- It's finally here! I'm so excited to share the finished Orange Albertine Jacket with you today! This cardigan from Norwegian designer, Sidsel Høivik was my big winter project and it took me about 5 and a half months to finish it from casting on. In this video, I share my thoughts on the process from start to finish and give you the big reveal of this beautiful sweater.

Wow, Becca, this is a masterpiece indeed. Something you can wear for a lifetime. Pieces like that are heirloom pieces, that can be passed down, that`s how sturdy and high quality they are. And the pattern is timeless, traditional. I love those colours by the way. So refreshing. 🙂 I also love your wrap top you are wearing today. I think this would also make a wonderful dress. 🙂
Thank you so much, Cristina! The colors are lovely - that is definitely the first thing that caught my eye. She also sells the kit in shades of purple, which also looks great. I love the idea of making a dress with the same construction of the wrap top. Thank you! :)
What an heirloom you have created!
Thank you! I can't wait for the cooler weather to be able to put it to use. And for many years to come!
Oh, Becca! This is STUNNING! And you got a chance to do so many fiber things all in one project - knitting, crochet and embroidery! Too cool. I think I already follow her over there, but I'll double check to make sure I am. This is 1,000 times out of my depth, but I can appreciate just extraordinary the work is. I am in the midst of crocheting a pair of slippers. The pattern isn't available any longer so I'm trying to go by the pictures, only, to recreate them. I got hopelessly lost on my lace knitting, but just frogged it yesterday, so I'm anxious to start over and conquer! And thank you for showing your fuzzy helper during the button portion! Such a cutie! Love & hugs
Thank you, thank you, LadyValkyri! It was cool to get to do all of those crafts in one object. I don't usually mix and match like that, but this has inspired me. Good luck with the slipper re-creation! That sounds like it might be tricky to do just from pictures. Sometimes frogging and starting over is the best option. I know you will get that lace knitting down this time! And Freyja (the fuzzy helper) says, "thank you!" :) Hugs to you, friend!
The jacket is stunning.
Thank you so much!
Wow. What a tour de force! It is beautiful
Thank you, friend! Sidsel's patterns are all over the top amazing. I was really surprised it didn't take me a lot longer to finish.
