    I love that tricep pressdown attachment with the chains and the fact that I used it there about a month ago when we came and trained was that homemade I'm guessing we can't find anything like that in the West Side Store

    Coker did about 500lbs raw there at a bodyweight of around 198lbs. Not to mention we don't know what they were doing before this lift, so that's very impressive. People often wondered how much his raw bench is without the multiply shirt when he set the 900lbs record, so here's some relative evidence. I'd say he was capable of around 550lbs fresh @198.

      His multi bench around the time of this vid was Iirc mid-800s so still hitting 500lb even when a decent bit off his strongest

    I have one question, for ME upper body, the bench press should be performed with over 90% of 1RM with the same amount of weight for every sets or the weight should be increased instead ?

    • @maximummomo8210
      @maximummomo8210 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tanapat Sanguthai They change the main lift every training session.
      They will do a heavy single this week and do a triple on incline next week.

    • @tanapatsanguthai1805
      @tanapatsanguthai1805 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So, they do heavy bench press tis week, and then next week they do incline ?

    • @Dr_Footbrake
      @Dr_Footbrake 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tanapat Sanguthai max effort = 100% aka one rep max. You change the variation of the lift whenever you can't hit a new or (as a beginner), then every week as you get more experienced

      Ideally, something like 92%, 97%, 102% (break PR by 5-10 lbs). 3 singles in the 90 percentile range.

      Doug Young basically did the same thing and he wa sthe first sub 300 lber to bench 600 raw i believe. his routine was a tonne of singles alternated by another bench routine.

      What seems to happen in Westside is that they have a basic template, but the strongest people training tend to dictate what goes on. Follow the strong guy:)

    I am in my 50s. But just saying, up till my late 40s (life time natural lifter in Canada) I could still bench 505 raw NEVER haven taken anything more than creatine. Had a 670 squat and 650 deadlift at 245 pounds bodyweight. You can get strong drug free, BUT, it takes time ( you will gain some bodyfat) and consistency. Took me 10 years to go from a 300 bench to 505...gained 20 pounds a year on the bench...for tens years in a row. In my mid 50s after taking 6 years off for going back to school first time touching a weight could still get 225 for 20reps. Stay natural. Stay real. And stay away from the dopers. Remember, all you're doing in the gym is moving inanimate objects...there's MORE to life than moving inanimate objects.
