I have not review the 80 AMP Lucid charger, but I am sure it is quality. The mobile connector I had was great. Yes, you can use the same chargers on both the Lucid and Rivian. Currently, they both have the J-1772 connector. Eventually both will move over to the NACS/Tesla connector which is also compatible with an adapter.

That looks correct actually. 12 amps x 120 volts = 1,440 watts = 1.4 kw. Do you know if the receptacle is 15 amps or 20 amp. If 20, you could set the charger to 16 amps and pull 1.9kw. Unfortunately, 120 volt outlets are only good for trickle charging. You'll need a 240 volt service to get higher speeds.

It's 20 amps. I tried to raise the amperage to 16 but it won't allow me to. And I tried it on 240v and it chargers at 8.5k

Yes. Have that available on the Rivian has been awesome. The Gravity is coming with the Tesla/NACS connector native so that will be great!

No problem! No, it would not make that any faster. The speed of charge will be limited by your outlet/braker before charger. This charger can get faster speeds but you would need an outlet/braker setup that can safely deliver you that energy.

More companies are getting access to Tesla's network as well. We have that on Rivian and it makes travel so much easier. And still being able to use EA when available is great!

I wish EV companies would add a built in covers for the glass roofs as well. Texas heat is similar. Hopefully they decide to add some ports to the frunk as the final version comes out!

Not that I have found. I use a computer stand (without the legs) that has holes on it and screw my charger onto to that so I can swap them out. I still had to make four holes in the wall to hold that up, but those are the only four I will need to make. If you do not need to swap out a ton, I think there might be some weight charger poles you can get.

Yeah, all that sounds good. The key is to default set the Tesla charger to make sure it does not pull more than 24 amps (80% of 30). That is a little bit of a process where you have to connect to the IP address of the charger but there are videos online showing you how to do it.

Such as…….? There is no electric SUV that can match the size, range, and luxury of the Lucid Gravity currently/ entering the market. The closest competitor is the Tesla Model X, and Cadillac Escalade but the price is nearly the same.

R1S and Kia EV9 are probably the other two. Agreed, they will all cost out pretty close to each other when speced out the same. Lucid will be an efficiency beast as well.

I don’t have any problems with mine. I have owned four Teslas - a roadster and 3 Model S. Software isn’t nearly as good as Tesla, but the rest of the car is better. Range, finish, fit, styling. All better.

They have over $5 billion in cash. Should be plenty of money to survive until they deliver the Gravity which will sell much better than the Air because it’s an SUV.

@@peterwright837i agree. I hope it sells well. Range, features and size will beat the other 80K+ SUV’s in its class and the ones that will be 115k won’t compete at all with it.

A sad story of selling the Air to make room for the Fisker. We are stuck with the Fisker for now! It really came down to the Rivian R1T and the Lucid Air Pure for us for personal use, and I opted for the truck. Honestly, loved both. If we wanted a sedan, we would have kept the Pure and been very happy!

Did you ever get your Fisker up and running?

Yes, it is pretty sweet! It has so much storage functionality. More than any other EV currently out there other than the R1S I would say. There is definitely a place in the martket for this.

I would say with the Escalade, the Rivian R1S, and Kia EV9 along with the Gravity will be the comparable vehicles.

@@EV-365 the upcoming Hyundai Ioniq 9 as well, similar silhouette to this (and the old Mercedes Benz R-Class).
