If you like this, there are 2 other videos you should watch.
We show you all the other Goonies filming locations- th-cam.com/video/gzm7wWqDmLI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=O32YlK-1JCbFMrJn
And we got to stay overnight in the Field of Dreams house- th-cam.com/video/OBGsJtK3CQA/w-d-xo.html
Before TH-cam I was worried cos I thought that something's wrong with me. Born in 1975 I'm about that age as the characters of The Goonies, I could relive my childhood over and over again by watching the movie so many times. Only after seeing other guys talking on TH-cam about how much they love the movie and seeing them going to Oregon to visit all the filming locations I could relax cos then I knew that I'm just a normal guy 😆 Thank you guys showing the house after so many years!
Just trying to spread the magic of The Goonies. What a masterpiece! We are with you! Cheers and thanks for watching!
I was born in 75 also. Yes your correct it was pretty cool wayching kids somewhat close to our age on the screen in a cool adventure
Dude, don’t be afraid to proclaim your love for the greatest movie of all time!! I too, born in 75, make it no secret!!!😂 Hey, Goonies never say die, right???☠️
You're so lucky to actually go inside the home. It's good to know a huge Goonies fan bought the house and embraces visitors.
It was an unbelievable experience!
Hear me out guys.. buy the house, redo the whole interior and reset it back to 1985. I'm talking from head to toe a recreation of the Goonies house with all the original furniture and items. Then, give tours, Airbnb's, private parties, etc.
And if it works, let me have a weekend stay there.. on the house 😂
Love the podcast my dudes! Keep em' comin, and stay frosty 😎
If we had the money, that was the plan!!!
And film it as a tv special!!
A good friend and I went to the house in early the 90’s when you could still go to it. We met the owners. They were really kind to us. I’ll never forget the experience.
Ya, I’m a 1978 brat from Tacoma wa. watching the goonies always gives me that feeling, can’t explain it. but I know you all understand it.
You guys are so lucky :) This is 80’s kid’s heaven. From Seattle but have been to The Goonies house a few times. Even my kiddos have seen it.
Just wanted to say I love what you guys are doing🙂 Caught you on the Bertcast and have been binging the podcasts ever since.
Believe us- the privilege of being in that house was not lost on us. Thanks for the support man! More cool stuff to come!
This home just sold for 1.65 million, by an anonymous buyer. It'll be interesting to see what he does with it.
Thanks so much for having me along for the ride! Can't wait to do it again 🤘
Couldn’t have done it without you!
Wow, so thrilled you were able to experience this and share it.
It’s amazing to witness the impact this movie continues to have on people decades later. I wonder how many grown up Goonies fans were inspired to make feature films themselves.
💝🏡 love to the owner. She saved the goondocks.
She did. It’s absolutely beautiful from the work she did
Had a great visit with her this summer. Awesome lady. Wish her all the best.
I live in West Virginia and flew to Portland to check this house out and Cannon Beach. A nice trip to appease my inner geekdom.
Goonies Never Say Die!
This hit me in ALL my feels!! Woooooow! Thank you for sharing your experience and so happy that you guys were lucky enough to do this incredible tour! Goonies never say die!
Love it! Last time I was in Portland I spent a day in Astoria checking out the Goonies spots.. then went to Canon Beach to see the Haystack Rock. Highly recommend you guys making the trip to Brownsville too to check out the Stand By Me sights.. my two fav movies.. Goonies and Stand by Me. Love the pod! keep up the great work!
Might have to make Brownsville our next trip! Stay tuned for next week’s video. We toured all the other Astoria/Cannon Beach filming locations.
OMFG!!! Many thanks Gents!! My favorite podcast and my favorite movie. You guys let me relive my childhood with every movie pick, things I had forgotten about for so long. Appreciate what you've done and feels like Im sitting there with my friends discussing old times and laughing along with you.
Thanks so much for the kinds words! We really are glad that you are loving our podcast
Love this guys
Y’all may be 3 on the podcast chats but you are #1 for me
LOL! Thanks man. Appreciate that!
Been there many years ago when you could walk up to the house. Really enjoyed the tour and background gents, what an amazing experience to step inside our collective memory of this amazing movie house!
I stil remember the first couple eps man how time flies ! My favorite was over the top review
2+ years... it's crazy to think about! Thanks for the support!
@@ConfusedBreakfast no thank y’all ! Man my dad passed away a year ago and your pods have gave me plenty of smiles. My dad showed me all the 80’s and 90’s movies and y’all bring me back to the good times with him
That’s so Awesome. Thank you for sharing . Just down the road in Astoria was the site of Kindergarten Cop.
I am so envious of you guys! Love what you do! Thanks for this!
Ohhhhh 😊😊😊 That movie is like the cutest one that still hangs on into my mind.
I went to a movie theater with my cousins and two friends (my school mate and his sister).
After that afternoon, our bike rides were never the same. Everytime we rode our bikes we'd picture the Goonies movie soundtrack and we would sing while riding our bikes, specially because in our town it rains a lot. So this movie means a lot to me.
Today, I am 47 years of age and when it rains, anywhere I am, and specially when I ride my bike on a rainy day, I literally transport myself to Astoria and then Goonies are Good Enough song pops up into my memory. Its a flash back I want to keep on holding forever 😊😊😊
The picture in this movie is awesome! The natural elements (he wind, the rain, the fog, the trees, the cliffs, the beach) I could definitely feel it's cool weather on my skin, just by remembering this movie.
That was so awesome!!! Thanks guys
This is AWESOME!! It's so cool that this is not on some random back lot at universal! Yes they did some random builds but the main spots are real!! Thanks for the tour cya tomorrow and many more Wednesday's to come!!
Just saw the Goonie house yesterday. The nostalgia I tell ya! 😩💙
New sub. This channel is so fun! :)
Thanks so much! Being inside was incredible. Glad to have you here on our channel!
So proud of you guys. Much like everyone else I found you through Bert. I LOVE the podcast keep doing what you do!
This is absolutely amazing. Mike! I want that shirt my man!
It would of been so badass if the house was left untouched and in the original 80s state but still soooo cool to go there
So cool to know that I was born only a few miles away back in 1983
The attic is classic still you guys rock
leaving a comment now so you guys know I was here before this video blows up and gets a zillion views ❤
PRODUCER JEREMY!!!!
I’m on the East coast and wanted to say thank you for going there and sharing this with us!
So cool guys! What an awesome experience. Mikes shirt, Goondock Saints... Dude👊
Heyyyyy Bobéééé
Couldn’t believe I found it!
Kindergarten Cop (that you mention in this vid) was also filmed here ;)
I moved here years ago from Minnesota, and Goonies was the main draw for me! Great job on your video guys!
Appreciate the kind words! We have a second video coming out next week with all the other amazing filming locations around Astoria area.
EPIC. Period. 🤩
Fun vid 👏
I was fortunate to tour the house in 2015. Took my shoes off at the door, gave Sandy a floral arrangement and hung out/shot vid for about 2 hours. Was an incredible time, for sure.
Great Video Guys! Damn , I love that house.
Thanks so much. It was an incredible experience
The attic looks beautiful. I can imagine any kid wanting that as their bedroom.
Mint. My kind of guys. Enjoyed this a lot.
Thanks so much! We had a blast making it and love that everyone else can enjoy it. Cheers!
Statue of David is still there on the living room table Wow Cool! Love this you Guys 🤘🖤🙏
Thank u guys. once a Goonie always a Goonie!!! I was 7 and I still watch this movie few times every year since 😏
Love it!
AJ in the bedroom: This is my mom’s favorite room!!
Mikey: you wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t 😎
Finally a movie podcast with real dudes making nostalgic reviews
Great vid. Thanks.
Thanks for watching!!
I know this is already sold, but damn if I was rich I would buy it and remake it exactly like the movie and make it a museum / attraction.
I’ll watch this over and over again when my child is old enough I’ll show her too
Fantastic! We just saw the house yesterday along with Data's house. Went to other sites too!
loved this video guys
Really appreciate that!!!
Should be bought, and remodeled exactually how it was in the movie, and opened as a museum. Charge 10 bucks a person and make your money back in a few years.
Awesome video thank you. Iowa does have the Field of Dreams!
You guys didnt do the truffle shuffle. I'm disappointed.....lol. 😂
Yo, that was amazing! Couldn't imagine how nostalgic that was! Goonies, Stand by Me, and Back to the Future were my jam growing up (age 43) did u guys review Teen Wolf yet? I was watching it tonight, it's so horribly awesome 😂. Watching now you can see MJF put his hands in his pockets way more than B2TF.....poor MJF!
I discovered you guys through Bert Kreischer's pod cast.....I'm hooked!!!!!!! 🤘
Teen Wolf is definitely going to happen in the new year
They should try to go into the house where they film Doc's House From Back To The Future not sure if they did that yet be cool to see
It would be awesome if someone bought that house and made it movie accurate.
Cool AF!
very nice!
Oh man the jealousy, did y’all get to enjoy the museum as well?
Yep! Second video coming soon!
@@ConfusedBreakfast Awesome can’t wait to check it out. Love you guys, keep the content coming!
Wicked rad experience 😎 👍
As soon as I saw that you guys got to go inside I hit subscribe straight away. Also my favourite movie of all time. You guys are so lucky, I would love to visit one day but, I have one problem. I live in the England about 180 miles South West of London but maybe one day 🤞 great video
My childhood favourite film , you lucky guys 😊
Awesome!!
What an honor for us to be able to do that!
Awesome!
Thanks for watching
"Confused Breakfast...YOU GOONIEEEEEE!!"
Favorite Movie, so this video rocks! 😎👍🏽💯💯💯
God dang I love yall
I’ve been in that house 2 summers ago. I bought the center middle window from Sandy, the owner before this new guy. The window is for sale and also signed by Sandy (on paper). Lmk who REALLY wants it!
Spettacolare ❤
Bravi ragazzi … vorrei essere stato con voi 😊
Great video guys. Thanks for sharing this. What an experience. Can’t believe they want to tear it down to make a golf course. They should turn it into a bed and breakfast. Anyway, take care.😊👍❤️
I am an 80’s baby. This is wanna of the best if not the best of my generation
Amazing love thise movie.
Could you put The Goonies and Kindergarten Cop reviews back up on TH-cam?
Couple things- 1: we didn’t have video cameras and a TH-cam back when we did the Goonies movie review on the podcast. So you can only listen to it. 2: we recorded Kindergarten Cop inside the house. That episode will come out in early December!! Along with a bonus Goonies podcast episode early next week. Both will be in YT.
@@ConfusedBreakfast OOH great! Thanks Mike!
wow is there ever goin to be a part two
I was so disappointed you’ll didn’t have Cyndi playing in the car as you drove up! 😂
We were so dang excited that we forgot haha
The Short Circuit, Ally's house is actually near by, also with an Iconic view.
Check out our filming location video! It is recommended at the end of this video if you need the link. We went inside the Short Circuit house and got some great footage!
I’m pretty sure corey feldman is the current gardener on that property
SPEC. TACK. CULAR. Thank you for this video.
Yaaaaaa!
The stairs were not built by WB. That's were they were when filming took place. The owners later renovated and decided to relocate the stairs. There's a previous video from some other fans talking to what were the owners at the time.
if you love the goonies, get the 1985 novel of the film, it hast so much more stuff to discover. a "must-have"!! many thanks for the work, very sympathic! best greetings from germany
This movie is my life. I will be 40 next month. My entire childhood was based off these adventurous kids story. They could easily make a part two.
The 2nd part has been rumoured for years, never got off the ground and unlikely to happen now. 😢
One of the boys played in the movie stand by me
Yoooo, where in Iowa you guys from? Also from Iowa (Council Bluffs) and planning on making the trip to Astoria/Cannon Beach someday. Thanks for the vid!
Awesome
I took a vacation up there and rented a skim board. Literally the first attempt, I broke my arm. On my birthday as well. I wish I had gotten to tour the house. But I did get to poke squishy sea creatures with a crooked arm.
I'm a Realtor in Oregon. My goal is to be able to build movie houses for fans one day. This will be one of my first projects.
Single pause HOW IMPORTANT BROTHERS ARE.
Best movie ever definitely after a blunt and during bing rips
So what do we (as viewers/listeners) need to do, to make this a thing. Where you travel to iconic movie locations, and talk about em (probably do some podcasts there), and live vicariously through you to experience it ourselves?
Is it money? Connections? Both? Think we as a fan base can find a way to pull together and try something. I understand it wouldn't be often. Even a yearly thing where you guys get to go out and do these things.
I'd also love to somehow connect you guys with Red Letter Media, I think it would be awesome to have a video of all of you guys paired up.
Appreciate you thinking like this for us. We are definitely wanting to do this more often. I think it ultimately comes down to the popularity of our podcast and TH-cam channel. Your support and sharing helps make that happen. PS- we have another trip like this scheduled for the fall. Stay tuned
I am so freaking jealous!
It was so amazing!
I’ve been to the outside of the house once it was surreal
I think the attic scene was filmed on a sound stage.
First time I watched the Goonies was in 1991. I will never forget that day.
Don't forget that short circuit was also filmed their to
Check out our goonies filming location video! We went inside the short circuit house!
@@ConfusedBreakfast Epic input need in input
Porch my fav
I got the movie called the goonies
I would totally buy it if I could.
Same
If your from iowa, you have another iconic movies location...Dyersville, Field of Dreams.
th-cam.com/video/OBGsJtK3CQA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SIgqfReLwTWbtMtM
Already toured it and made a movie- enjoy!
Troy and his dad can finally buy all those houses
Save the goondocks
I went to this house a couple months ago. I think two elderly people live there?
