Going in at 166, it allows me to invade/co op with level 150 - 200, while still being able to play with the 150 meta crowd. Dex/Arcane, using bloodflame incantations 😃
Chase encounters the St Trina Torch in the wild and nearly dies. Just goes to show you Chase, how brutally powerful it truly is 😏 I believe I will be going into the DLC with a level 200 faith/lightning build.
I'm going to use a character I got to 306 for the minimum stats to use every weapon and spell in the base game (as well have a good HP/FP/STA pool) so I can use everything in the DLC as a scout for what I want for my other characters' builds.

RL150 with 80 arc, 12 faith, 18str and 22 dex. I'll mainly use occult weapons of all classes and my main is flamberge and off hand reduvia. I took the weapon choices from you Chase, I find your content to be best for weapon choice. I watched Rust for a dagger GS tutorial, Steel for how to make the build quickly on pc, lots of different creators and small channels for combos and roll catches with different weapons. One handed GS have a true combo utilizing a throwing dagger headshot with the running attack hitsun staggering their head forward i believe. You can use Blood Tax after the HS! I also have a 70 int 30 dex build that uses the moonveil and slicer combo then piercer rollcatch as well as the piercer and greatsword spell combo. Thx to Gigas my man and all the small creators! I optimize my builds with various talismans, Chright (Talisman tutorial) and Azael (Crimson+2 with 53vig saving 7 lvl) gave me ideas. Erdtree +2 is really good too at 56 vig and stamina boost is godlike at saving levels.
I think I've finally settled on a dex/faith 138 to start out with, and go from there. 54 dex/19 fai. It's probably my favorite pve build, but still really fun pvp. I also have a lvl 200 str/fai, 150 int, and 80 arcane ready for it as well, but will first be playing with the 138 build
idea is to go with as much arcane as possible to be able to discover max items possible, everything is possible. especialy me getting destroyed in the DLC
I'll be going with 138, covers both 125 and 150 which is ideal for invasions while still having to optimize your builds to squeeze the most out of them.
Hey Chase, actually they plan to add option to manually enable/disable pvp locations in pre DLC patch on the 20th. As for level for DLC I have 175 but I think I will go with great rune inactive, I feel my char got to strong and would like to struggle a bit. And once more I think you could try to flip build you had yesterday to be more INT/FTH with str/dex only for the requirements and see if you have fun with that. Edit: A bit of clarification, it seems I misunderstood 'Individual Summoning Pools can now be enabled/disabled in the newly added Map Functions Menu.' Apparently, it's only a co-op feature. I'm not invading myself and honestly thought that you enable invasion areas in the same manner as co-op areas.
Worst case you can +24/+9 things since you can buy those stones provided you have the bell bearings. There's obviously a slight damage loss but it probably won't be that noticable
I got elden ring relatively late and have made my way past NG+6 just in time for the dlc to play it at NG+7. I stopped leveling at 300 since it gives a nice even spread of 60/39/50/54/80/80 (vig/mind/endur/str/dex/int i have on the the navy hood to get mind to 40). Basically my build going into dlc will be a cold nagakiba (piercing fang) with sorcery.
Im going for a 150 strength faith build with a variety of weapons, i started the playthrough about 3 weeks ago and played it like i would play a 1st playthrough. Having a lot of fun with this, and i will finish right before the dlc releases, which im pretty happy about it.
I’ve done a full run of everything before Farum Azula, found as much as I could, defeated every major boss, and ended up at around 141 with no rune grinding. I’m using the St Trina’s Sword and it’s very fun!
I beat bloodborne, lies of p, sekiro, dark souls 1, dark souls 2, and dark souls 3 plus all of their dlcs. I'm ready to start the dlc, but I am personally going to start from the beginning.
My DLC character is ready and waiting at RL 154 - mostly strength/dex and specializing in the Hookclaws. He's basically the Elden Ring version of Wolverine. :D
I'll be doing DLC invasions with a similar build to yours. I wanted to use my level 60 +13 build but I may not get many Invasions with that build since you have to beat Mohg. I forgot about that. You've been doing the same yell for 8 years I love that.
What I like about rl200 is that builds are only marginally stronger, there, but you gain a ton of convenience and qol. Being able to put points into Mind without crippling your damage and spell access, or being one hit from death at all times feels really nice - especially for builds that want some actual spell casting in their repertoire.
At level 200 you run your normal level 125 build, but with max poise bullgoat armor + high mind to spam your spells + whatever spells that you didn't have at 125 (probably some high level buffs). Everyone should be running these at that level, there is no excuse.
I prefer RL138 most. But granted, my main way to play is to be summoned, and I like to hit lower levels in order to help people who are still playing the game the first time. 138 gets me into as low as 110 and as high as 150, which covers the range people usually play the game at on their first playthrough.
125 in ng+, debating on whether to go to 150. Just because I like quality so I can try new cool weapons, and that’d let me get a couple lower stats up.
I’m going in at RL200, dragon communion build - using the faith-arcane seal, with a 50/30 split (this lets me use heals and other faith spells efficiently, as quite a few only scale off faith and ignore the incant scale). I may alter the balance if I find some gear I like. This build was int-fai before, and I may swap back if I like some of the new weapons and spells they apparently have for this stat split there!
Today's the day! The pre-emptive balance patch came out this morning, and I'm happy to say they buffed my Flamberge Storm Blade build I'm taking into the dlc by making quality based AoW's scale better with Quality infusion! Quick respec into a quality build and can confirm a decent damage increase, can't wait to take it into the Lands of Shadow! Just a few more hours...
I’ve saved one character slot to go direct to the DLC for the exact same reason. I’ll probably kill Radahn, Mogh and go through Leyndell as far as the Godfrey Shade for Three talisman slots and cap it at Lvl 90. I just dunno if there will be much activity at that range. I guess the problems I foresee with taking the direct approach is how much ground needs to be covered regardless to pick up all the talisman slots and bell bearings, as well as the fact that there might not be much activity in the DLC at those lower levels. As a counterpoint, I daresay most three man co-op is gonna be focused on the DLC for the time being, and that we may simply be overthinking how the wex dust will work. It’ll probably throw up 90% DLC areas. Think I’m gonna roll the dice and take the quality build in first for exploration and Cap that at 200, then the Arcane build to farm mobs for weapons and armour, and then I should have found enough to efficiently route the Int, Faith and Hybrids to get the gear they need for PVP. Two days! - Catch ya next time!
I'm going in 150, switched to Str/Arcane not because it's stronger, but because I think the extra item discovery will be good to pick up items on the way through the DLC.
I’m probably headed into the DLC with my favorite lvl 150 primarily strength Regular Knight build. I want to be able to flex into new weapons easily and I feel like he’ll have a good stat spread for it.
they just announced an update on the 20, we'll be able to check/uncheck spawn pools on the map so yes we'll be able to invade only dlc areas by disabling overworld pools
Hey Chase your build videos are always inspiring. For the armor sets I recommend you try Briar gauntlets. The damage it costs it negligible but sometimes it may stagger certain pve enemies when dodging. It can even knock them off a jump attack. I don't know if this applies to PVP as well but you could try that.
I got all my characters at the grace in Mohg’s boss room ready and waiting! Probably start with the 150 str build. Might respec tho, kinda like what you did putting some stats in int & faith. Very versatile
Personally going up to 154! Watching the videos on the weapons made me realise my strength build wants a little int and faith for some of those weapons too, but I'd started as a Hero on my prep run. I'm hoping we'll get some 11 requirement arcane weapons to justify my ungabunga mistake
Bearer of the torch Seek runes. Larger, more powerful runes. Seek the queen, that is the only way. Lest the wizards swallow you whole... As it has so many others.
I'm feeling that holy damage is going to be extra powerful due to the fact the if the shadow of the erdtree is the inverse then everything should be weak to it rather than resistant so I've got a strength/faith melee/bow build at 150 I'm going in with. The erdtree bow with golden arrows, decent faith and the arrow talisman is arguably more fp efficient than any of the spell choices and the inseperable sword or banished knights greatsword + piercing fang + sacred infusion are devasting powerhouses.
I have one character at lvl 150 with dex, arcana, minimal faith and int with 50 Vit. And I have my fist weapon only playthrough at lvl 100 with access to the dlc... So imma try both 😝 eventually I wanna try to access the dlc as low level as possible. I'm so stoked
Definitely going into it with 125 myself, I’m curious to see how the difficulty scaling items are going to work number wise, I have doubts they might be a little strong, and I definitely want a challenge personally.
You can also just not use them/use very few to set your own challenge level. This is a great system for the DLC since even overleveled players can be challenged even on NG.
@@anitaremenarova6662 I'm gonna use them on my first run to see how the dlc was intended to be run. Challenge runs come after. First round is to enjoy the ride and take my time.
Bow dex build around 150RL. I have arcane bleed build and a pure mage also, but the bow dex would be cool, cause of the twin swords, perfume bottles, unarmed, etc. cause most of them might be dex based. My build is a bit of a gadget build, using items and bows for damage and afflications, so it's right up there in that alley.
I really hope FromSoft does another balance patch to improve some of the weaker AoW. Or even add more infusion trees for the magic damage infusions. Like Fire could get Swift Flame for dex builds and Lightning could get Heavy Lightning for strength builds.
I’m def going in with my ranni simp build, lvl150, 80int/40dex, with a few weapons to cycle through with my staves, marriage greatsword, wing of astel, a frost cross-naginata, etc
I'm going in with my 200 wretch. Feels like it will be the best starter class stats to test the many various new weapons, ashes, and armor 🎉 can't wait!
I'm going in at 125 as a pure strength build and then probably leveling into faith and int as needed to try as much of the new stuff as possible. I was considering going in as a 150 str/fai/int build myself, but decided that since I don't know the stat requirements for the new weapons (I decided to avoid any spoilers) I should keep some levels on hand to meet them as I go rather than making a full build before I go in and having to level past 150 or miss out
I'm doing 150, 175 is the in-between for co-op and I think 167 is that for invasions. I have done 200 in the past but it's noticably longer to be summoned than ranges that include 150
Speaking of which I originally planned on doing 40 dex for the cast speed but due to my weapon variety now I find myself using Lightning weapons more often than not
Personally, I'll be going in on my pure str build, but at rl139. I love the weapons I get to use effectively on it, especially Serpent Hunter for pve, and the few extra levels until I hit 150 give me variety if I need to build into it, should I find a weapon I really like
Going in with strength faith as well, right at 137. Having access to the high level healing incantations gives you so much sustain in PvE, and then Flaming Strike Halberd go brrrr in PvP
I think I'll use my STR build at lvl 138, 54 str, 16 int and 12 fth, probably will switch up with some different talismans if I need a particular fth requirement to try some weapons :) I don't think I'll level up the character though, unless the meta kinda switches up everything at lvl 150
i have two characters. one a mid game 170 strength faith, and another NG+ 300+ level faith/int with stats high enough to equip anything and everything. will try the NG+ first and see if i can find anything before the first road block that would be fun to use in base game for the 170 to run towards.
I'll be doing the dlc at 150 with a Int/Fth SoNaF caster build to play with as many spells as possible. I'll level up from there to accommodate new spells and weapons as needed. No higher than Lv200 by the end of the dlc.
My second character I'm going to start the DLC with will probably sit around lvl. 120-130. I just hit 110 last night after beating Mohg. Then I'll try the DLC with my lvl. 270 character in NG+4, haha.
I have a large swarth of things from level 50-100, an int/dex, str/dex, vig/stam, faith/str and arc/faith.. Pretty much ready to do everything even miquilla will leave mogh for me... very tempted to make a no maiden one to see if there is a difference.
I'll be starting at a minimum of 160. Probably 161 because I left Mohg alive just for the DLC for a more "earned" way to start it on the day I play it. I'm the type of player who likes to see everything I can in Elden Ring, so I naturally end up levelling a lot and may end up overlevelled in some areas. But I feel the difficulty is just right for me, I also like to use Summons and Spirit Ashes, so it could be easier, but I try to hold restraint with the Ashes until after my 3rd fail, but immediately use them if it's a gank fight or one of those open areas that let you use one, but I digress. I hear the DLC is really brutal, and according to Iron Pineapple, 150 seems to be a fair minimum level for the DLC, so I feel 160 is about the same.
I think I’ll go in at the 135 range, got a strength build at 135 and dex build at 139 prepped up for the dlc, 150 is a bit high imo since i do play on pc.
14:40 We probably could just invade the DLC area, saw some threads mentioning some QOL that lets players to pick and choose which area to co-op, maybe there's something similar for invading.
I was thinking about a SL125 BUILD (Vagabond) Vigor - 60 Mind - 10 Endurance - 30 Strength - 50 Dexterity - 18 Intelligence - 9 Faith - 20 Arcane - 7 or maybe get Dex on 13 and Faith on 25
Chase you are my favourite content creator for Elden ring have you ever had the thought of streaming sometime would be fun to watch some live invasions or play throughs
Going in as 130. Strength build but more niche weapons. Long sword with stand off and shield for fast counters. And a heavy spear with with spectral lance
I think I want to use my first character at level 225, a quality intelligence build. Would give me the option to use a lot of the new weapons and spells.
PvP wise I think 150-200 is nice. Though for the DLC after I beat it I think I might make a PvE character that can use majority of items in the game, aim for somewhere around the 300 mark I guess. Mainly focusing on Faith items still so like a Quality Faith build with some Intelligence for Golden Order stuff. My first DLC character is my 150 Faith build so I'm not going to level that one up any more. I think a lot of us will adjust our builds anyway to accommodate new items, armour and such. It's too early to say any one build is what we will have by the end of the DLC.
My DLC character is at 145 now, i will level up to 150 tonight and that should do it. Going in rockin straight swords dual/shield, something i never did during the base game.
Going in with two characters, my mage whos 130, and the warrior who's 135, probably for both my goal is 150, got two more characters but there not ready yet, I've been holding off on actually finishing the game intill after the dlc as a bowtie.
Me personally, I think I'm going in at 170, and I'm just not gonna cap myself I'm definitely more based toward pve personally, but ill leave taunters tongue on ;)
I'm going to go in at 150. I'm not decided if I'm going to level or not, but I probably will. The playtesters were getting chunked pretty hard at 150, and so I suspect the majority of the playerbase will end the dlc around 175-200, so the meta level will get pushed up. Instead of 125, 138, and 150, we'll probably see 150, 166, and 200.
Needs more of my torch
Chase should totally use your torch.
I hope that someday he will use your torch.

@Myron90 or just his intro. I can tap out his syllables when he's describing his build no matter the video, or if I've even seen it yet 🤣

I am trying so hard to stay away from spoilers as I want that 1st time experience again ! Let’s goooo!
“they caught me off guard” Chase said, as he casually spawns in and instantly backsstabs the host. Freaking legend.
What? RL200 is not a build anymore you have enough points to put into everything.
I feel like Chase is the typa guy that drops a remembrance if you kill him in game
You get the super rare Hardswap speed +2 talisman or Hornet Ring +2 when you cash it in.
@@kiltysalter2966 or a talisman that makes backstabs as consistent as ds3 xD
Love this channel and love this game Im gonna be going in at 200 with a strength/faith build using malkieths black blade cause it’s so fun man🤤🤤🤤
I prefer RL138 most. But granted, my main way to play is to be summoned, and I like to hit lower levels in order to help people who are still playing the game the first time. 138 gets me into as low as 110 and as high as 150, which covers the range people usually play the game at on their first playthrough.
I’m going at lvl 167 because at that level with a +25 weapon you can hit level 150 all the way to 200 players
Level 160~ great spot.
Chase you need to make more use of the wizard away 9000 with the strength/faith build 🤘
125 in ng+, debating on whether to go to 150. Just because I like quality so I can try new cool weapons, and that’d let me get a couple lower stats up.
The torch calls to you Chase. It beckons in your dreams
I'm going at 125. Its my preferred pvp level range but I do expect to level up as I go through.
same, I want to go into the DLC feeling slightly underpowered, not stomping with an optimized 150 build off the bat
I love this the game is probably gonna more active at 150 now.
150, 50 STR, 50 DEX, 60 VIG, loads of Smithing Stones. Should be able to use most of the stuff I'd like to use quite well, and I'm very excited
The 2 spins at the beginning of the video are iconic
I was gonna start a brand new run and go into the dlc naturally when i come across it.
they just announced an update on the 20, we'll be able to check/uncheck spawn pools on the map so yes we'll be able to invade only dlc areas by disabling overworld pools
I think that's for the summoning effigy. Might not affect where you invade.
I hope the dlc has a new torch, like madness or poison, so we can ask Shase to do another showcase with Saint Trina's torch.
Bearer of the torch
Seek runes.
@@anitaremenarova6662
I'm gonna use them on my first run to see how the dlc was intended to be run.
Let's be honest chase you're changing the weapons your gonna use almost instantly
It would be interesting to see a Min Area run if what you said about invading the areas ends up being true
Going in at level 160 on an arcane build, focusing on weapons with a lot of variety. Main weapons being a pair of great stars.
I think I'll use my STR build at lvl 138, 54 str, 16 int and 12 fth, probably will switch up with some different talismans if I need a particular fth requirement to try some weapons :)
I don't think I'll level up the character though, unless the meta kinda switches up everything at lvl 150
Better have some DEX investment as well, there's a sick infusable colossal sword that needs 18.
@@anitaremenarova6662 I have 18 dex on that build if I can recall correctly :)
I recently made a level 200 quality build. I also have a level 340 so I can use every weapon too. Both should be fun for dlc
i have two characters. one a mid game 170 strength faith, and another NG+ 300+ level faith/int with stats high enough to equip anything and everything. will try the NG+ first and see if i can find anything before the first road block that would be fun to use in base game for the 170 to run towards.
I hear the DLC is really brutal, and according to Iron Pineapple, 150 seems to be a fair minimum level for the DLC, so I feel 160 is about the same.
i plan on going into dlc as a madman as rl1
I think I’ll go in at the 135 range, got a strength build at 135 and dex build at 139 prepped up for the dlc, 150 is a bit high imo since i do play on pc.
14:40 We probably could just invade the DLC area, saw some threads mentioning some QOL that lets players to pick and choose which area to co-op, maybe there's something similar for invading.
there was a tweet saying the new update will let you choose summon pools to be summoned so maybe we'll be able to choose areas to invade as well
I was thinking about a SL125 BUILD (Vagabond)
Vigor - 60
Mind - 10
Endurance - 30
Strength - 50
Dexterity - 18
Intelligence - 9
Faith - 20
Arcane - 7
or maybe get Dex on 13 and Faith on 25
Chase you are my favourite content creator for Elden ring have you ever had the thought of streaming sometime would be fun to watch some live invasions or play throughs
They said there's a new feature that you can turn off summon pools for ones you don't want anymore. Hopefully that works for invasions too.
Me personally, I think I'm going in at 170, and I'm just not gonna cap myself
I'm definitely more based toward pve personally, but ill leave taunters tongue on ;)
POV: You’re playing the DLC early as a reviewer and Chase the Bro invades you
I'm going to go in at 150.
10:06 You reminded me to put radahn’s sword in my build tysm ❤ (and the mogh fork in my arcane build)
I’m going in with a spell blade build. I was going to go in at RL125, but may go up to 150 based off your reasoning
We got Elden ring DLC before Chase did St Trina’s torch build
Theese invasions are so sick !!!
