  • In this video I share a pattern of my own design - the Fireside Pullover - modeled after a Mexian Baja Jacket I own and love. I also share a brand new knitting project to take me through the long winter. Both are Norwegian stranded knitting. Let's get cozy!

Have a blessed Christmas and wonderful new year my friend.
I love those Indio jumpers / poncho style garmetns. Used to wear them in the eighties a lot. The sweater your are wearing is devine.
I am currently working on another Ankers Summer Blouse, by Petite Knit. But I am knitting a winter version. I also started working on a vintage embroidery kit.
Huggs from Fairy Tale Cottage, Schurwald Forest, Germany. 🌲 🌲 🌲

I am so amazed by how much you are able to knit. You are so much faster than I am! I can't wait to see your finished embroidery kit. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you, too! May your lovely cottage in the Schurwald Forest be full of love and laughter this holiday season. Huggs!

I can’t wait for you to publish the pattern for your beautiful pullover! In the meantime I must learn to steek 🙂

Thank you so much! On my first ever steeking project I was super nervous, so I knitted up a test swatch in stranded knitting in the round with steek stitches. It was only four or five inches long. Then I did my first practice steek on that and I could see how the wool (it works best with wool since it likes to stick to itself) acted after it was cut. It really helped me feel more comfortable before cutting into my big project. Good luck!
