Just be warned that it will instantly destroy and discolor plastics like ABS, Polycarbonate or plexiglass. It's usually safe on thermoplastics and resins used on circuit board components. I use it to clean off capacitor residue from leaked capacitors, which it does way better than isopropyl alcohol. If you need to clean connectors, Deoxit Gold G5 or CRC 2-26. Great job. Please disregard all of the snarky and unrespectful comments. You do great work and this was an entertaining video. Who cares if the computer is a little bit old...the point was obviously never to 'save a computer' but to show how it could be done and to show the skills it takes to make an trashed out computer look and run brand new again. Again, GREAT work!
"...A* trashed out computer...." You only use "an" before words that start with a vowel sound. A "T" creates a consonant sound, so you'd use the article "a" before it. I think most people here are simply describing observations. Basic comments that don't outright praise someone aren't always negative. I haven't seen very many comments at all that are truly being "snarky" or unproductive.
Great video, but I suggest loosening the hinges just a bit. The screen seems to be flexing a lot when opened at the end, so the strain might break the plastic casing in the future.
I restore/build computers for a living and I can say that this was an IMMACULATE job. You certainly deserve the 1M. Ps.: As constructive criticism, the mention of the 1M mark over and over and over kind of took away from the video because after a few times it starts to get a bit off putting…
"Thank you so much for the kind words and for recognizing the effort I put into this restoration! Coming from someone with your experience, that means a lot. I really appreciate the feedback about the 1M mentions-I'll definitely keep that in mind for future videos. It's all about finding the right balance, and your input helps me improve. Really impressive. I thought I knew about notebooks and laptops and now you just took it to another level. I really hope you can reach a million subs. I don't know what to say, but I think your work with this device is great, and I think you are a great person. If this is the result of your work, please continue.
The level of dust in this laptop isn't fake. I've done computer repair for over 25 years, and laptops do get this bad when neglected. If it was used by a mechanic, that makes it even worse. I have a mechanic buddy that I do IT support for, and his systems regularly get this bad from being in a dusty garage exposed to the elements. College student laptops are the next worst, being shoved in all sorts of bags while running, thrown about everywhere. They get pretty broken real quick.
This was really fun to watch. I love restorations of any type. This turned out amazing! I do feel the "like and subscribe" was really pushy, though. Plugging it several times every video, especially three or four times in the first 15 minutes.... It feels uncomfortable.

Amazing work. I'm just wondering about one thing. Is it worth for the guy who ordered restoration? I mean, you probably spend a lot of time to restore this thing, so i guess whole restoration cost a lot. Wouldn't it be better to buy a new laptop?
Thank you so much my friend. I'm so glad you liked it. I agree with you. This job was so heavy and it took a lot of time. But generally, the worth issue, relates to many other factors and money is just one of them. based on where you live, it may have benefits for you and sometimes it may not. Sometimes. you just want your device back to it's original condition.
Thank you for this insight and accuracy. First, this laptop does not need to connect the power button, because the power button does not have a cable that needs to be connected somewhere. Actually, this button is soldered on the motherboard. I hope this ambiguity has been resolved for you by referring to the video again. Otherwise, you can contact me through the email listed in the About section of the channel, so that I can answer your questions in more detail. Regarding not connecting the flat keyboard cable, you probably did not watch the whole video. The fact that the part related to connecting the flat keyboard cable to the motherboard is not available in the video, does not mean that the keyboard is not connected to the laptop! right? Just because I didn't want it to be a repeated shot in the video, I stopped recording this part. In the part where I close the door on the part related to the flat keyboard cable, the C frame is not yet connected to the laptop. But after connecting the C frame to which the keyboard is connected, I opened the cover on the back of the laptop again and connected the keyboard flat cable to the motherboard. I hope this explanation has guided you and you will enjoy this video and future videos.♥♥
