I hope he brings EVERYTHING that was at the house back. The screen door that Data goes thru. The bike with flat tires, the attic with All that COOL stuff. Also put the mechanism that opened the fence gate. That was iconic. It's not the same without it. I'm so glad you did this. I have seen Goonies hundreds of times. I visited the house in 1993 but we couldn't go up to it, just look from the street. I am officially going to start watching it with my autistic daughter and visit when the house is all set up. That is definitely ony bucket list. Thank you so much for being a really cool person!!!!
@RedakaiCity 1.2 million dollars is a lot of money to dish out. I think a donation box is appropriate. That house is very very old and it needs to be kept up. It's not cheap. Also, people want to visit a private property with many neighbors. This guy seems so nice and cool, and I'd bet you anything that he probably helps his neighbors out with said donations.
after reading about the last owner covering the house in blue tarp, it's great to see a fan bought this house and sounds welcoming. hopefully fans don't ruin that cause I'd like to come and visit the house one day!
This guy beat me to it. I’m not kidding, this was my dream. Very glad it’s in incredibly good hands though. Thanks for buying for all the right reasons, to the owner. Also, although the anti-Goonies neighbor is terrible, and should move if he doesn’t like being in the middle of cultural history… people who use the name Karen as an insult are also usually completely useless.
So sad we had to wait that long to see that video and so , for unknown reasons there were not such amount of videos inside and around etc with the last owner....
Actually, me! I am a full time prop builder who has been working directly with Behman and others to restore this treasured landmark. Feel free to reach out!
Just got back from a trip to Astoria without knowing about this little “feud” so encountering Ms. Fratelli herself was quite the experience. I’ll say this…calling her a Karen is a compliment compared to what I experienced. Read the TripAdvisor reviews for yourself..
I live in Astoria and work for a furniture and appliance store doing deliveries. I've delivered to her house and the one to the left. She's actually not a bad person at all but she has had some extremely disrespectful people on her property. Some of people literally walked up onto her porch just to take selfies of the Goonie house. Things were so bad for a while that access up to the houses had to be restricted. Please don't judge her too harshly.
I use to live in that neighborhood & that grumpy house never did take care of there yard so I never understood why that house always complained about everything
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 which was the one where the turtles & April go back in time to feudal Japan was also filmed in Oregon. None of the movie was filmed in Japan. The movie making crew did an excellent job on the filming locations. They looked just like Japan.
Waw! Id turn that house into a Vegan coffee with Bike rental. Just so tourists would come visit it, have coffees/ chai/ pumpkin spice, or smoothies, then complete their journey with a bike ride. 🚴♂️
This is cool but I kinda feel bad for the neighbors. They dealt with people sneaking on their property and being invasive for years and now the guy puts out a welcome mat for everyone and he has thought about making it an Air BNB and calling their next door neighbors Karen's for not wanting to deal with fanboys being rude and obnoxious. People get carried away and don't think of anyone else but themselves.
@@SecondStage1983 as someone who has spent time personally with the new owner and his wife, I can assure you that the "(they)... Don't think of anyone but themselves." Comment couldn't be farther from the truth. Behman is an extremely kind person and he actually purchased this house so that he COULD think of others and wants to make as many people happy as he can. He bought this house to share it with Goonies from around the world. If that comes at the cost of one sole person's displeasure, then so be it. I don't think you have all of the facts and you're going off of what the media and previous stories have led you to believe. And your claim about Behman wanting to Airbnb the property is also laughable as that is not the intention at all. Not only is it not his goal, it's also against city ordinances to do so (which he knew going into the sale). I was there for several days and not once did anyone "rude or obnoxious" come by to see the home. They were actually quite the opposite. Very grateful, respectful, and polite. No one left trash, no one stepped foot on anyone else's property, and no one stayed longer than it took for them to simply take a few photos and enjoy seeing this beautifully unique and iconic home.
@@PropGuru702 that's great to hear but I was referring to the years beforehand that people were very evasive, coming on to the property without permission, going through the neighbors yards and creating difficulties for the neighbors. If your friend can mitigate that or make it work for the neighborhood than that's amazing but I was referencing the history of the house and neighborhood is that people have been incredibly inconsiderate to the neighbors around them. I didn't say your friend was only thinking about themselves, I said that the way people generally behave is with disregard for people around them and I was referencing the people that have been coming to see the house in prior years not caring about the privacy of the owners or surrounding houses. Is your friend going to live there full-time? Or are they hiring property managers? Personally Im jealous. The house is beautiful. I was just saying I can empathize with why neighbors might be grumpy and it just seems like it's already off to a contentious start.
Actually the neighbor has a legitimate complaint and it is odd ,to say the least, that the new owner hasn’t spoken or listened to his neighbors. Apparently he is not interested in being part of our community.
@@seedy6538 you do realize how moronic you sound? And you also realize that the whole plot of the Goonies was too keep that house (and the others around it) precisely where they are right? Plus, moving a house that was built in 1896 like that off of a slide zone would be problematic at the very least.
I'm really glad that the house belongs to someone who understands how much that movie meant to so many people.
Yes!!! Me too! 🙌 Absolutely!!!🫶
Glad that house was bought by someone who understands the significance behind it!
Imagine waking up every morning to people doin the truffle shuffle outside your house! 😅😅
This dude is a complete boss.
Nuttin but love for him n being a fellow Goonie.
That would be cool if he made it look just like in the movie and opened it up as an Airbnb
Sadly can't do any temp rentals. But it will definitely be restored ;)

We are definitely in the works of recreating the Rube Goldberg contraption ;) stay tuned!
The attic was filmed on Hollywood stage, not actual attic at the house.
@@PropGuru702 awesome!
Good for him! I feel him! I used to watch the movie most days after school. I know the film line-for-line 💗
I'm 67 years old and I"M a Goonies fan. I have to get back to Astoria.
Can’t wait to visit on Goonies Day 2023
So happy for you Beamer! Anxious to see how you transform the house!
I was there on Sep 2023. Thank You sir. Btw; if anyone goes to visit the Goonies house, be king and leave a donation on the box in front of house. 😊
That guy's already a millionaire...I think it's in bad taste to ask for handouts. He paid 1.2 Million...more that you plebs will ever have.

What an Awesome owner
Was there today !
This is a good man right here. This guy is bro.
This is on my bucket list!
Much respect
It’s awesome when a fan buys a movie house and is welcoming of fans. Unlike the Breaking Bad house lady who chases everyone away.

I love this guy!

I can’t wait to see it when they finish it.
I loved this movie
Some movies have been shot in Astoria, Oregon.
Love this ,my favourite movie 🎬 🎞 🎥 ☠️
Im so happy, oh my...
He bought the house and is now going to charge people thousands to tour it . Smart man
This guy is one of us!! A true fucking goonie
Where can I buy the Michelangelo's David statue to donate to the cause? It was Mrs. Walsh's "favorite part".
Actually, me! I am a full time prop builder who has been working directly with Behman and others to restore this treasured landmark. Feel free to reach out!
😂
*piece
Always was confused if he meant "art piece" or...... The actual slang word for said "part".🤣

If I was him I'd be undoing everything to make it as much like the house in the movie as possible.
I may visit astoria now

Thank you! I think the fratelli's must live there!
Yep in the apartment house that road dead ends into = I worked in Columbia memorial hospital
It would be awesome if he turns the house into a Goonies museum
He has given permission for us to do the truffle shuffle outside his house Ima goin! 🤣
Cool
is it going to remain a private domestic dwelling or do you plan some sort of museum?
House n the middle is his best friends house.
for me the ultimate movie house would have to be Freddy's house from nightmare on elm st. i would so love to buy that one.
So rad!
❤
It's fantastic but the other hand i feel sorry for that neighbour. Lots of people will disturb day and night.

Modern day Goonie Fans beware Karen Fratelli is real
I have that door mat in my apartment
His childhood best friend bought the house next store. No bs, lol. (To the right w/ new banner, not Data's house)
😊😊😊
Who's here from Drunk3P0's video where he toured the house?

You have no idea who or what you're talking about sadly. The neighborhood is fine. All but 1 neighbor has been very welcoming and super friendly.
