I was a child actor in the 80s and 90s and this movie was pure magic. I met a lot of these actors at different award shows, auditions, and gatherings. I have some photos of me and Feldman with me in a tux and he’s dressed like MJ wearing a white fingerless glove. He was in his teens still. Fun times! Cool you got to visit the location. Thanks for sharing!
Just hearing the music made me think of Richard Donner who just passed recently. I watched an documentary with the cast which was really good. R.i.p. Richard.
I've been down that road so many times as a kid, I used to play all over Cannon Beach and Astoria (same with Kindergarten Cop) I have fond memories of exploring those caves at the Beach with my sisters. The first few minutes took me back 30 years. I wish I could go back.
I'm actually stunned Micky's house is still there. I would've put money on it that all those houses would be gone by now for, idk, a golf course or something. xD

Years ago, I stayed at my Neices home for a few. They live in Cleveland, only a couple blocks away from the house on "A Christmas Story". I used to walk down occasionally and just sit on the porch and text on my phone. Always wanted to make it to the Goonies locations. So cool.

During one of the first grimmupallnight watch parties I asked about Oregon film locations and Michael immediately responded "Goonies". Cross this off the bucket list. Great video kids, thanks for dragging us along. Grimm for Life!
This was so cool. Goonies was one of my favorite movies. As an 80s kid I'm willing to bet I wasn't the only one who started digging holes in our backyard looking for underground tunnels.
I live in New York and have always wanted to visit the west coast because of how beautiful most of it is. This would give me a good reason to spend a little extra time in Oregon, and not to much seems to have changed since 1984/1985 either, which is even better. Awesome video, one of your best so far. 👍💀
Lifelong Oregonian here! Grew up on the coast, but live inland now. I love those foggy days🙂 Maybe you checked out the shots for The Ring 2 that were filmed there as well!?
As a child who grew up in the 70's and 80's , Goonies is the movie that defined the decade! Kids related to the movie as well as adults. It is a masterpiece.
what an awesome video for one of the greatest movies! Much like other 80's kids- we'd leave our houses on all day adventures like this. This movie just fueled that one of those adventures could be phenomenal!
Visiting these locations is on my bucket list! Along with E.T. locations! The Goonies movie posters have to be some of the coolest movie poster designs EVER created! Also, since we just lost him, RIP Richard Donner! The story of how he disliked kids and came to really enjoy the kid cast of this movie, is fascinating. Goonies is in my top 5 all time films. We kids in the 80’s had the last awesome generation of being kids and still having adventures and fun like they did in this movie. Things have totally changed and gone downhill since for kids.
Absolutely LOVED this! Thank you for taking us round the spots. We love how thorough you are with every aspect, from matching the views to all the facts. Thanks from the UK
I just stumbled upon your channel! I took this “dream trip” a few years ago. Didn’t get to visit all the places but I was super excited as I had wanted to do this for years. My husband made it happen for me and then we drove down the coast of Oregon to California to see the redwoods. He is sick now and we can’t travel like that anymore. Enjoy yourself while you have time. If you can, take that trip!
Awesome!! Who doesn’t love the Goonies!! My friend & old roommate’s uncle is Jake (played by Robert Davi). 👍🏻 What a great, fun movie! I was 14 when it came out. Ahhhh such memories. 🏴☠️☠️
Robert Davi was the voice of Sosa in the game Scarface: The world is yours and Jake also in pixelated form in the NES game The Goonies 2,great game for an unofficial sequel.
It was during the start of covid when I turned the corner walking past an Italian restaurant when I heard him singing the same opera he was singing in this movie. It was a complete ghost town but he was bravely eating his spaghetti on the patio with his girl, as I walked by pretending I didn't notice him as one of the Fitellis. Definitely surreal.
Hello, I've watched it last week with my eight year old daughter... What a lovely movie! It always takes me back to my childhood... It's one of my favourite movies ever! ❤ So thanks for the video! 👋
You guys are awesome! ..and just remember, every time you do these great adventures, you do them not only for regular people to enjoy, but the people that may be disabled, and house bound, or people that just might have financial issues, or family issues, to where they would never be able to visit these places! The fact that you do these so well, is also very cool! Great job guys! Keep up the good adventures and filming!

Haven't been back for over a decade. My mom even worked at the maritime museum. I also went to the bowling alley with my dad. Pretty cool seeing it again! Thanks!

Such a relaxing adventurous movie. Kind of oxymoron. But that's what I get from the movie. Always excited to watch over and over. Thank you for the walkthrough. You're the best! Hello from Guadalajara Mexico 🇲🇽
Dude, just wanted to thank you. I'm 39 years old and the Goonies, among other movies, were such a big part of my childhood. And to see these locations is awesome. I still find myself watching this movie even after all this time, showing it to my kids who also enjoy it.
Thank you for this journey down nostalgia Goonies lane! This is the best video I've seen showing the locations of the movie. Your dedication to exact specific locations is commendable and admirable! Legend! Much love from Australia.
Nice job you guys! As for the seaweed: It's commonly called the Bull whip kelp or Ribbon kelp. This seaweed is made up of a round, hollow bulb, from which ribbon like blades emerge from the top of the bulb. The air trapped in the bulb pulls the kelp up so that the blades float close to the surface and receive adequate sunlight.
What a great video, thanks for sharing this. It's as close as I'll ever get. Goonies is one of my all time greatest movies ever. The music the cast and the adventure. I always wanted to go on a treasure hunt just like the Goonies did.
definitely the best decade ever. best movies and music. last decade where we knew how to play and function as human children without wifi. what a great simpler time.
I was born early 90s all this technology is great but I wish sometimes we could just go back in time when life was simple because this world is going to shit .
For sure. ET, Gremlins, Goonies, Back to the Future, and Stand By Me were the first 5 movies I seen in a theater. Of course the arcade was right next door while waiting for the movie to start.
Not only did you visit one of my favorite movie's filming locations...but you make it fun and enjoyable. You're easy to listen and pay attention to. I have a couple of pieces of the porch wood from the Goonies house. They have signed certificates of authenticity from the homes owner.
And of course the actors and film crew that made this movie. I remember when it first came out in the movie theaters in the 80's and I went and watched this movie in a movie theater.
Hear me out please because I do not wish to take away from the magic but these houses, building, roads and rocks but it's absolutely fantastic how something special such as the Goonies can morph those items into something that is treasured and loved by so many people

OMG HOW COOL IS THAT , this is one of my favorite movies , Great scenes throught out the movie , your so lucky to have these memories, have a great day stay well be SAFE 🙏❤😎
That is SO awesome. Thanks for sharing!
My parents adopted her like 3 months before the movie was being filmed. We all live in LA now. Go figure.. lol
Dude that’s amazing shit. This is my all time favorites can’t wait for another. Bet there was some funny conversations when watching
Oh my goodness I have been quoting your sister since I was 8♥️
This guy does a great job with his films. The narratives are always informative and provide great insight into the makings of these classics. "Thou shalt not kill"
This was so nostalgic. I miss being a kid in astoria, such a fun place to grow up.
Wow, you grew up in Astoria?
@@ominous-omnipresent-they I did. I kinda took it for granted though. Wassnt until I moved away that I realized how awesome it was. Haha
@Robert Anthony didnt live with my daddy. Lol. Lived with my ma and her bf. Sandy was his name, he worked at Annie's among other places.
@Robert Anthony Arnold..lol
Wow! That’s amazing.
Nice!! Goonies is an all-time classic and it's really cool that the filming spots haven't changed all that much.
I was born and raised in Astoria. It's a great town to grow up in. You did a great job covering the town and sites. Thank you
Legendary Goonies!!! I totally felt like a kid watching this tour with y'all!
I found you guys by a random TH-cam search. I've binge watched all your content. Love this channel so so much. Love from the UK
Thank you so very much for making this video showing then vs now of one of my favorite movies of all time!!!
Thank you for taking us with you. This was so nostalgic to watch.
I'm actually stunned Micky's house is still there. I would've put money on it that all those houses would be gone by now for, idk, a golf course or something. xD
Goonies never die
I was guessing a Starbucks 🤷
yessss the house is still there but its had a few different owners over the years one was cool about people coming by it, and then there was one owner who got soooo tired of it she actually boarded up the windows and put up signs, im thinking dont move into a iconic house,
The house was saved with the jewels at the end on the beach
All of the "no trespassing" signs were posted around the house as of 2 years ago, they did not want anyone around.
Can't wait till my daughter is old enough to watch The Goonies. Hopefully she likes the movie and make it a part of her childhood as she grows up. I'm so glad I was a 80s kid, good times.
“They popped my new tires!” The bike scene always cracked me up. He looked so goofy riding that thing. Good times.
Thats his favorite thing, he mowed 200 lawns for it. Now its his least favorite thing
i always wondered why he just didn't pump them up.
@@cvltzilla He is Thanos, why not just use the Infinity Gauntlet?
Greetings from Croatia, your videos are so relaxing and nostalgic, specially in these hard times .
Man, I love what you guys do. If only I could follow you on you adventures. Keep it up!
The 80s rocked Thanks for the cruise down memory lane you guys are a true blessing to
Everyone who adores the 80s💙
Great vid I didn't think I would watch the whole thing
Thank you for bringing back a piece of my childhood. I was 13 when Goonies came out and I still love it to this day. It has stood the test of time. Thank you for visiting all these amazing locations. "Hey you guys!" Goonies never say die. And I am forever a Goonie. Thank you
My favorite movie as a kid and as an adult.... All my kids loved it as well.
Thanks Bud, love your passion man. Have to watch it tonight.
Love this video..This is one of my favorite movies of all time. Just that music in the very beginning started to bring back great memories. I was about 13 when it came out and me and a bunch of my neighborhood friends went to see it(several times) & absolutely loved it....Those were the days. I'd love to go back to the 80s
Me too
Years ago, I stayed at my Neices home for a few. They live in Cleveland, only a couple blocks away from the house on "A Christmas Story". I used to walk down occasionally and just sit on the porch and text on my phone. Always wanted to make it to the Goonies locations. So cool.
Man these videos are just fantastic. The tone, the pace, the style-just stellar. Subscribed.
My favorite scene at the end!!..the massive pirate ship coming into view out in the ocean 💯👍🙂..my day's been made by Grimm life collective..You 2 rock..🤗
I always wondered what it would be like to live in a town where an iconic movie was shot. Especially a movie like Goonies.
You are thanking us? No no, thank you both!! Tbh, there were scenes in this that got me emotional. I feel a bit silly saying that but it brought me way back. I probably didn't watch this movie until a year or two after its release and seeing this makes me wish i could go back.
During one of the first grimmupallnight watch parties I asked about Oregon film locations and Michael immediately responded "Goonies". Cross this off the bucket list. Great video kids, thanks for dragging us along.
Grimm for Life!
Dragging…like little Grimm Ghouls. Glad you…dig…the video.
This movie and Ferris Bueller's Day off were the two 80's comedies I watched no matter how many times it was on TV. That's how good they are.
Don’t forget back to the future
Hell yea! lol me too 😂 good times!
(clears throat ) roadhouse
The comedies, horror and action movies that came out of the 80s is quite amazing.
As a child who grew up in the 70's and 80's , Goonies is the movie that defined the decade! Kids related to the movie as well as adults. It is a masterpiece.
I love how you often open your videos with a creepy vibe.
Creepy creepy…thank you
I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to re-live my childhood . Your channel truly makes me so happy
My very first job was in a movie theater at the same year the theater had this movie. Even though I've seen it dozens of times it's still a fun watch.
One of my favorite movies. Thank you for sharing this.
what an awesome video for one of the greatest movies! Much like other 80's kids- we'd leave our houses on all day adventures like this. This movie just fueled that one of those adventures could be phenomenal!
Your shot line ups are amazing! Thank you for the effort.
I’ve done some ET locations and they’re super cool. I’ve also been through Astoria but I knew nothing about The Goonies at the time
This is one of my all time favorites!! I love the Goonies.
Absolutely LOVED this! Thank you for taking us round the spots. We love how thorough you are with every aspect, from matching the views to all the facts. Thanks from the UK
An amazing movie that was a huge part of my childhood. You convey the experience perfectly. I wish I was there myself 🙏
goonies never say die
Does he love baby Ruth !
@@sweetassugar2076 lol I don’t know, I’ll have to ask. 😁
Francis Fratelli( Joe Pantolaino or Joey Pants) has come a long way. The Fugitive,The Sopranos,Daredevil just to name a few, great actor.
"The wind can suck it!!" 🤣🤣 You two are great.
Hello,
I've watched it last week with my eight year old daughter...
What a lovely movie! It always takes me back to my childhood... It's one of my favourite movies ever! ❤
So thanks for the video!
Seriously pals... I really LOVE your Channel. Thank you so much for take me to these locations. I'm here, right in my crypt in spain watching the video and the most healthy nostalgia invaded me.
Zombite for the both!
New sub here! I've been DEVOURING your videos - they're AWESOME! I just watched The Goonies for the very first time a few weeks ago. At the age of 43. And I loved it! 😍 🎬
The Goonies is one of my favourite shows. This is an amazing comparison, best one on TH-cam by far.
Thank you for taking so much time and putting in so much effort into aligning shots as best as you could. Loved how you gheeked out in mostly every situation. Love it
Thanks for these video's guys, reliving my childhood favorites and actually, your video's make me want to rewatch some of them again. Man I miss the 80's.
I was going to john jacob elementary and lived off 35th when filming was going on for this. Use to walk to that store near the highway. I remember all these spots fondly. Haven't been back for over a decade. My mom even worked at the maritime museum. I also went to the bowling alley with my dad. Pretty cool seeing it again! Thanks!
I love how excited and geeked-out you get over this stuff! I love the same movies 🍿 and feel the same way you do about 80’s movies like Goonies, Lost Boys, etc. thanks for taking us along on your adventures!
Great nostalgic video ghouls, one of my favourite 80's movies. The musem looks like a great place to visit 👻🎃🏴☠️
I really admire and respect the hard work you put into you videos.
Man I found your channel the other day, and this literally made my Friday awesome! The Goonies is so magical to a lot of us, this was awesome! Thank you guys, great video!
As for the seaweed:
It's commonly called the Bull whip kelp or Ribbon kelp.
I think us 80s kids were the best days of being a kid. Oops you said momma fratelli was eating a cookie. Oops... Lawrence is his name ..
definitely the best decade ever. best movies and music. last decade where we knew how to play and function as human children without wifi. what a great simpler time.
I agree loved being a kid in the 80s uk
So very true!
You guys really got me in the feels with this one ! You guys are killin it! Best Goonies locale vid I have seen!
Not only did you visit one of my favorite movie's filming locations...but you make it fun and enjoyable. You're easy to listen and pay attention to. I have a couple of pieces of the porch wood from the Goonies house. They have signed certificates of authenticity from the homes owner.
It's so cool how you line up all those shots
Let us Goonies take a moment of silence to remember the great legend Richard Donner
And Chris Columbus, mostly!!
¿do you think Damien would have been friends with the goonies?
And of course the actors and film crew that made this movie. I remember when it first came out in the movie theaters in the 80's and I went and watched this movie in a movie theater.
From one GOONIE to another, thank you man!! GOONIES FOR LIFE!! Bless your heart!!
ouch! you just let me know about Donner. I'm sad.
Hear me out please because I do not wish to take away from the magic but these houses, building, roads and rocks but it's absolutely fantastic how something special such as the Goonies can morph those items into something that is treasured and loved by so many people
As a kid seeing this in the cinema to now a man in his 50s I still love that movie.
I love the goonies! I’m an 80s kid, it was the best time to grow up in. You covered this so nicely, I loved seeing all the filming locations, I’m glad to see most of the things are still there. ❤
