- I mean what else can we say? This is one heck of a monitor and OLED has certainly come a long way. Everything about this monitor is just great and for the asking price of US$999, it really is quite a no-brainer.

yall should not buy this. wait for mid 2024 there will be a semi glossy / probably a glossy 360hz 1440p 27 Inch QD-Oled which might even have a BFI. That will be 5x better than this, literally. Also some other better OLED options might come out
then when mid 2024 rolls around and a better monitor gets released, people will say to wait for the next best thing. It is an endless cycle of waiting if you think like that
@@MaddictTV That's false. You do realize that the monitor I just listed above is the " perfect monitor " for most people? You will never have to upgrade ever again. It's absolutely retarded to buy something now when you can wait a bit longer and buy 5x better than the Asus OLED. Unless you like spending money for fun then you do you, you still can't deny that it's extremely dumb. Also imagine buying a matte OLED LOL, not in a million years would I buy an oled with matte coating, and I'm especially talking about OLED monitors now, for LCDs even tho it's still horrible it won't matter as much.

Probably the best option for your money but honestly that's like waiting for the rtx 5000 series instead of getting the 4080 super when it comes out and that can play any game at 240hz wqhd for just 1000 bucks.
If you wait for the next best thing you'll lose out on the next best thing that comes out half a year later again and again.
Closing to mid 2024, and so far this thing is still the best value for 16:9 OLED. Seeing AOC unfortunately gives a mediocre result, LG and Asus still market their 480hz with 3x the price as this, and that's it. Even with text fringing issue, a simple MacType install and custom ClearType settings would fix the issue

Yeaaaah just got this monitor and it is not worth the price if you already have a decent 1440p high refresh rate monitor. I got mine through gift cards and a warranty gift card to replace my old one and it’s better for sure but not enough to justify the extra cost… and mine wasn’t even out of pocket cost for me
I really don't know what you do with your monitor but oled is significantly better when it comes to color and contrast. I only own a switch oled and an oled TV but I can 100% tell you, if I got an oled monitor I could never ever switch back to an ips panel.
I got it as good as new for €740, such a great deal. It was only used once 😂

is there a cheap monitor same size that matches well? eg for dual or triple monitor setup. if i have this as a main monitor i want two identical cheaper monitors same size and same bezel size so it all matches. does anyone know of any that match really well but cheap as possible? (doesnt have to be hdr compatible but better if so)
AOC AG276QZD 27" QHD OLED 0.03ms 240Hz G-Sync Monitor seems like the closest match to what you're talking about but it is still quite expensive. Hope it helps

Bullshit. Burn in issues don’t occurred for normal users with casual usage. This monitor has different problems - like unbearable haze effect around sharp edges, visible when displaying fonts.
for this prices you can have a lg c3, much better, i return this monitor

Not really, the monitor does not have an HDMI 2.1 port, which means it cannot support 4K @ 120Hz from the PS5.
I mean that it doesnt have 4k when its 1440p is clear right? 😅

@@TerafiedWhat is wrong with you people? Who the hell needs a HDMI 2.1 in 2K monitor for a console?!? 2.0 outputs 2K with 120Hz perfectly. For pc there is a fully capable DisplayPort. 2.1 is needed ONLY for 240Hz or 4K with HDR/120Hz
for a $999 I'd rather get the QD-OLED PG49WCD for $1200 which is 49" screen.
Im scared of getting that resolution. Firstly anything below an rtx 4090 would not be able to get the 144hz consistently and even if you use it as two monitors it's shit because you get severe burn in if you watch a lot of TH-cam or even just have windows open on it for too long.
*144hz because that's the minimum I can play on without puking at the lag.

Some people pay 1500+ on a TV. Others sit in front of their computer for most of the day and rather spend 1000 for a good monitor.
1000 really isn't that much as I spend around 10 hours a day on my pc right now. That number will go up by a few hours when I start my new job too. Easily worth even 2k or 3k for me.
