Thank you so much for doing these videos! They helped me to choose which amp to get and were very informative. I tried to choose with other longer video but it felt like the guy did just want to show how they play. In your videos you actually focus on the amp and show which settings are on and so on! Tbh when i saw your face i instantly got the feeling that "this guy is gonna be precise with the info!" And then you were! ❤
Very good video, thank youn ! I would like to come as close as possible to the Hank Marvin, Shadows sound. Which is a lot of chorus, reverb and echo. Which Amplug would you advice ?
Hey your videos are great. I'll make sure I use your affiliate link. I think the clean sounds the best, and I like how the crunch doesn't come in too fast with the gain dial. Then to my surprise, the red light had some overdrive for sure. Would you say that you get okay distortion with the red light and the gain cranked?
I have mine at red with the gain cranked and it sounds very decent for metal riffs. The superb cleans on the green channel and distortion on the red channel really cover all bases for me.
Great video. Which one do you recommend for country music ie chris Stapleton / jon pardi etc ? I'm new to electric guitar. I'm thinking the clean or ac30 ?
Well, most country music is heavy on acoustic guitar, which is clean, but some have electric parts that do have overdrive, so I might go for the AC 30 if the songs you want to play have some drive tones. If you are just going to play the acoustic parts, but just on the electric guitar, I would get the clean model.
ok I know this video is 3 years old but maybe some1 will see this comment and tell me what kind of adapter I can use not to connect the amplug directly into the guitar? it is horribly uncomfortable for me when sitting and playing as it is big and touches furniture/chair and I can't see the settings it is set to. Any amazon link or adapter name would be much appreciated
My bad haha. In all honesty though, you can get a good idea of the reverb from checking out the settings of reverb on any of the other models, as the actual settings are pretty much the same. Although, I know the tone is completely different.
Would it sound like this on an Ibanez? I don’t own a guitar or amp yet but am getting one for Christmas and since I’ll be taking lessons I want to get this headphone amp to practice. So would I get this same tone for a Ibanez guitar . Also what do I need to use this? Do I need an adapter or something to connect it to my headphones?
The general tone should be similar but there could be slight differences based on the type of pickups you use. Shouldn't be drastically different. You won't need anything else other than your guitar, the headphone amp, and some headphones/earphones.
I have the lead vox amplug (the first version) and there is not hiss (white sound) but i just have bought the Ac30 vox amplug (the second version) and there is a looot of hiss, is this normal? How a first (and old) version works better than a second version?
I am not sure about the first versions, but I remember some of the models I got had more hiss than the others, especially the ones with more gain. You will notice there will be more noticeable hiss when you bring the gain up, but I am not sure why some have them and some don't. Production issues? Sorry, but I'm not sure.
Amazing job I'm so grateful. But i wonder if you can show me some presets for the amplug clean version cause I'm a beginner and it's so hard to adjust it. Tanks a lot 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thanks for watching. Here are some presets you can try out. Green Channel-Gain:5 | Tone: 10 | Volume: 4 Orange-Gain: 7 | Tone: 8 | Volume: 4 Red-Gain: 5 | Tone: 7 | Volume: 4 Bonus Red-Gain: 10 | Tone: 5 | Volume: 4 Effects are up to you. 👍
You could use either. There is an auxiliary input on the top. Left of the gain wheel control. You can connect your phone using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and use Spotify play lists or TH-cam. Anything really.
@@GrowWithGuitar Thanks for your quick response! I'm torn between getting this and the Vox Mini 3 G2. May have to get both haha. Am I right in saying you can't adjust the speed/intensity of the effects...i.e faster/slower delay?
Yes. You can't adjust it, but there are 3 presets for each effect that you can toggle between by pressing the power button while holding the fx button.
Hey man, sorry to bother you. I don't know if you'll ever get back to me on this one but can I use the aux out for my. let's say, gaming headset and or computer channels or is it just for use on stereo headsets which I do not own. I'm one of those people to scared to buy something without knowing everything and these are a few things I'm still not 100 on.
The aux in is for connecting your phone and playing tracks. I am assuming you are talking about the headphone out. Not sure what you mean by computer channel, but I think a gaming headset would work. I have used it with in ear and over ear headphones. I think it will work as long as it has a 3.5mm connection. Hope that helps.
I just tried connecting it to my microphone in on my computer with my speakers connected and it didn't work. But if you have speakers, you should be able to connect those if it is 3.5mm
Hi, just don't use earphone but really headphones. I suggest you choose an headphone with a flat frequency response {{ example: Sony 7506 }} , but avoid headphone who has almost no bass freq (under 80Hz) and who compensate by over-increasing the low-medium (300Hz). {{ example : headphone from Beats }} .
Hi Kathy! We are all learning here. Feel free to ask anything and I'll try to answer what I know. If you just want to use this for practice and want a good clean sound, I would go with Vox. It can do some overdrive, but you have to change the settings a bit more. If you want flexibility of clean and gain sounds, I would go with Blackstar. It is a bit easier to change between the tones on the blackstar. If you want to experiment with effects or mix multiple effects together, I would go with the valeton.
@@GrowWithGuitar thanks a lot for explaining! i think ill go with vox. one more question, would this be able to fit into a 6.3mm jack? i know its only a 0.05mm difference, but id just like to play it safe since ive seen some people comment that the amplugs fall out after a few months of use.
For regular users, you just plug it in to your guitar and then plug in your headphones to the headphone output. You can see where the headphone output is in the control overview portion of the video.
This playlist has been a huge help in deciding which amplug to start with. I'm a beginner and appreciate videos like this. Earned a subscriber !

This is the BEST demo of this amp! Thanks for going through each setting, and even labeling the settings! You -> 😎

Doing what I can to keep improving.
Thanks for such a complete and structurized review of kinds of amplug 2. Helps to get to know what is it at all, valuable for choosing right.
Very good video. Clear, well organised, well-explained. I appreciate that you tried every steps for each command and each effect !
Thanks! Wasn't sure if I should test it in this way, but glad you found it helpful.

It does a very great job considering the price! Thanks :)
Yes it does! 😀
Great methodical overview thanks. Ivwonder how good it would work on my acoustic. Might be nice to have some of the fx thanks
GREAT TUTORIAL, you are great! This helps a lot!
Broooooo. Big thank you to you. I Just found These Things and was looking what to pic of the Variants.
Thanks for these reviews, going to buy clean probably but not with affiliate link unfortunately cuz amazon +20$ shipping in my country
No problem. Hope you enjoy the headphone amp.
Which model will work great with amplified classical guitar ? The clean model or the AC model? Thank you for your review 👍
Love ur works! Thank u!

The Vox website shows 2 drum modes for this amplug 2 but the instructions that came with mine don't explain how to access them.
There are no drum modes except for the bass model.
definitely good, thanks

Time to make a thank you video haha.
Outstanding video! BTW, you just made Vox a little richer. \m/

Well done mate ;)

can you use pedals with this amp?
Yes
what would be the best vox amplug to get if i wanted to play coldplay music?
Probably the classic rock.
What is the orange channel actually? A stimulation of Box cabinet? Please reply
Do the effect echo come in the plug ? And is it a nice delay with shiver ?
Hey. All the effects shown in the video are built in.
@@GrowWithGuitar is seems it’s a quick nice delay ? Even my box amp is to much of a delay on it
Can I use this and headphone for quiet playing? Or do i need something else too? Like blackfly 3? Im confused lmao
Hi, it can be used with Bass guitar?
Do the reverb dude!
I'm looking to use this on acoustic does it have reverb
Can I use on semi acoustic guitar?
How long is the battery life?

Great for my homemade 3 string electric guitar also I prefer clean amps for 50s music I mean just read my name
Awesome! That's cool you made your own guitar.
@@GrowWithGuitar I didn't make it my grandpa did
Also let me just say my homemade three string guitar is a beast when it comes to playing black metal
How would you use the amplug to play a long with headphones and a backing track i.e. mp3 or spotify playlists? Or is that not possible?
You could use either. There is an auxiliary input on the top. Left of the gain wheel control. You can connect your phone using a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable and use Spotify play lists or TH-cam. Anything really.

No. You need headphones to hear the sound or you can connect it to some external speakers.

@@GrowWithGuitar your welcome 😁
What kind of head phones can I use with this? Does it really matter?

The small tiny one that you plug into your laptop. 👍

please Try! do you hove amplug plexi bitoos ?
I don't think there is a plexi amplug.
i found this thing adds annoying noise to the audio. is it normal?
so the AC30 is the only one with tremolo?
Yes.

How you change the variation of the fx?
You change the fx variation by holding the powerbutton and then pressing the fx button.

I thought all of them were the same. I usually go by 1/4" and not mm. But that is 6.35mm.
you showed everything except how it hooks up. I know it plugs into the guitar but does it then hook to your amp?? not everyone knows how it hooks up
For regular users, you just plug it in to your guitar and then plug in your headphones to the headphone output. You can see where the headphone output is in the control overview portion of the video.
Did not notice any difference
