    A lot of people hate on westside and equipped powerlifting yet fail to understand most of the knowledge and equipment we now have available to us came from Louie and westside. Raw or equipped I'll put money on the lifters from westside any day of the week.

    I have a question. When training low box squat (1 to 3 inches below parallel) in DE or ME days, do you train it with a close stance? Or do you still use a wide stance? Thanks for the answer.

      We do both ways, close and wide stances. Close stance helps for lower back more. Wide stance is for glutes and hips.

      When your using close stance does the rules still apply by pushing your glutes back and having your shins vertical?

    I noticed that you guys are doing more than doubles on dynamic squat work lately. What's the reason for the change?

      Frank winbigler repetition method. Not only works speed but also just more overall hypertrophy and strength gains

    Can westside be used for a raw lifter? Would it be recommended?

      yeah I would recommend it as long as the main lifts are done raw

    do most people at westside pull sumo? or was that the days variation?

      +Matt some people prefer sumo, some are better in conversional. But for training we use both styles.

      +William Aubin average lifts are about: squat 800, bench 600, deadlift 700. You need to talk with Louie.

      +William Aubin Do not worry about numbers. Come in Westside just for visit and show what you can do. Louie only can answer for you because Westside Barbell is his gym.
