Good video. Fisker needed more time. But more time requires a boat loan of more money
Their first vehicle needed to be almost perfect. No glitches , no problems.
Instead due to shallow pockets, they rushed it out.
Results? Worst key fob in the history of Vehicles, super glitchy software (especially early on)
Brand new buyers getting locked out of their vehicles. 12 volt batteries dying.
The list goes on and on. Now fisker is saying nothing. How does it take months to push out a software update? We are not talking about 100,000’s or thousands of vehicles here
Henrik and his leech were in way over their heads here. They needed to be a partner on a larger company. Not the head honcho

I'm not so well versed in how "luxurious" the Ocean is but the Polestar 3 seems to be quite luxurious + built in the US this summer, initial driving impressions seem good. for those who have such car it might only change in case the community stays together strong and finds some clever mechanis to run some repair centers or spots.
If those few in the USA can survive this way they might live for quite a long time cause Magna will most likely not steal away and hide if everyone knows that it is a Magna with a fisker hull on top.
Finally: 42 years ago we had a similiar situation when a company died with about 10.000 or so sold
Delorean since then increased its brand and product value a lot and back then these cars were sold with a total weak engine underpowered .
There was only the unique paintless metalbody with goldwing doors and a lot of shorcomings - today no one cares.
That is the only hope that Ocean might find a new destination cause back then the production was stopped 4 years or so when back to the future became that movie block buster hit and demand started to increase over night.

I honestly don't know how any rational shopper could justify buying an Ocean, unless they've got lots cash to burn on what looks to be a very early public beta test of a vehicle. Leasing makes a whole lot more sense, but even then I'd be wary. Sounds like they had a Hyundai/Kia style roll-out of EVs on a shared platform with zero cash to do so. I'm no huge fan of Tesla, but they came out of the gate with the Model S, which had tons of incentives for buyers to switch, including the $7500 tax credit (back when manufacturers had a ceiling of 200k units sold before that credit went to $0), a rapidly expanding charging network, free charging on that network, competitive luxury features like air suspension, along with 4-way lumbar support, and a manufacturer who you could at least somewhat trust to be around in the next 3-5 years, not the next 3-5 weeks. Great video!

You’d have to assume production of a bespoke model and pledge to support it in order to get folks into showrooms, and even then there are more established and or desirable products out there for similar money being built by brands that aren’t on life support. If the Ocean were a sales success getting rave reviews it’d be one thing, but why mess with impending doom?

There is nothing there any other company would want. The Ocean is not competitive, there is no demand for it. SUV form without SUV function, it is really a hatchback, and after ten months of sales there are STILL no photos or videos of anyone being brave enough to take an Ocean onto even a simple dirt road of any kind. The platform is a slight variation of the Magna platform, the software is an instruction manual for how not to write a UI, the car is an inefficient extremely heavy, almost a thousand pounds heavier than a Model Y, engineering nightmare with poor cargo space for the size and style...
Any other company would have to move all of the tools and dies from Magna to their own factory to have any hope of not losing a ton of money on the production, and then they would have to raise the price of the Ocean by about $20,000 I estimate to hope to break even...and there just is no demand.

Fisker is dead and the ocean too, cause there are no assets in a company with no plant and no much more than a developed car.
And if Fisker would have been bought then the contracts with Magna might have to be re negotiated cause I bet Fisker did not pay and therefore Magna canceled the contract which means: there is nothing you can buy from Fisker than the cars in stock and inventory

I get that software is important for an EV, but what about fit and finish, material quality, attention to detail, etc? I remember when the Karma came out and a local Ford Dealer (Ted Britt) had half a dozen of them, unsold at two year old. I was there helping a friend car shop (she ended up with an Acura she still has) and I asked to look at one and the fit and finish was by far the worst I have ever seen on a production model. Worse than a mid-90s Hyundai Accent bad, on a vastly over-priced, kinda ugly model from a dead brand.

Shame on you wanna be journalists. There are still problems with Tesla AutoPilot with phantom braking events, we still don’t have production FSD YET you are never consistently harsh on Tesla about this. Tesla still delivers cars with visible problems yet you don’t critique them harshly as a manufacturer. The CyberTruck is being delivered without AutoPilot or FSD yet you are not harsh on them for doing so. When the Model 3 was 1st released there was a laundry list of things requiring fixing (water in trunk, taillights, noisy, etc.) demonstrating this is not a Fisker-only problem. If you don’t want to judge vehicles with a consistent standard, disclose your bias upfront.
