I'd do the same if I saw anyone in a higher position belittling a new employee in front of the other employees and customers. I wouldn't be able to hold myself back.
I still have to go back to whoever gave her that Management position in the first place had to not have been around much to know what her personality was like.
      They overlooked her management skills.
The problem's with who is hiring these jokers as a manager.

They need to have more bosses do this. There are so many places were middle management are on power trips and make the work place a living hell. I've worked for some bad managers in the past and every time there is an "inspection" they change their tune acting all proper in front of the higher ups. No one says anything to them cause it's a case of their word vs yours and the Boss is more likely to trust the manager's claim than an employee they don't know as well. Plus the manager can down play it when the employee walks away with claims that the person is a "problem" employee and retaliate against that employee once the boss leaves. Things like changing when they have to work, more or less hours, and even termination. Often they frame it as oh we need you for these hours if you can't work them we just need to get someone who can.

Here's the one thing that gets me, especially with the wings and rings people. The one franchise owner works side by side with that manager and probably has for quite a long time. She knew how terrible he was and even talk to this quote new employee about him. It shouldn't have taken the CEO of the company to see how this manager acted for him to be fired. The franchise owners are just as guilty here. They should have dealt with him a long time ago

I don't understand how the CEO of Hooters stood there and did nothing. If that was me.. as soon as one of those women started eating the beans and it'd definitely not be a joke or whatever and now I knew for sure.. I'd stop it. Send them home, fully paid their shifts, closed the doors for that day and fired that manager. I'd even look into legal actions.. I'd apologize to these women in person and give them a number they could call if anything like this ever happened again. Maybe even open a kind of hotline for employees so they can call in corporate at situations like these.

Imagine being the founder of Hooters and then being utterly shocked that women were being degraded like this on the job. That's a level of cognitive dissonance that's impressive.

What a stupid thing to say. You expect this from customers who can be dealt with by a bouncer or security guard. This must NOT happen from a manager, it is the managers job to help run the business, not degrade them like he was doing. And by the way...this can happen in any place of employment. It is not "more OK" to do this to your employees just because the business is Hooters.

On the Hooters fiasco, and those that say they would ruin the show for breaking cover. I have seen many episodes where they break cover, but the rest of the locations are ignorant to the Undercover Boss scenario.
I also get the "Need to gather more evidence" aspect but that was enough to fire him on the spot and to empower the employees that not only is there accountability, but people actually care about them. For every Hooters waitress, there two to replace them...For every Hooters Manager there are DOZENS that will gladly and RESPECTFULLY step in his place. Many one of the senior Hooters girls? They lived it, so they are best to recognize the bull crap and therefore, prevent it.

Some of the problems came from inadequate training of the managerial staff.
When a manager does not know the basic premise of the business, that is a training issue.
Managers should also not have to figure out how to do their job.
If they think managing means bossing and bullying, that is what they will do.
Unfortunately, few people have good role models in their life to know how to approach being a manager.
Mossedegh did NOT have a training program for his managers and owners -- that is OBVIOUS.
HE is partly to blame for the bad management employees.
