Yes! Been waiting for this!! Love Santa Cruz! Been to the Boardwalk a few times! ❤️ Santa Cruz WAS called the “Murder Capital of the World” because I the 70’s, there were several active serial killers... one of them still alive today and was helpful to FBI Profilers in classifications for these types of offenders; Edmund Kemper. There is a REALLY GOOD series in Netflix called Mindhunter about it. Highly recommend it if you haven’t watched it already!

Oh hell yea. The one song he plays i love, and its a vampire cartoon through it referencing the lost boys! The girls name who sings in it is Indiana. I love her music too, but she was just spot on in that song. She really sang that part awesome! Also you definitely can't beat the ending when she gets showered in blood 🤘🩸That whole album is pretty good.
Thank you for doing this documentary of location! The Lost Boys is one of my all-time favorites. It takes me back to my teenage high school years. I want to live at grandpa's house. That area is beautiful.
What a great film. A masterpiece that captures the 80s. My childhood being born in 79. Sometimes wish I'd been born in 69 to get the full 80s experience. The soundtrack is great too. Love everything about it.😀
This was the first movie I bought for myself when I moved out and started a movie collection because it's so great- it holds so many memories and I still absolutely love it.
If you happen to notice during the movie, all the sudden "David" starts wearing gloves. What happened is during the bike riding on the boardwalk, Keifer saw a girl he wanted to get her attention. So, he was riding wheelies up and down the boardwalk, and then one time he hit the railroad tracks. The bike went flying up in the air and he fell hard on his right wrist. Turns out he broke it in 3 places. They ended up getting a surfboard maker to make a cast, a super-duper thin cast, and he wears gloves to hide it. When "Starr" gets on the back of the bike, was the first time Kiefer drove after the accident, and she ask what was wrong with his hand, he told her it was broken, and she asked if he could do this. He looked over his shoulder and said let's find out, and off they went. Notice at that spot in the film, his brake AND clutch are both on the left-handle bar of the bike. When he got back from the hospital, the girl was gone. LOL
David was wearing gloves from his very first scene of the movie. There wasn't any "all the sudden". No gloves in the beach massacre, the cave where sleeping Marko takes a stake, or in the fight scene with Michael at Grampa's house. Yeah, he broke his wrist and they adapted the bike, but there are zero scenes where you can clearly see it. Ya better look again.
This always pairs well with the Goonies for Pacific Coast 80s flicks. Still hard to believe Jason Patric is Jackie Gleason's grandson. It's easier to see him as Father Karras' kid, though.
Yeah that blew my mind about Jackie Gleason being Jason Patric’s Uncle... What’s even Sadder... is he died one month before the Release of The Lost Boys:(
@@rebeccaofsunnybrookfarm6698 Jackie Gleason died in 1987 and Jason Miller died in 2001. Jason Patric was never very close to grandpa Jackie, apparently.

Thank you for this informative & great video! You really shown all these spots, great for a old Lost Boys fan that sadly lives waaaay too far away to visit this myself. Huge thank you😊
Good video. I met Corey Haim one night in LA, I think a few months before he died. At a place called Monday night social in Hollywood. He was next to me on the outside patio, smoking a cigarette. I wasnt sure but then he turned around and i almost lost my shit. Of course i had to say something. I praised his movies and told him how much it meant to shake his hand. He was super nice and very humble. Sadly, I could see a sadness in his eyes. He looked at that time already pretty unwell. But still - it was a moving experience from a Lost boy fan (which i saw in theaters in the 80s growing up in Germany). RIP dude

One of my favorite films EVER. I love seeing this kind of history. I love seeing filming locations and spots where the cameras didn't show. It's almost as if you're in the shoes of cast and crew and what they saw and experienced. I think you guys of all people would understand, it truly gives me the same vibes of childhood memories? Like you didn't live through it but it feels as if you did? I just love everything about these Hollowood walkthroughs. I say Hollowood because you're literally walking through the bones of the past. I LOVE it. It would be legendary if you could get some cast members to do a walkthrough with you and get their commentary on it.

Oh Man, what an extraordinary video, thank you!! I just saw the movie because of the 35 years since it was released and it brought back so many good memories. One of the last sentences you said about if someone had told you in the middle of the 90s that one day you would be there, that really hit me hard, not because I have already been there, but because I also remember the 90s with a lot nostalgia for my childhood and in it having the memories of seeing The Lost Boys and thinking that I liked that movie so much even though at that time I didn't even know what its name was, I just watched it on television every time it was broadcast and I enjoyed it so much ; remember it throughout my life as a film that marked me too much and, in a way, feel "proud" that it was part of my childhood and adolescence.

I'm 48 and also grew up absolutely loving this movie!!! Even today, all my kids love this movie also. Heck my 21 yr old asked me this past weekend...." Dad let's watch Lost Boys. "
This video and channel is awesome!!! You got a new subscriber. Thank you for your time and work into these videos!!! I will definitely one day check these sites out thx to you!!! 🤙🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yes! Been waiting for this!! Love Santa Cruz! Been to the Boardwalk a few times! ❤️
Santa Cruz WAS called the “Murder Capital of the World” because I the 70’s, there were several active serial killers... one of them still alive today and was helpful to FBI Profilers in classifications for these types of offenders; Edmund Kemper. There is a REALLY GOOD series in Netflix called Mindhunter about it. Highly recommend it if you haven’t watched it already!
You made me want to pop in my Lost Boys DVD lol!
🖤..👌🥰
I think i just might
Me too right now..my favorite movie
I still have the VHS tape with the cover
It's actually free on TH-cam right now. Dunno if it's because I have a premium account or not but it's free to watch for me right now.
By far the BEST and most COMPLETE coverage of the Lost Boys filming locations.
Thank you two for making this. The Lost Boys and it's cast has a special place in my heart. Rest in peace Corey Haim. I will always like Corey Feldman.
GOD DAMMIT.....its 6:00 am and now I have to watch the lost boys to start my day
I am 49 yrs old and this is 1 of my favorite movies. Me and my older brother used to watch it everytime it came on tv. Brings back good memories. Love this video, great footage!
I've had conversations online with Corry Feldman not long after the criticism he took for his music. He was such a nice guy and he spoke about his album. Really nice chap
Man watching this makes me feel old. I saw it 3 times in the theater when it first came out. Love it just as much now as I did then. Great video, Michael and Jessica!!!
This was a treat. The Lost Boys was and still is one of my favorite vampire films and one of my favorite films of all time. Loved this video thanks for sharing!
One of my favorite vampire movie of all time ♡♡
So happy i still have this dvd in my collection ♡♡
I'm a Santa Cruz local! So rad to see yah here! Belive me...there are plenty of vampires here ;)
I was a Santa Crustacean from 1987 - 1994.
-oiiio- how many vamps you encounter dude?
@@recemottashed4941 A few females.
You did an incredible job on this video! I was in 7th grade and we had to lie to my mom since it was rated R. We said we saw Can’t Buy Me Love. 😂. Of course, I eventually told her. I love the soundtrack too and have it in my playlist. Lost Boys is definitely one of my favorite movies of all time!
The best vampire movie ever made
Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It's fun to be a vampire.
Hook me up
Until 2 kids brake en to your cave and drive a stake thru your heart ❤️ lol 😂

I am old enough that I could see the Lost Boys in theatres when it first came out. Those sweeping shots were amazing in the theatre.
i've been thinking ab this video for days, there is something with the vibe that i just love about this channel🙏🙏🙏 thank you sm for what you do
This is one of the coolest vampire movies ever. I remember when and where I was when I first saw it in 1987. I also own the soundtrack on vinyl.
Immortal fear
That voice so clear
Through broken walls
That scream I hear
Love that song. Seasons After did a really solid metal cover of it about ten years ago. As much as it pains me to say it, Marilyn Manson's cover was just God awful by comparison.
@@jeremyt2212 I agree.
I ended up searching other artist doing the "Cry Little Sister" cover... I found that VomitroN - (ft. Anneke van Giersbergen) did a nice job.
"The Dirty Youth" gave it a nice Erie Romantic sound to it
Corey Feldman (Edgar Frog) version sucks.
I LOVE The Lost Boys!! I've watched it over and over!! So excited for this!
OMG....The Lost Boys is my favorite movie of all time! To this day (I'm 56) it is oftentimes my bedtime movie! This is now my favorite movie locations episode. Thank you Michael and Jessica!

How are you not on 1 mill subs? You are incredibly underated as a content creator. Keep up the good work..From England 👋
You guys have inspired me to one day make this journey. I was about 11 or 12 when this movie came out. I absolutely loved everything about it, the movie, characters, soundtrack…all amazing! Still one of my all time favs! Thanks for doing what you do!
Hello Michael and Jessica! Thanks for showing us Santa Cruz. Beautiful scenery! Have a great Grimm day. 🌅🐋🦀🐟🐡🐚
My childhood dream has come true, thanks to you man!! Thanks to you, I was there. "Never grow old, never die"!!
Thank you guys for the amazing video. I first saw The Lost Boys when I was 9 years old, It was Sunday around 2 PM, in a little city from Brazil, and I will never forget this day. Now, more than 20 years later, I still loving this movie! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
The saxophone dude, Tim Cappello still goes around singing that song in bars and stuff. There are some videos on TH-cam. "I still believe"
had such a lusting for the big sweaty guy with the sax
Gunship has a great video with him that that is also a homage to the LOST BOYS such a great music video I have seen many times!!!
@@slagit which video of theirs?

Oh hell yea. The one song he plays i love, and its a vampire cartoon through it referencing the lost boys! The girls name who sings in it is Indiana. I love her music too, but she was just spot on in that song. She really sang that part awesome! Also you definitely can't beat the ending when she gets showered in blood 🤘🩸That whole album is pretty good.
Thank you for doing this documentary of location! The Lost Boys is one of my all-time favorites. It takes me back to my teenage high school years. I want to live at grandpa's house. That area is beautiful.
Awesome job finding these filming locations! The Lost Boys is a timeless classic.
So as the soundtrack
LOL
I remember when he took that spill, I was there.
Kifer was kind of a jerk to us security staff.
😮 I was always what'd to know why he did that for thank you dear kindly
David was wearing gloves from his very first scene of the movie. There wasn't any "all the sudden". No gloves in the beach massacre, the cave where sleeping Marko takes a stake, or in the fight scene with Michael at Grampa's house. Yeah, he broke his wrist and they adapted the bike, but there are zero scenes where you can clearly see it. Ya better look again.
@@jeffpowell9937 That's a shame. Hate to hear about actors being jerks. Seems to be rare when they're actually nice.
What’s even Sadder... is he died one month before the Release of The Lost
Boys:(
Interesting
I never knew that. Who died Jackie or Jason?
@@rebeccaofsunnybrookfarm6698 Jackie Gleason died in 1987 and Jason Miller died in 2001. Jason Patric was never very close to grandpa Jackie, apparently.
Yeah interesting deal and I loved some of of the work he grandfather did especially THE HONEYMOONERS!
The absolute coolest movie and group of actors when I was growing up back then..we all wanted to be Sam or Mike or Kiefer! Awesome movie, a favorite for every friends party or sleepover! Thanks for the video
You guys do a ton of homework and its appreciated. Great quality 100% of time!!
I saw this movie just the other day. It came out before I was even born. Definitely a classic.
My sister lives in Santa Cruz she showed me all these locations when I was there. I grew up in that erra . I miss those days. Great video Mike
I'm 38 year's old. This movie was my childhood, a Classic and the best vampire movie ever made.❤️🙏🇬🇧 This video is awesome guys, so much nostalgia. The Younger generation today will never understand how cool the 80s were.
This is my favorite movie still. I'm glad you did this video. Many have tried to cover it but you have done it perfect.
My favorite movie! I live in Santa Cruz. I live like 4 minutes from the Boardwalk. I made lemonade from the lemons off the tree in front of grampas's house. I even named my daughter Star.
Are movies like this made in California anymore? Seems like all movies are made in Georgia ... Canada... or in England
Thank you for this informative & great video! You really shown all these spots, great for a old Lost Boys fan that sadly lives waaaay too far away to visit this myself. Huge thank you😊
Ah the Lost Boys...excellent work...I still Believe....
Mike, you and Miss Baby Ghoul compliment each other perfectly in these videos! Her suddle gestures are fabulous.
RIP dude
This brings back so many memories, I was 12 when I first watched The Lost Boys and as an 80's kid in the UK American movies were always the best viewing, it was great to see the locations but sad Grampa's house has been abandoned thanks for showing us around.
I was in Santa Cruz when they where filming “The Lost boys” it was so cool ! There was big Panavision trucks by the boardwalk i got to see them setting up the lighting and the cast members hanging around the trucks and big RV’s they had all the sign’s up on the boardwalk and on the streets ! Me and my sister where just kids we really got a kick out of it. Then to go see the movie at the theater was a blast ! Still one of my favorite shows ever thanks for sharing awesome memories
Cool
Oh my god that was amazing to watch. The Lost Boys was where it all began for me as a child I watched it over and over thousand’s of times and remains my all time fav movie and loved it so much I named my son after the two Coreys. To see these locations gave me goosebumps. Even here in Scotland 🏴 this movie is worshipped and I also had the honour of meeting Keifer Sutherland when he was here with his band and he signed my Lost Boys VHS 📼
Lost Boys Forever
I'm from Scotland too. I remember Keifer and his band coming. haha I still watch this on VHS too. Where you from?
@@vandamme6379 let’s just say we have a terrible accent where I’m from 😂😂
You met Kiefer, I am jealous had a crush on him playing David.
I forgot that Bill Preston (aka Alex Winter) played a Vampire in The Lost Boys. Totally Awesome!!
All I can say is WOW!! I'm such an 80's kid and you nailed this! I've always wanted to visit this location, and I really appreciate you taking the time to go to so many these movie locations. I recently started to follow you on TH-cam, and make it a daily habit to check to see if you've posted something new. Also-really enjoyed the video about The locations of Interview with a Vampire. Keep it up!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this! Thanks for the trip down memory lane...all these years later, The Lost Boys is still one of my favorite movies...I was 18 when it came out. I appreciate your efforts in putting this video together...it must have taken a fair bit of time! My favorite line..."and you must be Max". Peace from eastern Canada!
Now I want to blast “cry little sister” and have some death by stereo. Awesome video and grew up loving The Lost Boys
PS. It is my life goal to one day get to the Atlas Comic shop and get that replica comic. That would be so awesome.
I just came across this channel and I can't get enough of it. This lost boys has me in my feelings. 49 years old and the memories come rushing back. I live near Santa Cruz, maybe I should go on a pilgrimage to these spots. Thank you for this!
Mike & Jessica this was out of the park! Excellent camera & editing with the most eloquently detailed narration! Bro I sure appreciate your efforts in capturing the essence of the times back in the day! Luv&Peace Cheers,✌👏
My moms favorite movie, she was probably like 18 when it came out. I remember watch it a lot as a kid, total classic.
Initiation's over, Michael. It's time to join the club.
Lost boys, amazing movie and iconic soundtrack. Rest In Peace Corey Haim ✝️💐 (on the vlog of Scott on tape , there is a beautiful interview with her sister and the grave of him) ✌🏼
