    Wow, the last "boss"... The guy is doing everything he can and asking the customer what they want, not being pushy and not limiting their options. Big ole tough guy CEO wants him to be more pushy and limit what the customer knows and with less options. This guy thinks it's good business to not let the customers have too much of a choice? Nah, just seeing that one makes me cringe and say no to his business.

    • @JonathanTheZombie
      @JonathanTheZombie 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      It would be better if the salesman suggested things to help the customer. Otherwise what’s the point of a consultation?

    • @kaorikazehana
      @kaorikazehana 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      So from a Sales standpoint, the CEO is kind of right. I'm just going off the clip here but bear with me here. The first thing I notice is that when he greets them with "So we're going to be looking at some window coverings?" It's not the worst greeting in of itself, it's not the best. The customer knows why he's there and this type of greeting can be a little redundant and awkward. In this situation, a typical "hello, how are you doing?" engaging the customer in a little bit of small talk, not a lot but enough to be polite. Then his best would be a transition statement to get them thinking, it can be simple, could be even a variation of his initial greeting that I didn't like as much. It's about timing at that point. Then go with something like " I notice you have a lot of a color, type of color, architecture, design choice, etc. Is this something you would, like to continue with, accent, blend in with, compliment, etc.
      This little greeting process does a few things, one, it starts you off on a good foot by building rapport, and two by bringing up certain things, you come off as sharp, observant, and like you know what you are doing/ talking about; Finally it allows you to start gaining insight on there likes, dislikes, potential pain points(something that NEEDS to be fixed/remedied). From there you can drill down, be like "cool, do you like more modern styles or traditional etc." This gives you the opportunity to then put options in front of them that match/align with what was said in your previous conversation.
      The idea is not to take away options, but to set aside what likely won't fit and put in front of them what you know they might like. I think the issue is that the "boss" was throwing options out and hoping something would stick. That's not good customer service, not respectful of your customer's time, and honestly it's overwhelming and may not lead you to close the sale. It also makes you sound a bit like an amateur who doesn't know what they are doing. If the customer just wanted a catalog they could do that online or at a Lowe's/Home Depot-type store. When you're in that type of position you're a consultant, so you should be consulting and helping guide your customer through the options. The CEO saw all this and knows this is a simple training issue and can be fixed. I don't think the narrator really did the "boss" justice for the sake of dramatization.

    Every time I hear about people under pressure of medical bills I give thanks for our national health service being free at point of care to all. Is this a 1st World Country? We have a man put in power that has dementia in the WH and he vilifies half the Country that didn't Vote for him and they go after their PoIitical Opponents by iIIegaIIy arresting them. Now the former President is being arrested just for not being part of their cuIt. They wanted to do this with Bush and Reagan too. These people are sick in the head. Meanwhile Horse Face broke real laws with black mail and there's real criminaIs in NYC that this DA refuses to go after. USA is more like a 3rd World Country. Law abiding citizens are iIIegaIIy arrested and the real criminaIs are let right back onto the street to harm us.
