Loved watching you spin! I was spinning on my Turkish spindle will I watched
Fascinating! And watching you spin and ply was like watching alchemy! So meditative.
I'm so glad you liked it!
I did some spindle spinning while watching! Thank you for the tour of your spindle collection!
Hooray! Thanks for spinning with me!
Awesome collection, when we think of how serious these spindles were and are as tools that are used for survival it brings a new appreciation to the craft.
Thank you for your comment! I couldn't agree more.
This was so interesting, thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for this stunning overview of spindles and how you use them... I really enjoyed it. I have a few, love my Russian-style ones from ThevSpindle Shop in Australia, he makes exquisite ones. Best wishes to you!
Thank you so much! I am glad you enjoyed the video. I love my Russian spindles and have some yak and silk yarn that I spun on them waiting patiently to be knitted into a lovely shawl. I will have to look for the shop you mentioned.
Thank you for all information and inspiration ♥️🇫🇮🇸🇪
So nice of you! Thank you for the lovely comment!
Hi Becca, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️
Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast and your array of beautiful Spindles and the different ways they spin.
I have quite a collection of Top Whorl Spindles, which is the way I learned and a couple of Turkish Spindles and finally a Support Spindle that a friend has kindly let me borrow, I haven't quite mastered that one as yet.
I have the Nano 1.1 and the eWheel 6.
I think I might just have to buy a Grab Spindle, now I've seen how to use one, then I think my collection would be almost complete.
Thanks again for sharing this video podcast and your expertise , with the different Spindles 🎉🎉
Happy Spinning Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🥰
Take care and stay safe
Love and hugs Jen xx ( England) 1❤❤🫂🫂🐕
Hi Jen! Thank you so much for your lovely comment! There are so many wonderful spindle makers and spindle types. I'm just in love with the variety of them. Best of luck with mastering the support spindle! I've got quite a bit of work on those, myself. :) Happy spinning, friend! Hugs!

Thank you for your kind comment
Love your sweater. Is that home spun or commercial yarn? I'd love to get some of that colorway.
Thank you so much! I call this sweater "Berries and Cream." This is hand spun yarn. It's three different bases, one is Malabrigo Nube in the color Cerise, and the other two are from an independent dyer called A Magical Farm. One is 100% merino and the other is a CVM wool/silk blend. If you want more details on the pattern and how I worked with the color changes, I talk about that in my Summertime Make-A-Long video: th-cam.com/video/Q7ALo2ob9y8/w-d-xo.html
@@beccasyarns8020 thank you, I'll take a look. I'm just beginning my spinning journey. My work so far is not what I would call yarn lol. I'm hoping I'll make beautiful yarn someday.
Do you remember the town and store in SD that you got the stones?
Yes! It was the Everything Prehistoric gift shop in Hill City. It's part of the Black Hills Institute of Geological Research. I would highly recommend a visit. Such a cool place!
Hi, Becca! I’ve been eyeing a basque spindle on Etsy, and I immediately thought of spinning it from the bottom. Would that help? It was fun spinning with you!
Hi there! Thanks for your suggestion! I'll have to give that a try. There isn't much at the bottom, but it might be the way to do it. My husband bought mine as a gift for me from an Etsy seller and the construction is beautiful. The bobbin part is so smooth and lovely. :) I will keep working at it, and hopefully it will click one of these days. Thanks for spinning with me!
I have a bag of agora goat wool in closet. It has been moved from address to address. Time!!!!
You will get to it someday. It will wait for you! I love the smooth feel and shine of angora. So pretty!
