    I got the 2.0 update a few days ago and it is really an impressive drive now. I would like to see them survive and still believe in the light asset business strategy. Just mismanaged at the top with Geeta as the CFO. I believe they had good intentions but she simply tried to cut costs to much and didn't higher enough for accounting and had to much faith in DTC. Hopefully they give up control and an investor takes over. Henrik can stay on design team but Geeta Gotta Go.

    • @EV-365
      @EV-365  หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yup, the husband/wife combo was not good. The promo pic of Henrik being relegated to the background while Geeta stood strong in the front tells us all we need to know of the power dynamic there. Best case scenario is someone sees an opportunity here and saves the day, otherwise there will atleast be a very unique community of Ocean owners out there who I know will rally to support each other.

      Be mindful if you go to sell that, because of the dramatic price cuts, your vehicle is worth NOWHERE NEAR what is was unless you got the Ocean One.

    I appreciate your videos. I did get a tech to come out about a month after I got the Ocean Ultra and he fixed my windows to open and did and update to the 1.11 which fixed some of the error messages. Two of them came from Phoinex AZ to Las Vegas and they was Great and I have continued to keep in touch. I just got the 2.0 update last week which added the hold feature and some others. The only error I get once in a while is the front camera especially when the sun is bright. He said that fix should come in 3.0 if we make it there. @EV-365  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Love Rivian. We have the R1T and no regrets. They had minor software issues to start, but they listen to the customers and get updates out monthly. They also have deeper pockets than Fisker with the backing of Amazon as well. With that said, it is a new company, so you never know. But I would still recommend Rivian to anyone that was interested. One thing I would suggest, is look at the used market if you don't mind used. You could save quite bit that way on the R1T.

    I have a hard time feeling bad for consumers who put themselves in these positions. You are willingly buying a product that simply isn't finished. Paying a premium to be a company's beta tester. Someone that states "well it's just software" simply doesn't understand that software is the most difficult part of modern devices to update. I can buy new tires. I can't buy new window motor. I can buy a new steering rack. What I can't do is fix a bug in line 32 million of a product's code. What SHOULD happen is that if a company goes belly up, all their source code should go open source. That would all these products, whether they are cars or phones or anything else, from turning into useless e-waste. But we all know that kind of pro-consumer legislation will never happen. So stop believing that some software glitch will get fixed after-the-fact. If it doesn't work on the day you bought it, don't expect it to magically work after the company already has your money. Stop being a guinea pig for these companies.

    There was never any hope for this vehicle... The most basic aspect of staying in business is to not sell your products below what it costs to manufacture them. At no stage did Fisker ever come remotely close and for all those who think it's such a pity that Fisker is going to the wall with such a great value car... You are wrong. The cars needed to be ratailing clost to 100k for ny profits to be made and suddenly, the cars are not great value and would have zero buyers interested.
    That is the clear truth

    this is well deserved if you buy a car that you knew was headed toward bankruptcy

    Where do ev companies get so many idiots CEOS? This is so easy. 1. make EV car, 2 license NACS, and Tesla UI and TEsla FSD. 3. Go on sale. Is it really that hard? Why do they feel that have to do EVERYTHING AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN??

      The irony is Henrik actually took the out of the box approach to building the vehicle by bringing in Magna to build the cars, but he clearly just cannot run a company. Fiskers issues appear to be all operations and financial management related.

    Keep hearing can't repair blah blah blah. Anything made can be repaired. Ppl have built their own ev

      Yes, for those with Fiskers that are running fine and have the latest software, I do not think future repairs will be a problem. And hopefully there will be enough of these discount Fiskers out there for parts.

    Software bugs are one thing but many owners have paper plates, i.e. they don't legally own the vehicle such as yourself. That is outrageous. No matter how much you like the vehicle there is only so much one can stomach. As a Y and R1T owner, I simply shake my head. Fisker is a fraud...again. Good luck Bruh.

      100%. Fisker designed a car with some cool ideas and a lot of potential just couldn’t design an actual company around it. Very disappointing. I’ll always have my R1T. It’s my happy place!

      Where can we get one? After seeing news of the $25k version, I started looking. It would make a good off-road vehicle with an engine and drive train swap. No smog check because it's electric.
