The Vox amPLug 2 series is a convenient headphone amp for guitarist who want to practice silently and on the go. Just grab a pair of headphones and plug them into the amPlug which is then plugged into the guitar! They come in 6 different variants; and we decided to compare all of the models!

This is a great comparison demo, thanks so much for making this! I have the amplug bass version for my 4-string bass but until now I didn't know which guitar version I would be happy with, your demo really helped me understand the differences in sound. I love both the classic rock and the metal, might end up getting both!

I'm a designer of amPlug series. Yes actually it's great if I can do that, but please remind it's yet SO HARD I install 3modes, EFFECT, analog circuit to this VERY small package. Please understand.^^
Hi, @masalee1024, what amp is the Clean amPlug based on? I really love my AC30 (both my amPlug and the real one), but of the amPlugs, I almost always am drawn towards the Clean one.
Which is best for blues
Hi Dusty Chalk, CLEAN has 3 modes. Both mode 1/2 is based on the Deluxe Reverb, and mode 1 is without a cabinet simulator, so you can get the pure clean sound. Mode 3 is a modified Fender, a wide range OD sound with an enough amount of a gain.

Viper vids gaming plus plugging a guitar alone into your radio wouldn’t do anything, you still need an amp to drive the guitar sound into the radio.

i once plugged one of those radio transmitter you usually use for your phone into my amplug, and tuned four cars to the same station. the whole parking lot was my amp!

Appreciate the video, I was just debating buying one of these and you've completely sold me. It's so weird that you called out those three at the end, because I'm was literally debating between Clean, Metal, and Classic Rock the entire second half of the video! 😅 Those three really stuck out to me as having a lot of fun options!

i bought the vox ac30 amplug when it first came out like 12 years ago. worked great for a decade till it finally died. glad to see they stuck with it and came out with more models.

I've been a drummer for 40+ years, plink around on a bass I have, and just got a guitar recently. REALLY enjoying learning guitar, and think this would be great for late night practicing.
