It just never ceases to amaze me, your skill is impressive.. I sometimes wish that I was younger so I can learn all of this.. I have and am trying but at 73 I am one of those individuals that has a problem with his memory and it is a real struggle to learn.. though I am not giving up, I know I will never have your type of skills.. So I watch learn a bit and have one heck of a time. Thanks Sorin for sharing your compation and love of electronics with us.. I am forever grateful
Respect to you for you efforts. Just keep up an do the best you can do. Think of it, even if you can do one thing you may have done one thing more then millions of other people have done compared to you.
Absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. Hell, for me, I'm in my late twenties and been trying to code for well over a decade. I'll never be good at it, just not got the head for it, but I still like doing it. Which is the most important part of any passion!
@@kansax8253 So true brother.. if you like something and are having fun.. nothing else matters you just keep at it.. it is rather fun.. I just have a hard time retaining the proper sequence of commands to the point of distraction.. it should be so easy.. but alas.. I still play with it in the winter time when it is to cold to go out to the shop.. Good luck my friend you will get it..
Your skill is byond byond. Probably 9999 of the 10.000 fixers gave up after the first or second try. And your voice is so relaxing. If I can't get sleep, I also play your vids :) .
Sorin, You are correct. I have an Apple MacBook Pro with touch bar and you do need to first log in with password when starting up, then the touch bar will work after.
Great work. I love your detective skills on these harder jobs. It never ceases to amaze me how many people just tell lies. The customer must have known about the water damage. As you showed from the screws, someone had been messing inside. Either the customer did all that, maybe trying to fix the liquid damage, or else it went to someone else who went into it. Either way, why do so many people lie and just say "Oh, it just broke and I didn't do anything." ?!
So what I am really learning is laptops really don't like liquids spilled into them. Also learning that probably a good idea to get good at liquid damage repair. It seems to happen a lot.
Hi Lewis It was great, thank you The caramel wafer that you showed first is made in Iran and its name is colorful! I am from Tehran, Iran and I always learn from you Thank you teacher 🙏
small problem, mistake . 820-01700 related to MacBook Pro A2141 (from 2019) and not A1707 (2016). A1707 does not have angle sensor, it only has a regular like in most PC laptops.
I needed a laptop repair shop to trouble shoot some perimeter lighting and no one troubleshoots to the component.. They just throw parts at it.. Sad.. I need to get back into it went to school .. Two year degree in computer science in the 90s..
Can open circuit like broken traces cause a laptop not to turn, but I absolutely believe the short causes laptop to turn off, here are broken circuit not short circuit
these repairs prices can quickly skyrocket into multiple hundreds of dollars. The laptop could be used, or gifted as a present for uni. So it s quite reasonable situation.

Sorin, your skill with a soldering iron is surpassed only by your skill at resolving the problem. All hail Sorin the Rosin master ;)
Excellent work, diagnosis and soldering etc, Craftmanship A1*, Thanks again Sorin!
Finally saw an Iranian wafer in Sorin’s repair video! Nice!
Sorin, You are correct. I have an Apple MacBook Pro with touch bar and you do need to first log in with password when starting up, then the touch bar will work after.
A marvelous microsurgery. My eyes bled watching this operation. Thanks Sorin for this awesome work!

The candy is Persian. As I am an Iranian, I do know that. Anyway, Sorin Special respect to you and your art from Iran.
For decades we have used the ultra reliable method of magnets and hall effect sensors for laptop lids. Along comes Apple and...
and someone spills liquid on it....
I want to say thank you Soren. I learned from you and started fixing my things.
So what I am really learning is laptops really don't like liquids spilled into them. Also learning that probably a good idea to get good at liquid damage repair. It seems to happen a lot.
I think they should just coat them from factory so they can't get damaged by liquid, some sort of paint or oil
Hi Lewis
It was great, thank you

Hello🤝Good job 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏👋👋👋👋
I think this is the A1990 2019 MBP which has a dedicated ESC & Touch iD button.

As there is liquid damage on the motherboard, is it not worth quickly cleaning any residue away with IPA before powering it on etc?
Can open circuit like broken traces cause a laptop not to turn, but I absolutely believe the short causes laptop to turn off, here are broken circuit not short circuit
how does the diode mode work to find the correct track for the pins?
this is the a 2019 16 inch which has a dedicated ESC button.
What is an angle chip doing and we need it at all?
is it possible to have bad mosfit of something without any sign of damage?
I gave you applause at 40 ohms on the chip
proper calibrated wire!
Im wondering what is the usb c voltmeter are you using sir

Hello i have lenovo yoga 260 , when with battery it says 255% charged but when plugged out it goes off , what could be the issue , kindly advice
Sorin, do you remember, what was the temperature of hot air at 29:20?
Bravo 👏
Hi Sorin! Can we see a an apprentice soon? After all every magition have an apprentice, right :)
Clarify why the sensor was causing the device not to turn on,what was the reason behind
My a1707 doesn't have that ESC button?
thats not A1707

How is a student buying the most expensive laptop and yet saying he has no $s, ie, don't buy Apple if you are poor.
these repairs prices can quickly skyrocket into multiple hundreds of dollars. The laptop could be used, or gifted as a present for uni. So it s quite reasonable situation.
