    What are you opinions on aftermarket radiators like Mishimoto (didn't hear great things about them TBH) or CSF? Any reputable companies making intake manifolds for bk1's or is getting it ported OEM sufficient enough?

    • @ProdigePerformance
      @ProdigePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Ported bk1 intake manifold ported and polish is great to a certain degree... i always prefer a custom intake manifold after the 500 whp mark (3.5 plenum) over the stock. I tested out the stock intake manifold and it was sufficient till I had it at 35 psi. Started showing restrictions.
      Radiator options. If you get a mish rad make sure you buy directly from them do you get the warranty because they’re notorious for leaking due to poor welds and design.
      CSF would be the best option

    Most forum posts say gap at .028 but 3pt8 website says .024 is best, in your experience, what seems to be the sweet spot?

    • @spectrum870
      @spectrum870 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On my personal experience with my 400whp bk2 2.0. .024 works best to me. The gap widens over time. When it gets over .028 i start to break up

    • @ProdigePerformance
      @ProdigePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The rule of thumb when gapping spark plugs. More boost = smaller gap
      If you’re bk1 I recommend.028
      If you’re bk2 @ 28 psi .024 works best.
      Another example, on my build my spark plugs were gapped at .018 but I was boosting at 33-44 psi

    Genuine question, why not 550cc injectors? Are those not enough for a stuffed turbo? I thought they wouldve been plenty

    • @ProdigePerformance
      @ProdigePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Bk2 injectors are practically 525cc injectors
      Bk1 are even smaller
      I recommend 1000cc because of e85
      If you’re using pump gas then 525s can take you to 300
      750s can take you to 370 on pump
      And 1000s will take you to 430-450 whp on pump gas
      Use the FIC or DW injector chart and it gives you a pretty accurate answer on which injectors you’ll need

    What about wheel horse power for stuff turbo for bk1s??🤨

    • @ProdigePerformance
      @ProdigePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I didn’t include it in here for 2 reasons.
      1 being because the bk1 turbos are capped at 21 psi (map sensor)
      2. Being the fact that not many people
      Get a stuffed turbo for the bk1
      That being said, I do have dyno charts of the Exceldyne stuffed turbo on a bk1 2.0t making 310 whp on 100 octane at 21 psi
      On e85 it would make 320 - 325 whp
      For the 3Point8 performance turbo, the stage 1 is like the Exceldyne turbo and the stage 2 is slightly bigger.

    Hey there, I saw that you talked about the 3point 8 performance stuffed turbo, but do you know anything about the Exceladyne stuffed turbo. I’m looking at buying one and I see that the Exceladyne is much cheaper. Do you know if there is any difference? Thanks!

    • @ProdigePerformance
      @ProdigePerformance  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Exceldyne stuffed turbos are practically the same as the stage 1 3Point8 performance turbos.
      On the dyno graph a bk1 stuffed turbo from Exceldyne makes just over 300 wheel on pump gas full bolt ons (6 speed)
      It was also posted a week later that on 100 octane it made 310 whp. I’m sure with e85 you can squeeze another 10-15 whp out of the Exceldyne option for the bk1.
      As far as the bk2 Exceldyne turbo there’s no up to date information pertaining it really.

    • @themejias213
      @themejias213 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ProdigePerformance alright that’s what I was thinking. I figured the Exceladyne is basically the 3.8performances stage 1. I have a bk2 so I’m not sure, but I think I’d probably be able to get more power out of the 3.8performance stage 2 over the Exceladyne. Thing is in the picture the Exceladyne still shows it having a 9blade unlike the 3.8 performance stage 1 that retains the 12 balde. So I really don’t know lmao.

    • @ProdigePerformance

      If you’re a bk2, your best bet is stuffed turbo. That turbo can take you to 440 whp.
      The 3071 I would recommend for the bk1 2.0s. Or simply get a arashi 3071 turbo it’s plug and play. No sense in getting a manifold since the stock one is perfectly fine for smaller turbos

      You’ll need a lot. You’re better off staying with stuffed turbo. If you really want a bigger turbo for more power I would go with the arashi 3576 turbo 81 ar housing t3
      Get the Gencoupe store manifold
      Haltech
      Custom downpipe
      Custom intercooler pipe
      Injectors
      Etc etc. list goes on. It’s more money
      Or you can simply get a haltech upgrade the injectors and make 450 wheel with the stuffed turbo on e85
      Haltech allows you to use aftermarket injectors for the bk2 2.0t instead of being limited
