When you pay someone's mortgage, you give a feeling of security that is unmatched
That's the one that made the most sense to me. It was a gift that removed a massive burden, while not just being a simple cash donation to potentially be mismanaged.
Recap Now forgot to mention the other donation for Angel at Modell’s Sports Goods. He gave her a check of 250.000 dollars for a new Home so her and her children no longer would be homeless. That is the biggest donation I have ever seen on Undercover Boss

Yes, Mr. Modell gave her a check for a house and set her up for a meeting with his financial advisor. He said he never wanted her going back to the shelter with her kids. Super kind and generous guy.
That bit was such bullshit. She was homeless after she got too pregnant to work from her first kids pregnancy, then had another one as soon as she could, and a third after that while living at a shelter. Bitch, if you cant afford to take care of your first kid, close your damn legs. Quit squirting them out.

I love hearing about the kindness of the company CEO's. On July fourth of 2020 someone broke into my home and set fire to it. The company I work for has over 8 billion dollars worldwide. They never had any sympathy or showed any kindness. Soon I will be homeless because I can't afford the rent. We already have 7 people I work with living in their vehicles in the parking lot. I would be so excited and happy for some undercover boss to show up here at Hickory Hills in Feasterville and just give me only 5 thousand to get me just a little bit ahead.

@@cynthiawagner2415 have you or any of the people living their cars tried setting up a go fund me? i mean people give money for crazy things i'm sure they'd give to someone whose house burned down and was about to be homeless. I hope that crappy place to work has a good retirement plan after 32 years you should be able to retire and then also get a better paying job maybe in another town since you are renting you can just move.
@@supposedly1-2Sorry I didn't reply to you earlier. I still have about 20 years to retire. I had a brother who passed away in 2019. I had a go fund me set up for him to raise money to pay for his funeral service. There wasn't much raised. I had to borrow from my 401k. His ex wife and the 3 children he left behind were not very helpful either. They know more about social media than I do.
Are we talking about the apartment community? That many homeless people working at an apartment community? That is RIDICULOUS!
You all need to contact your local news about the employees living in their cars. That's disgraceful that the employer doesn't seem to care
The one that got me teary was the woman that was homeless with 3 kids, I've been in her shoes. The only difference is I didn't get help from my boss.
Would have been better is they got her and her family a secure home for a year.

Everything was a surprise to me. They are all good warm hearted CEO. Who runs their business. And I love those wonderful employees who are loyal and trustworthy to their perspective job. Congratulations to all of them. N I wish I had one of those kind hearted people.
I’m more floored at the fact these bosses aren’t aware of the pay rates they give their employees. It’s not enough to cover their basic expenses. It also shows how these people can end the suffering of others in a snap and often choose to look the other way, until cameras are rolling.

bussiness does not work that way, better education = better pay , cant pay unskilled people higher than those who graduated, not how society works
@@najeebshah. nonsence, having a degree dose not make you a skilled person,there are many manual jobs that require far more training then any degree can offer and it is reflectd in the financial reward for the profession,by your logic no grduate can work for low wage, your a blindsided dolt

@@najeebshah. you may be right as a generalrule education cab afford higher salery, one example will shoot you down though, my brother is a majour player for bp working in london,he has never been to university, to tha effect you are quite wrong that a university education is the route to financial sucess, formal sducation is not the only route,my guess is you are not very vlever yourself and probably quite young

The problem is...there is not just the one employee at these businesses that are exceptional...and only one is awarded. These experiences on the most part do not change store policy treatment for the rest so basically this show is a big advertisement to show us consumers how big of heart the CEOs have so we will become dedicated consumers.
i dont know how many places you have worked at but there is always 1 person going above and beyond keeping everything running smoothly

This was my least favorite " reward" actually. I mean, a promotion should automatically include a raise, so the 14,000 bucks isn't a gift, just her extra salary for a higher title?
@@darcistephenson5359 nah it's worth. 14k is a lot for a mom who can't even make ends meet. That's formula for the infant, clothes and food for the kids. Even for the parents. Their clothes probably reflected their housing situation as well. And it's so much more, she probably believed she worked a dead end job with no promotions or anything. And she's no longer homeless ~ in USA things also work differently getting a promotion is just wage raise. You don't get a signing bonus for a new position. But the boss still gave it to her regardless.
Homeless, more children, where's the dad's? Why is she getting pregnant.....shelters, ?
@@darcistephenson5359 one thing that wasn’t mentioned was that the CEO also provided her $250,000 for her to purchase a home for her kids. He really went out of his way to make sure Angel and her kids were taken care of and she was able to provide for them.
@@francesfehrman741 I mean yeah obviously she could’ve made better past choices, no question. However, it’s clear shes learned from those mistakes and is doing everything she can to provide for her kids. As shown, she’s a hard worker, has a positive mindset, and is trying to better herself so she can improve her family’s situation.
To me that’s very admirable and responsible of her. We all make mistakes, some worse than others, but the measure of a person is how they respond and grow from those missteps. Clearly the CEO also felt that she was on the right path too, which is why he chose to invest in her and help her grow further.
Angel is amazing. What a great mom. Sad to think how many people are living every day in situations like this. Really makes you take a look at the blessings that you have. I hope she and her children are doing well. And love Mr Modell, seriously.
She created her situation by continually getting knocked up and having kids when she can't afford them!

I love undercover boss. I see much that others get, yet I am looking for my own miracles that God does. Do to I work for God and live for him. Thanks for showing me some big hope for some breakthtoughs.
It's the kind act that will break someone down quicker and easier than the kicking. You get used to being kicked, but kindness, that doesn't happen very often in the real world.

I think that this is so fantastic is because it shows that there are some really, really good, conscientious employees out there, and management that can recognize them and reward them!
Watching this video reminds of when I was in the shelter system and when my worker found out about my VETERAN STATUS they got me out ASAP because when she saw my VA card she said tome not everyone has served the UNITED STATES ARMY and I haven't loostatus

It's heartwarming to see these things happen and it's meant to be, it's a large part of the appeal of the programme.
The thing that occurs to me is: obviously the employees are cherry picked for the benefit of the show. In large companies there must be a fair number of employees that have similar situations, does the company policy change to help them too?
Also, many of these situations that turn up are indications of the failure of employment law and the medical system to support ordinary people.
I'm not trying to take away from what I'm sure is a genuine intention on behalf of the bosses to help, I'm just bemoaning the idea that this help is needed at all. It seems to indicate to me how broken the system is.
My heart for this young girl I can't even imagine doing that to my child 💔 I hope someday your parents realise life is more important that neighbours and friends

It's like going to bet at a casino and someone always knows the results after you place your bet and tells you then when it's too late...then you see he's right. Same with having a Narrator tell us exactly what they are about to say and they say it.

I'm just wondering after many years of this show being on if people figure out its an undercover boss. It's great if this really happens and not a setup. Alot of shows are setup to entice the viewer to watch.
personally, I do feel like the workers figure out that they are on the show. it is very questionable
It’s all setup, the sad story leading up to a reward gets the ratings, just like the drama does on the bad employees.
