can't deal with Karen riding shotgun and meat sweats in the summer.

I have a 2021 Pro-4X and love it. They are not lying about the MPG but I had a 2019 F-150 XLT that got better gas mileage but had all kinds of problems and felt cheap. This was after owning an 06 F-150 since new and having almost 200k on it when I traded it in in 2019. The MSRP sounds high but you are not going to pay that. The only options I don't have are the moonroof and cooled seats. MSRP was just over $60k and I paid $46. You will not find any other truck brand out there that gives you all of the options you get for less money. Memory seats, heated seats (even the back outside seats), power seats on both driver and passenger, and the list goes on and on. I looked at every brand and I am not brand loyal at all. There are a few things I don't like (or have to get used to) with the Pro-4X but after having it for almost three months now, I love it. It does everything really good. Others may do some things better but many things worse but the Titan is overall a better truck. Oh, and the seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in for any truck.

I don't think the interior is "lesser", just not as flamboyant. If anything, I think the exterior is the most handsome truck currently made. Everyone else seems to just be going for outlandish styling and I don't get it; they're trucks. This truck in black, is so clean and gets a lot of compliments from guys and gals. I do have the sports bar, but it only works on the black truck. Otherwise, nope. The reliability is great, and the warranty even better. Die-hards will argue their truck is the best based on nothing buy fanboy mentality.
