For everyone who is wondering, the use of higher dpi as opposed to just changing sensitivity is the cursor doesn't skip over as many pixels as you move it. However, anything over a few thousand dpi isn't typically used as the difference is negligible.

@@basilez When you can drop the kind of money he does every month like its nothing, you dont really NEED to understand the market or even the technology you're purchasing. When you're working class and have to save for years just to comfortably afford a piece of tech, you research for months and months until you're basically an expert so that you can make the most well-informed decision with your money so you don't waste it, because itll be years until you can do another big purchase like that again.

800 is insanley low, maybe more like 1600 dpi
