    I was looking into this monitor for a while now, ever since it was announced. And, i do a lot of productivity work. So, knowing the texts are blurry this way, is kinda a deal breaker for me. Using a 48" LGCX currently, couldn;t imagine needing anything brighter but I get it for HDR content especially films you can get more accurate.
    For me £1100 is just too much for 1440p, I got this 48" 4k for a few hundred less and 4k is much more noticeable upgrade over 1440p for me than 240hz vs 120hz. Plus for watching films the larger screen doubles as a cinema screen.
    Would love to see some more UW's come in, like a 40" roughly 5120x2160 120Hz would be end game material for myself.
    Edit also no speakers at that price point when the TV's at the same price have really serviceable ones is pretty insulting.

The text issue is not a a big deal, nobody should be sitting that close to a monitor. Speakers on this don't make sense on this even for $1000. If you had the money to spend on this monitor you already have headphones or external speakers. Lets not make it a thing. The monitor is amazing and the oled burn in problem should honestly be considered a feature at this point, It's part of the tech and is not going away. If you want a longer burn warranty, good luck. I wish LG or Asus would make a cheaper variant. I think the price could come down with these compromises:
    - Remove RGB lighting. Not everyone cares about it and it can always be added aftermarket.
    - Reduce refresh rate to 144 Hz. Consoles can't go past 120 anyway and 240 can only be used by the beefiest PCs.
    - Have the most basic stand possible without adjustments. I always detach the factory stand and use a VESA arm so a fancy stand is completely wasted on me.

    • @jabedahmed8177
      @jabedahmed8177 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Thats not really the way costs work. RGB is a cheap addition.
      Their stands are already used in many other products they sell, again cheaper to manufacture as economies of scale.
      The bulk of the costs is coming for the panel and the technology and probably their heatsink tool since these are made specifically for their OLED range.
