I'm a designer of amPlug series. Yes actually it's great if I can do that, but please remind it's yet SO HARD I install 3modes, EFFECT, analog circuit to this VERY small package. Please understand.^^
Hi, @masalee1024, what amp is the Clean amPlug based on? I really love my AC30 (both my amPlug and the real one), but of the amPlugs, I almost always am drawn towards the Clean one.
Hi Dusty Chalk, CLEAN has 3 modes. Both mode 1/2 is based on the Deluxe Reverb, and mode 1 is without a cabinet simulator, so you can get the pure clean sound. Mode 3 is a modified Fender, a wide range OD sound with an enough amount of a gain.
i once plugged one of those radio transmitter you usually use for your phone into my amplug, and tuned four cars to the same station. the whole parking lot was my amp!
Received “classic rock” last night as gift from daughter/son-in-law: what an amazing product in such a small package! Will be great to use when don t want to interfere with others in house/middle of night playing with headphones
This man's got range! Playing a flawless Third Eye Blind, soulful blue licks, and then right into a spot on Disturbed! Appreciate the video, I was just debating buying one of these and you've completely sold me. It's so weird that you called out those three at the end, because I'm was literally debating between Clean, Metal, and Classic Rock the entire second half of the video! 😅 Those three really stuck out to me as having a lot of fun options!
This is a great comparison demo, thanks so much for making this! I have the amplug bass version for my 4-string bass but until now I didn't know which guitar version I would be happy with, your demo really helped me understand the differences in sound. I love both the classic rock and the metal, might end up getting both!
If you thinking in buying one.. Dont think twice. They are amazing. At the end of the day you Just want to sit and chill with your guitar without making any noise this is Just perfect!!
I just got the blues one and I can confirm that the tones are more than decent. I actually liked more the distorsion tones but you can also get good clean tones with a bit of tweaks.
I think the blues one is the one i'm getting. Since u already have it, is it possible to get a heavy distorsion to sound some rock-like and make as well some good cleans with it?? Thanks!
i bought the vox ac30 amplug when it first came out like 12 years ago. worked great for a decade till it finally died. glad to see they stuck with it and came out with more models.
I've been a drummer for 40+ years, plink around on a bass I have, and just got a guitar recently. REALLY enjoying learning guitar, and think this would be great for late night practicing. It's a toss up between the AC30 and Classic Rock for me. Excellent review and playing my friend!!!! Thanks for making this video!!!
Really good comparison video and explanations! I had no idea these were sold by type. Super imposing the model at the top of your demo was perfect. Thanks!
Clean one sounds the best to me hands down. Plus playing on clean forces you to be more honest as it's easier to hear your mistakes so better for practicing imo
Hello Sir! Thanks for the review of ALL of them ! As most players, I have numerous amps yet still love the Vox sound and always liked the ac15 tube amp! thanks again! Mark
I think out of all of them if you just wanted to buy 1 , and want a clean tone with the versatility of adding crunch and some overdrive to it, get the classic rock for sure. The clean's are incredible and you can play with it to get a cool grungy sound to it and crank the gain to get a classic rock tone. I ended up picking up the metal variant as well just for personal taste, but lately I've been playing a lot of john mayer on the clean setting of the classic rock and it's been sounding sweet.
@@AyYoSteve I thought I'd like to grab an AC30 before I watched this man's video.. But now, I am also buying the blues one first. Then the metal one Then the clean one THEN THE AC30. Haha
@@MikeSabatella no not at all. You can definitely get good cleans from it. Versatile just like a normal ac30 you just might have to turn the volume up a little on the guitar and the mini amp just to get the output for a real full clean tone. But it's definitely worth a couple dial turns haha
Great review, I have Clean, Classic rock and AC30 , your review of the Clean helped me decide to buy it when I wanted something a bit different than the AC30
Years ago if you were this good at guitar, you would be headlining at some rock gig., now there seems to be so many amazingly talented guitarists and not enough bands!!
Thank you very much for the great comparison, and nice guitar skills. I'm a beginner and would like to have an additional headphone amp to practice on the go from time to time and now I know I'll be getting the Clean one. I think it's perfect for learning, you get: 1. super-clean 2. "tube-amp like" clean 3. A bit of overdrive. PD: If I would be in your country I'd buy it at your store.
Super video! Just what I wanted to see....all of them being demonstrated, and being demonstrated to the highlight the best of what they offer!!! Great job!! Oh well I've made up my mind which one I'm getting... ALL of them! :D
The green mode (or channel) in Amplug clean being without cabinet simulation is a clever idea. It brings more connectivity and versatility. Can be used like an on/off switch for a cab sim.
I’m surprised by how thick they made the binding near the neck of that guitar. I used to have one of these little plug ins years ago and it sounded pretty badass but turning the dials would make scratching sounds in the audio. Looks like they’ve improved them a lot since then.
Excellent review!!! I have the one for bass and was thinking of getting one for my guitar. This review made it easy for the one I'm going to get next. I might just collect them all eventually. Lol!!
THESE ARE AMAZING!!! I walk my dog 2 miles a day playing my strat with my Blues Vox and headphones. It's so great. I just walk around the house playing
I have the blues amplug. It’s great for when I want to play but I have to be quiet because the kids are sleeping or I’m in a hotel room. I use it with Marshall Major 2 headphone, excellent combo. No complaints here.
Thank you! Awesome comparison, really appreciate you posting this, your playing styles fit with each variant, gonna go with the “classic rock” because of your vid
Excellent. Thank you. I'm going to go with the AC30, and possibly get the classic rock later. I have heard that you can link it up with effect pedals. That should be interesting. Cheers 👍
great review and great playing as usual! \m/ Great video and sound quality again.. This could also be a video as training for how to do a review video =D
I bought the Amplug2 blues and I'm very happy with it, very versatile, I strongly recommend it as an headphone amp. I tried to record something but unfortunately the headphone out seems very noisy when plugged into my audio interface. How did you record these without that noise ? Do you have some filter or does your audio interface have less noise ?

Life saver
wow, someone who actually plays the correct styles of guitar relative to the amp being demonstrated. nice.
I was just thinking the same thing--context! What a novel idea! LOL :-)!!
Agreed. very good review. I may need to pick one of these up.
Heck yeah, I get so tired of hearing the same pentatonic blues licks over everything
so true
FOR REAL. I'm SOOO tired of blues rock riffs (I'm looking at you, andertons)
I hope Vox is paying you because you killed it in every way. Thanks
It's amazing how good these things sound considering their size.
Benjamin Wilkens just to clarify, they aren’t amps they are things your headphones go into to play without an ampb
Benjamin Wilkens you would recommend 10/10 times?
Vic Perez yes
@@poboypowder7567 Yes, they are amps. Just not the "amp" you probably visualize.
I’m aware, I own one
I thought this video would make it easier for me to decide which model I liked. They all have their charm. Thanks for the video.
vox should combine all in one amplug.easier for us dont have to choose.
I was gonna say, they just want your money.

Watched just short of 7 min. went on ebay and bought one. Seriously this is amazing and found for $35. THANK YOU for the demo
Which model did you get?
You know what this means? Run a long aux cord to your car and play anywhere!! That's pretty sweet
Matt Laurence or buy a chord adapter to plug your guitar chord so you don't have to buy two things
Viper vids gaming plus plugging a guitar alone into your radio wouldn’t do anything, you still need an amp to drive the guitar sound into the radio.
Matt Laurence anyone knows good quality headphone that can connect to amp? no mic
i once plugged one of those radio transmitter you usually use for your phone into my amplug, and tuned four cars to the same station. the whole parking lot was my amp!
Matt Laurence yup, I’ve done that to practice songs a few hours before a gig lol
One of the best YT demos I've ever seen. And killer playing. Much love!
I totally love the lead one and the metal one. The lead one has a lot of goodness
I'm listening through my headphones and it sounds great!
Received “classic rock” last night as gift from daughter/son-in-law: what an amazing product in such a small package! Will be great to use when don t want to interfere with others in house/middle of night playing with headphones
Pretty straightforward demonstration, and great presentation of style relevant to the amp/mode being tested. Exactly what I was looking for.
This dude deserves way more subscribers, think of all the great reviews we're missing out because he's not getting free shit like other TH-camrs

same dilemma haha have the bass one. thinking what to get for the guitar ahaha
How does a guitar sound through the bass version? I'm hoping it would sound decent for just a clean guitar tone -- not looking for any effects!
That clean blues jam at 4:57-5:24 was so cool. Loved it!
Absolutely great video! I was going to go for the ac30 but after watching this, I'm definitely getting the clean one. Thank you!
Video demonstrates the differences between the AmPlugs very well, with a talented musician that VOX should support. Well done!
Dude I think you just made the PERFECT amp comparison video.
Respect.
Doesn’t help me choose when you slay everything 😱. Dude 🤘
If you thinking in buying one.. Dont think twice. They are amazing. At the end of the day you Just want to sit and chill with your guitar without making any noise this is Just perfect!!
Amazing Review... The best part, guitar being played as per the amps

Blues one is the best for Scofield i think

These sound incredible for their size, might have to pick one or two up...
Awesome. Just discovered these last night. Nice to hear them all. May get them all
Clean one sounds the best to me hands down. Plus playing on clean forces you to be more honest as it's easier to hear your mistakes so better for practicing imo
That's what my dad says that it's harder playing like that because it doesn't have all these extra sounds helping you out lol
One of the best demo videos I've seen, handy links for comparison. Outstanding playing.
Best video I've seen on the subject so far. Thank you.
Man, amazing range of music styles and great playing. Awesome demo.
Blue Orange and Red channels, AC30 Green were my favorite sounding ones.
thanks this gave me exactly what I wanted to know about each model, and really enjoyed hearing you play too!
Answered my questions, very helpful. But now I can't decide. Probably going to grab the blues and just palm mute alot. Thank you.
I had the same dilemma. I’m a metal head but I like the classic rock one of these better than the metal. Just gonna palm mute a fuck ton
Wow the dedication in this video is amazing. Dude really played the whole spectrum 😲 So Thanks guys this was so helpful to make purchase decisions!
Lol how could you decide to buy which one? I like all of them 😂
What a chill dude. Nice playing, too. 😄

Love my bass version. It’s really great for jamming along with songs. 5 stars from me!

Great demo & nice playing, thanks! I’ve just bought the Clean one with the Cab and I’m very happy with its sound!
Rui Grilo sir what kind of cab , through which I can play in my bedroom volume with its full character?I'm a beginner, thank you
Anjan Bhadra vox also has a tiny cab that goes with this product, just Google it
Does the clean one output ipod accompaniment in stereo, or mono? Thanks.

Your playing made these tools sound great. Nice video . Vox would be very happy if they saw this demo.
I run the headphone out into my hifi system. Sounds great. Amazing tone for the price.

Great help in choosing(and great playing)....Thank you
Clean, Classic and AC30 stands out for me. Blues almost there
Super helpful review, except now I think I want a few of these

For real wasn’t expecting
I think the AC30, Blues and Lead Amplugs are the best. But these seem like really cool little devices!!
Which is the most versatile for playing a little bit of everything?
Ac30 😺
Awesome demo didn't know there was a clean option SOLD!

We never had noise issues....headphone out into interface, that's it....interface is an Audient ID14....
Never mind, I used another cable and it got rid of the noise. It sounds great.
Hi, can you tell us if it includes any fx or what controls it has ?
Your reviews are great and so useful for us - you save us all time and money - Thanks so much
Very good reviews; nice playing per amp. Good job!
Incredibly helpful! Came into this video figuring I'd get AC30. Left the video sold on Blues. Runner-up would be Clean.
Great video, man. Your playing is bloody excellent. ^-^
