I made a st trina torch build and I gotta say, it aint bad actually, not great, but it's 100% usable in invasions! You need a solid off-hand weapon to go with it. I used a sacred claymore, and it's a ton of fun now that I'm used to using it. Sleep proc w trina torch mainhand, claymore alarm clock, and the hitstun nets you another free torch hit
I didn't play pvp, so I got inspired by this guy and decided to try! It was fun! One of the first encounters was that I invaded a trio who were so aggressive with massive desync, true comboing me with moonveils magic etc. and then I got pointed down with emote, and they buried me under their toxic pots spam. Well, other invades were much less toxic, but sometimes even successful. Your videos very helpful.
This is exactly what I'm trying out now for my first character that is also RL150. I leveled her as a str/int main but now trying to introduce some faith for buffs. This video is definitely gonna help!

Watching Chase and Lost back to back is a case of strangely enjoyable whiplash. Chase is a kind soul who always ends his video with this Mr. Rogers-level-of-sunshine double goodbye and refers to the people he's trying to kill as "Hostie". Lost, meanwhile, is this chaotic little gremlin that JUST released a video ranking the feet of Elden Ring and has these highly convoluted and strange threats he gives to his hosts. It's like Chase is the neighbour I wish I had, but Lost is this angry, scraggly pug-pomeranian mix I saw in the street and I will have a very strongly worded message for anyone that insults either of these two
I'm very indecisive but, I think im going to stick with my scrubby electrifying faith build, for the DLC. Those lightning incantations are just so stong... when/if they land. Looking forward to your DLC content🖤
Fun video as always, and honestly it couldn't have come at a better time! As I've mentioned I just prepped a build just like this for the DLC, but I think this stat spread is much better for what I wanna do with my 200 build. I was looking for a preferable stat spread for rebirth anyhow, as I haven't really used the sword of night and flame since I leveled strength up. This video helped a lot!, thanks! Now to figure out where to sink the extra levels...
Going 45/45 int/fth with str/dex at 21/20 on RL150 to try out as many weapons and spells as possible with near optimal efficiency with the golden order seal. Can't wait. I hope there's an int/fth infusion.
pretty good idea to merge the str/int and str/fai builds. My main gravity build is 125 and my Str/faith build 139, might have to bring one of them to 150 to have it all in one package! This would be perfect to try a ton of new weapons in the DLC
I did something similar, but I went 25 faith and then 11 int so I can swap on int talisman to use the int weapons, and 20 mind. makes such a versatile build. would be a lot more comfy at 200 but all the cool kids are at 150 so I'm feeling the peer pressure lol. I'd love to do a true faith/int build, even though there's not a lot of variety, it looks pretty fun.

Since you'll be using some Int for your strength builds I'd like to recommend the Alabaster Lord's Sword. Not for PvP because it is the shortest greatsword and the AoW, while damaging, isn't too great since it would pull in the other players but then again it could have some use. I'd highly recommend it for PvE. Its R2 attacks are much stronger than any other greatsword's R2 and fully charged R2's are just barely weaker than the GUGS's charged R2 for the fraction of the stamina cost. The Alabaster Lord's Sword is an absolute beast at chunking enemies and bosses on top of breaking enemy poise with well timed charged R2 attack. Axe Talisman and Spiked Cracked Tear add an extra 25% more damage or so and it's pretty good.
Chase do you ever plan to make quick build planners with every weapon/shield and ash of war setup you typically use in your pvp builds? it would help a little bit more when putting these together ourselves when it seems at the beginning you just show the points you put in.
Hey Chase, it seems you have quite a similar idea for DLC to mine. I've gone into str/dex/INT/FTH, where the first two are mostly for requirements, as I wanted to squeeze the most high fantasy feel from my char. So far I run with Royal Greatsword, Golden Order Greatsword, Ordovis's Greatsword and Siluria's Tree +10, also Sacrificial Axe +25 as I used it basically until Malenia. I run Crucible armor set and use Horn incant as my base engage move, it's actually pretty cool against Malenia where you can immediately follow-up with Ordovis's Vortex, so she kneels nicely (unless she's cheating again and resetting her stance health). I also found out that with Bullgoat Talisman I can land Scarlet Aeonia very consistently in PvE, as you get virtual over 101 poise while casting. So it's much better than people paint it. Also for PvP I would assume it wrecks if player have nowhere to run. On same note I think Horn incant is really cool to try in PvP, uncharged to trade and charged with Godfrey Icon for Estus punish. Sorry for the wall of text. TLDR: Cool vid, and cool build. Maybe try doing invasions with Golden Order seal and Crucible set, mixing INT/FTH weapons that scale mostly off those stats. Should be pretty viable and super fun at 150. No weapon squeezes 100% but you don't lose much either, and you get really cool variety.
Also side note, as Royal Greatsword weights roughly twice as much as other weapons I use, I can have Golden Order Greatsword or Ordovis's Greatsword and Siluria's Tree, for softswap at any time if I feel like it. I don't use any other truly ranged stuff on this build so it's fun to pull it out quickly if there is need for that.
Volcano pots almost always do a hit or 2 on wakeup, the damage isn't great though. If Tears was in this game it'd probably see more use. Lightning pots are very strong even without much Dex though
I will take an occult weapon using poison bleed guy with reduvia and flamberge into the DLC, poison mist in pvp, poison infused venomous fang for pve (that way, i believe it has deadly posion running as long as normal poison)
16:06 with airborne ashes (gold breaker, thundercloud, black knife and blade of calling and lions claw) you can only be knocked by status procs and death.
Love your videos. Do you have any suggestions for a quality build that also brings 12int, 14faith just to be able to equip and use all the new dlc weapons? I realise it won't really be optimized for any weapon but it would be cool to be able to try all of them out.
Hey, Chase! Wanted to ask you a question: do you think the "meta" level for online play will move up from 133/150 due to the DLC content being supposedly harder/higher level?
Hey Chase, are you gonna have a password for your community to run the dlc with since every time someone in the group kills a shared bearer everyone in the group gets a buff to increase runes? We can have to to 5 groups going so the buff could be up pretty often. Also nice to see messages and or coop with others in the group too instead of randoms.
oooh you saw my comment😂 if you see this one you should try a magic watchdogs greatsword with waves of darkness, it has one of the highest int scalings when magic infused and strangely retains pretty good strength scaling😊

I always have to press Y (which opens the submenu) then RT or LT depending on which weapon I want to 2H. Are you just doing it so fast that I am not seeing it or using a different method to switch to 2H?

yo dude is the class actually important? like the starting class? iam on my first playthrough and picked prisoner. about to finish the game and get ready for DLC now iam not sure tho, if i should make a fresh character for my second playthrough or play NG+ what do you think?:)
So the starting class can allow you a few more points when trying to optimize your build at a certain level like 125 or 150. For example, the hero class if I was making a strength arcane build I get about three extra points compared to the vagabond in the stats I like to use for my build at the same level. So it’s not a drastic difference honestly. It’s worth it if you do PVP all the time and your always trying to maximize your builds!

Ramlethal pfp detected, opinion respected
Literally been racking my head for three days with this same thought. Int buffs require too high stats compared to faith

Perfect for the entire game
