Other covers she can smile and interact with her viewers and thats cool and what we love about her but when it's a tough piece she really digs in and I love that too.
Just like Yoyokas' drumming, I think you NAILED the commentary my friend! Getting back "in the groove" after mixing it up like she AND Mr. Bonham do with absolutely NO lazy hands, rim shots, cymbil miss hits, etc MOST drummers (Bonham & Yoyoka aside) would find IMPOSSIBLE! This little girl BLOWS ME AWAY just like Mr. Bonham did when I was a teenager! AMAZING!......

Couldn't be any better! Now that she's tackled this monster I crown her my Queen of Drums👑 Great reaction... coffee mug in hand on my birthday!!! THANKS ANDREW 💯
The thing I love about Yoyoka, compared to some other young drummers I've watched is that she never seems to be concerned about putting on a show, which is not to say she's not entertaining because she definitely is, but without any pretense. She is alllll about the music, not how she's presenting herself. I hope she never changes.
I never thought I would hear such a cover of Achilles last stand by Led Zep, thank you, thank you, thank you, Yoyoka, you're the best, I'm really speechless. Thank you Andrew for those great comments always interesting to hear from you.
Her cover of Black Dog is jaw-dropping. She even adds an outtake where she drops a drumstick and still manages to hit the cymbal with her hand and continues the take.
Oh Andrew, it’s more appropriate to say Nandi did a Yoyoka with the Foo Fighters. Yoyoka played with other bands long before Nandi did her first stick twirl or first celebrity drum off. And I think Robert Plant already offered her a job at 8 yrs. old.
Great review!!! I always enjoy your reaction to Yoyoka. Regarding doing a "Nandi", Yoyoka has already done quite a several other well known bands live, but it would be great to see her with Led Zeppelin, or Rush, or Deep Purple, or Queen, or any other band she's covered. 😁
Andrew is the kind of TH-camr that strip-mines other people's content to create his own content. The ONLY thing he knows about either Nandi or Yoyoka is what he's covered. He does next to no research outside of the time it takes to post and comment on a video and therefore has no real clue as to Yoyoka's accomplishments or accolades. That's what happens when you only post videos based on your Patreon subscribers, I suppose.
@@jackspratt7264 I think youre being a bit too harsh on Andrew, though your point about his limited "background knowledge" is probably accurate. Yoyoka has been playing REGULAR PROFESSIONAL gigs since she was 4 or 5. That may be a slightly favorable take on the situation. However, it is an indisputable fact that her parents are professional musicians who make a living from live shows, and it is also an indisputable fact that Yoyoka started "sitting in" at age 3, and by age 5 or 6 she was one of the top reasons why people would show up to Kaneaiyoyoka performances. So yeah . . . whereas Nandi did get a chance to play live with a "big" band recently, Yoyoka has been doing that since her single-digits (At 9 she played with X Japan, and at 10 she played with Cyndi Lauper).
This girl is a different level to Nandi. She gets Bonham’s feel. She gets everyone’s feel. She plays deeply in the pocket. She’s a musical phenomenon and I wish she had a genius band around her.
@@markemerson8399 likely neither - in a good way. She's demonstrated a commitment to becoming a band drummer over being a chops drummer, although obviously she's in control of the technical side. Her attention to detail has always been incredible.
I am a fan of both the girls. From a drummer technical perspective Yoyoka is clearly ahead, however there a lot of buts. First of all there will be enough room for the both of them in the industry because they spread quality, love and joy. Second of all they have to go through puberty, you never know what that does to a person; it is all about preserving the fun. Third of all we do not know the development of their capacity to write original music. There are few like Pau Villarrreal. Music is not only art it is also business. Marketability is important and that is something you have to take in mind also. Finally there is something like taste. When I compare Moriah Formica (Plush) to Dany Villerreal (The Warning). From a technical point of view Moriah is the better singer, but I would always choose Dany above Moriah because of the soul in her voice, personality, stage presence, sense of spacing in arrangements and last but not least integrating the vocals in the entire sound of the band. Maybe Plush will get bigger than The Warning maybe not. At the end of the day I hope they both will be big. It is a great period for young female musicians to stand up and show their talent. Funny thing is that the kids under 10 are already knocking on the door: Gabe H, Kii and EllenPlaysBass are a few examples. Long live music for any talent and Andrew to react!
Great video as always Andrew. I really like this performance from Yoyoka: quite a different, moody and technical song. Her limb independence in some sections of this one is amazing to me!
She's only 11 wow! She already did a "Nandi" with Fall Out Boy at Summer Sonic 2019. They only practiced once in their dressing room and she went out and killed it. The vid is on YT.
@@ronlawrence4706 oh there’s nothing to correct. I agreed with what you’ve said. I just emphasized that it’s the other way around when it comes with the 2 girls.
It is so impressive how she can play fills and come back to the groove while maintaining the same incredible feel with no wavering in the transition from fill back to the groove. It's all seemless, all with the same great feel. That's how pro's play. And it's especially great how she can shift easily to a slow triplet feel and back to a duple feel, and the slower triplet grooves just as hard as everything before and after. That's awesome!
I was thinking the same thing - that it would be great to see her on stage with Page, Plant and Jones. Although, I'd settle for seeing her with Foo Fighters, Them Crooked Vultures, QOTSA, one of Jack White's projects, one of Les Claypool's... or a good band comprising other young and/or Japanese and/or female musicians of comparable abilities. She is just so good. Just wow.
You were talking about her snare tone. I'm assuming whatever you are hearing is intentional and very planned out. She seems to know (or feel) just what type of sound she wants from her snares, and then simply achieves it. She did this 38 Min video lesson last year, that you might enjoy (I know it's long, but it is packed with Yoyoka awesomeness...LOL) ""9 Snares Comparison" Yoyoka Drum course #35" th-cam.com/video/VtcQ5GthRxY/w-d-xo.html Of course she goes into great detail on each snare, what it is made of, it's thickness and dimensions, and a description of the type of sound it produces. As she describes each snare, before moving on to the next one, she plays the same set of licks or patterns on each snare, and includes various dynamics in the demonstration. She plays the same beats on each snare to offer you a way to easily compare them. Brilliant teacher for such a young lady! After all that, she goes to her kit and places each snare in her kit and plays another sample on each snare as it would sound in the kit. I'm not even a musician, but I found it most fascinating!
I've watched that entire series and it's great. I love the one where she explains "here's the way Bonzo plays it, here's the way I play it, here's another way to play it, here's an easier way to play it... I believe she was 8 at the time. I remember that as the moment I started taking her seriously.
@@racebiketuner Yes, she's amazing, even as a teacher. One of my favorites is where she looks into the camera and says "Now pay attention!" and tells her dad "Point the camera over here". Have you seen Wave Potter's video "29 year old drummer SCHOOLED on ‘Kick Triplets’ by Yoyoka Soma" th-cam.com/video/0dwoxN1lWP8/w-d-xo.html It's hilarious, about one of her lessons. He has mad respect for her as do we all!
I'm glad you did this song. It has always been one of my favorite drum performances. A great tempo and amazing fills. Of course I have listened to the album 100 or more times, but when someone mentions Bonham, I think Achilles Last Stand.
She is something else. I would love to see how she tackles a new song and digests it because the way she ends up recreating it is pretty awesome. I guess what I’m saying is I would like to see some Yoyoka outtakes.
There is a vid on it, Rooney goes over it….she says she can learn a easy song in 3 tries lol, I have to go through all 12 keys to begin to learn the chords in a song….
She includes one in her recent cover of Black Dog, when she drops a stick towards the end of a take and still manages to hit the cymbal with her free hand and continue the take. Epic!
@@michaeltaylor8835 not so my friend. She says she listens to the song until she has it memorized maybe 2 or 3 times and then works out her own tweaks. But if you intend to say she is mind blowing at memorization oh you are so right. Just look at the memorization needed to play AND sing all parts of Here There and Everywhere by the Beatles. All instruments and multiple vocal tracks. Stunning!
She did a live stream improv session a day or so after releasing this last week. She said she played it four times in a row, all 10 minutes, until she got this take right.
@@AndrewRooneyDrums "Dare I say she could do a Nandi"??? (smh) Robert Plant said that Yoyoka could play with Zeppelin if she had tutors for the road and her parents came along, after seeing her play only ONE TIME and he was dead serious, no hyperbole. He said that nearly 4 years ago when Yoyoka won "Hit Like a Girl" in 2018 for her "Good Times, Bad Times" submission to their contest. She was 8 at that time. Nandi Bushell is a lot of things, but a good drummer she is not. Critically speaking Yoyoka and Nandi aren't on the same playing field. Yoyoka's concern when playing the drums is the music. Nandi's concern when playing the drums, is Nandi and the spectacle that comes with that. She's excellent at marketing herself and at the gimmicky side of performing. But as a drummer she lacks discipline, is notorious for her theatrics over her ability and the girl couldn't find the pocket if she was sewn into one. Nandi covers songs in 1 to 2 min increments, seldom the entire piece. When she does her desire to be showy over holding a solid beat dominates her efforts. Meanwhile Yoyoka is tackling 10 minute epics, dance club bangers, hidden Prince classics and her own multi-instrumental renditions of The Beatles and Ed Sheeran. But everyone is going crazy because of Nandi's publicity marketed "feud" with Dave Grohl that led to her playing with the Foo Fighters recently. Huge for her and another great gimmick and marketing scheme to help boost her career. Bravo, but it hasn't spoken a lick to her growth as a musician. Meanwhile Yoyoka first played in front of a crowd of over 8000 people when she was 8. She played UNACCOMPANIED by another drummer with some of the biggest names in Japanese rock history on that day. At the time she'd already had over 150 live performances under her belt, having played in her family band at that point for 3 years. For comparison I urge you to go back and look at what Nandi was posting on her TH-cam channel in that same era. Since then Yoyoka has been a featured guest a NAMM, taught drum clinics in Osaka, played in front of 20,000 people, (again UNACCOMPANIED) with "Fallout Boy" in Tokyo in the fall of 2019 and in front of a crowd of 10,000 with Cyndi Lauper that same year in addition to performing with Japanese model "Bambi Watanabe" at the Tokyo Girls Collection fashion show. That was the the 2nd year Yoyoka was invited I might add and the 2nd year she performed. Early the next year Drummer World's CEO and Publisher personally inducted her into the Top 500 Drummers of ALL TIME list for their magazine in 2020. Nandi Bushnell is nowhere on that list and it should be obvious why. In the years leading up to the opportunities and accolades that would soon come, Yoyoka was honing her skills and letting her personal growth as a drummer speak to her pedigree, while Nandi was perfecting her stick twirls and outfit selection instead of her rudiments. So, when you state, Andrew, that Yoyoka (like Nandi lol) could play with a big band like Zeppelin... 4 YEARS AFTER Robert Plant said the same thing in earnest and 2 YEARS AFTER she's already played in Tokyo with 2 huge American musical acts while Nandi was doing bad 1 min covers on her TH-cam channel, well you can see why some of us find it hard to take you seriously.
@@jackspratt7264 To add on to what you say, I would like to remind everyone that she's visiting Professor Yoyoka Soma at the IU. There's a reason she was given that honorary title. Sadly, I doubt Nandi would ever be in that tier. So, yeah, I can't really accept Yoyoka "doing a Nandi". She's long past that level.
@@jackspratt7264 I agree. I’m glad you said that. And might I add that on Nandi’s ‘drum’ posts, they turned off the comment features while the ‘achievement’ posts were not. I wished they’re more consistent. Nandi or her parents priorities seem to differ with Yoyoka’s. And you could see the difference. And yeah, I was disappointed when Andrew said that. I’m like, ‘are you serious, really?’ Maybe a research on his part without being ‘requested’ for it would be nice. Or maybe the amount of Yoyoka requests should’ve been a clue. Hopefully he reads your comment so he would know half of Yoyoka’s CV.
@@iFoneVids And that's not even half of her CV. lol But nah, Andrew reads these posts he just doesn't respond. I call him out too often on things like this. So, this post is really for people like you, Rahim and others who shake their heads in disbelief when they hear Andrew talking out of his ass. But as far as "research" goes, don't expect any from him anytime too soon. This is a "drum teacher" who somehow wasn't familiar with some of the most legendary drummers to have ever lived BEFORE he made a "reaction" video to someone else covering their songs; a Patreon request no doubt. (smh) But who am I to talk? If Andrew actually started to look into Yoyoka's history and watch her videos, because he appreciates her drumming, then he wouldn't be able to monetize her content on this channel. So, he stays clueless, compares her to drummers who have lesser ability as though she is the one who needs to catch up and waits for his Patreon users to buy another Yoyoka reaction. No one does anything for wonderment or pure interest anymore. It is what it is.
So impressive! Have loved watching these videos. Doesn’t hurt that this is one of my favorite LZ songs. Also loved your reaction to the live at Knebworth performance. Thx!
Masterclass reaction imho, so much information you pass through Andrew. As already said I am not a Bonham addict. So to learn from your input, his strength is added value for me!! I watched the versions of this song of Bonham, Chad Smith (live), Matt Cameron (Temple of the Dog with Chris live!) and Yoyoka. She passes the test of comparison certainly taking in mind how she will play this in ten years which would be a more logical comparison from a physical perspective. Especially her way of giving the swing on her hihatt is to me so tasty. You took the words right of my mouth on her playing with the original 3 members; that would be something! Have a great weekend, you and Yoyo gave it to us.
What’s also difficult about emulating John Bonham’s style; in many songs he was a microsecond of a beat behind where most drummers live. There was an almost imperceivable lag with Bonham’s groove that made Bonham, Bonham. We drummers have a tendency to live on the beat.
Just want to give an early thanks. And if you haven't seen it maybe view the Led Zeppelin live version from Knebworth 1979. Thank again for taking the suggestion 😃.
I saw them in 1977 on this tour the presence album and his playing live in incredible now Her playing impeccable I've play drums and it took me some time to learn it a very busy song those cymbals fills 4 -5 at a time the timing sequences from about 1minute or so before pages solo the change from being in the that standard rythm the flow and when you kinda get back there it's a snare tom full and three symbol hits she is so fun to watch and listen too there is thing going on over in Japan I'm 61 yrs old and more and more I see the are starting to really take a dominant role in rock and metal junna another great player if you haven't seen it yet the drum cover she did for good times bad times Robert Plant does a reaction to it well it's good to know that rock or metal any of is in absolute great hands JC Austin TX
I've been looking through the comments for someone to field my question. I've played to this song about 50 times maybe, as a teenager. Do you think that her kick pattern during the verses is what Bonham played on the recording? I played it to follow Jones' pick pattern. She did a bit of that during 2:15 to 2:25, but used snare ghost shots where I used bass kicks.
Great job Andrew! Thanks for taking the time to explain all the nuances that most of us had no idea about! Yoyoka: "I agree with Andrew. This song was really long. I think I need some milk and cookies now!"
Plenty of Yoyoka in this Female drummer Playlist | th-cam.com/play/PLqspKksRqaUU_TVB6TjBsq5iTqcxcoQn7.html And please go along and support her by subbing! th-cam.com/users/kaneaikaneai
I couldn't concentrate on 11 mins of Scooby Doo when I was that age, I would like to think the young lady has time to climb trees or make a collection out of something stupid. as well as her achievements. These days are priceless.
If we're talking about real-deal musician kids, take look at Chloe Chua, violinist extraordinaire with Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Just turned 16. I would put her at YOYOKA's level, although it's evident from a different perspective, the violin being a front-of-the-stage instrument. But the acknowledgement and respect are there, in direct proportion to the talent.
Yes, thank you for the review. I noticed a nice delayed arch swing of her wrist at 12:19-12:20 on the symbol crash. From a non-drummer perspective, it just looked cool. At 15:01 was an amazing set of hits and your expression says everything. I think she has a secretly embedded oven temperature controlled quartz oscillator keeping the timing. What do you think, Andrew?
If you want to learn that smooth whip like flow it is in tia chi. ive only been using a practice pad a couple of weeks but after years of tia chi (excuse the spelling) the one thing i can do is hit the pad whith whip like strokes . You can actually begin to internalize the whip like motion creating a lot of power with little movement
To elaborate for those who may want to try this, the whip like stroke, it actually starts at the bodys core if you over accentuate the motion twisting the body back then forward and alowing that to travel through the arm would equal one stroke but thats a lot of motion. you can with practice condense this down (internalize) this motion to a twitch within the core ie (allthe bodys weight would be behind each drum stroke). In tia chi this motion would be directed through the legs so the whole bodys weight would be behind it
Enjoyable to see how comfortable he is. Can you imagine how awesome we will be in a few more years. Good luck as we definitely have a bright future ahead. 🌹
I dunno, just an impression...she is absolutely fantastic -- as always -- but I don't get the same sense of pure joy that made her such a treasure. In "Good Times, Bad Times," she had great delight in pleasing the videographer. Now, she has morphed into an industry, and she seems more concerned with not being disappointing. It's a subtle difference, but I feel it viscerally
....this may be the best Yoyoka video to date. Maybe its just bias as this is my fave Zep song, but she's showcasing ALL her skills here. I'm definitely watching the o.g. video after this! And I have no clue how I missed this originally....going on a year later...
Stevie ray Vaughan.....was born ... guitar in hand .... little miss Yoko.......drum sticks in hand .... reason being.......born to play ........god bless you.....and i absolutely mean that...... coming from a hard nose rocker..........and proud of it.......
Matt garstka has some new stuff out with Josh Victoria. And it is absolutely wonderful got to check it out. And clowncore!!! You will not be let down, I promise! LOL.
Seriously, one take? No door bell, no dog, no well intentioned loved one thinking it’s ok to interrupt since I’m only bringing you tea 😂….and I love the respect given to patiently waiting out the end of the song…..when my part is over, I’m like, “ ok everyone, what’s next?” 🤣🤣🤣
Haha....Andrew's being from NZ would have nothing to do with that. I was born in NZ in the mid '60s and grew up hearing Led Zep' fucking EVERYWHERE through the '70s and up to today. Maybe it just wasn't his style of music. We may be smallish, and far, far away...but we're not in the stone age. Shit, we even had Pizza Hut in the 1970s!😉
Aside from the Lenny Kravitz video when that beautiful goddess drummer stole the show and then David Paul and I mean I was all into metal in the early 80s I always dreamed of becoming a drummer I never had the ballz to take it up. I’m not dead yet so I’m not giving up I think it is the most passionate exciting freaking beautiful pure raw artform. It’s hi Art it’s everything it’s beautiful it’s who doesn’t wish they could do this let me just ask you that who doesn’t wish they could bring this much joy and all of the things and I have a position in your life where you can do this? And that’s your thing? seems like heaven
That's the thing about Yoyoka. You really think she should be playing in a band with other extremely talented adult musicians and then you realize that she's still only 11 years old (very soon 12) and is really just a kid. It's just not really right for a little kid to be touring with a bunch of seen-it-all-done-it-all rock'n roll adults. It's a strange conundrum. It's hard to get your brain wrapped around all that incredible very adult-level talent that she has, but yet she is still very much a child.
It's been noted by fans commenting on her channel that some people don't seem to appreciate her talent, but fortunately they are vastly outnumbered by those of us that do.
This is very strange. Before the broadcast there were 5 thumbs down and now after half an hour after the broadcast only 2. This is the strength of a great reactor.
Probably Nandi fans. Coz I would understand it more if it was a thumbs down after the vid. Anyway, they’re the minority since we all know that Yoyoka’s the real deal.
@@markearnest3570 oh Nandi’s great for an 11 yr. old. Better than other drummers older than her. But with saying that, there’s no contest or competition between the 2 girls. I might be bias but I think many will agree that Yoyoka is well beyond Nandi or even other ‘pro’ drummers out there. For me, I based it from their output and there’s a huge discrepancy. As for your question about YT and kids. There’s always been kid geniuses way before YT existed. As for Yoyoka, she’s not a product of it. She’s one of the instances that I’m grateful that the platform exist for us to discover her. Coz even without it, I’m pretty sure she’ll still be killing it on the drums even if it’s just for fun or playing with her family. With Nandi on the other hand, I guess that’s a question for her dad. Anyway, both seem like good kids just different family and professional priorities. 🙂
Great vid! You should check out Sebastian Lancer at Meinl Cymbals playing through ‘’Sermon of the seven suns’’ by Obscura! Amazing display of technique, musicality and orchertrational ideas🙌🏼 keep the great content coming🔥
Sorry, so quintuple meter is one extra beat in the space of four? I play guitar, that seems crazy…is it like when I play a blues rhythm and I’m playing trips with the middle one silent?
Nice analysis of her amazing natural talent. The spirit of John Bonham reincarnated...precisely. I could listen to her for the rest of my life...and I will.

Oh Andrew, it’s more appropriate to say Nandi did a Yoyoka with the Foo Fighters. Yoyoka played with other bands long before Nandi did her first stick twirl or first celebrity drum off. And I think Robert Plant already offered her a job at 8 yrs. old.
Yoyoka is Such a Pleasure to Watch !! 🥁
Those off-beat hi-hat swings are going way back past her shoulder and yet so crisp and precise! Jesus.
Killin' it!
It will be very interesting to see what direction she heads in, whether so becomes a 'nasty' rock star, or a virtuoso.
@@saltyshowers9356 agreed. I just wish Yoyoka had the exposure she deserves
I agree. Yoyoka is a whole nutter level better than
This is such an amazing cover by Yoyoka. Their are No words to express the remarkable talent of this young soul. This was another amazing reaction.
I LOVE watching her. She's got SO MUCH GROOVE. Again Andy, your channel is the best !!!
Thanks so much!
She's freaking killin' it
She is a little powerhouse!
This just blows my mind
Me too Vaughan
She is something else hey, and what a great track to highlight her skill. I love that song it's just so intense
Great video as always Andrew. I really like this performance from Yoyoka: quite a different, moody and technical song. Her limb independence in some sections of this one is amazing to me!
Glad you dug it Alastair!
She's only 11 wow! She already did a "Nandi" with Fall Out Boy at Summer Sonic 2019. They only practiced once in their dressing room and she went out and killed it. The vid is on YT.
Yep, almost 12 (some time this month I believe).
I think, it’’s more accurate to say that Nandi did a ‘Yoyoka’ with the Foo Fighters since it happened before. Yoyoka also played with Cyndi Lauper.
@@iFoneVids I stand corrected.
@@ronlawrence4706 oh there’s nothing to correct. I agreed with what you’ve said. I just emphasized that it’s the other way around when it comes with the 2 girls.
Im glad you coverd this vid mt, iv said it before and im gona say it again, 100 per cent bad ass rock drummer.
Just wow.
I would also like to see her with RATM. I doubt (I hope not) we’ll see her with Foo Fighters. They seem so in love with another 11 yr. old.
Unfortunately, Jimmy Page lost his chops years ago.
or a good band comprising other young and/or Japanese and/or female musicians of comparable abilities. th-cam.com/video/mIsNTPz3bqs/w-d-xo.html
Yes !...as you say, explicit in every detail, she manages to always get the points across with style, flash and flair...the ideal teacher !
The motion is martial... like Aikido. It focuses energy at a very specific place.
Epic!
She normally listen to it once thats all
@@michaeltaylor8835 not so my friend. Stunning!
Andrew!! Please do Yoyoka covering Deep Purples, Speed King!! Mind blowing speed and accuracy
following the Ian Paice legacy.
I agree. Phenomenal
yes indeed..please ..Speed King Andrew?thanx in advance..? :)
Sounds great! Thanks Randy
One take😮
She did a live stream improv session a day or so after releasing this last week. She said she played it four times in a row, all 10 minutes, until she got this take right.
That's pure discipline and work ethic right there Andy!
@@AndrewRooneyDrums "Dare I say she could do a Nandi"??? (smh)
Robert Plant said that Yoyoka could play with Zeppelin if she had tutors for the road and her parents came along, after seeing her play only ONE TIME and he was dead serious, no hyperbole.
@@iFoneVids And that's not even half of her CV. lol
But nah, Andrew reads these posts he just doesn't respond.
(smh)
But who am I to talk?
So much attention is given to her bass drumming which is justifiably merited but I think her hi hat work was always phenomenal even at 6 yrs old.
I'm still patiently waiting for her to cover 'Fool in the Rain'
Look up Sina Drums. She did a nice job on that cover!
Andrew already did that. Enjoy: th-cam.com/video/UC9AU8FO09I/w-d-xo.html

Yoyoka is amazing! Has great timing 😊
💯👌
I couldn't concentrate on 11 mins of Scooby Doo when I was that age, I would like to think the young lady has time to climb trees or make a collection out of something stupid. as well as her achievements. These days are priceless.
this is her climbing trees, look at her face when she is playing- all there
I love Scooby!
There are child prodigies who play piano, violin, cello, etc and then there's.... Yoyoka. 🥁 👍🏻😎
I bought the Tie Fighter, but now you have ECTO-1? That one is a little out of my price range. Now I have Lego envy. Oh and yeah, Yoyoka for life! ✊
Was hoping for this
Yes, thank you for the review.
Her Bonham Feel is INSANE
That pop she gets on her snare.
Besides whatever snare or heads, that arm/hand/wrist just gets that solid pop.
She is fabulous!
Yes Julie!
That's it Steven.
In tia chi this motion would be directed through the legs so the whole bodys weight would be behind it
Impressive indeed 😎👏👏👏👍🏻🥂
Enjoyable to see how comfortable he is. Can you imagine how awesome we will be in a few more years. Good luck as we definitely have a bright future ahead. 🌹
Her timing drumming to Black Dog seems really good to me.
This is Robert Plants favorite Zep song according to Bonham's son. I wish he could see this. She's amazing.
Sooo good Tanis!
Andrew Rooney- the joe rogan of drum podcasts 🤘 greetings from Scotland!
This kid is frecken awsome !!.
Yes Dennis!
....this may be the best Yoyoka video to date. Maybe its just bias as this is my fave Zep song, but she's showcasing ALL her skills here. I'm definitely watching the o.g. video after this!
And I have no clue how I missed this originally....going on a year later...
I can only imagne Bonzo sitting up there and grinning from ear to ear, thinking "at last someone get's it"......

you were really deprived being from New Zealand, you missed both Led Zeppelin and Rush early in your life possibly two of the best drummers ever
To be such a seasoned drummer at such a young age
She's killin' it
Never puts a foot wrong
Don't read through the comments on her original video. There was some expert on there who was saying it was an easy cover song. :(
One of those experts with no subs and no videos on their own channel?
Just a wild guess...
Saw a comment on another channel that said Yoyoka's birthday and the day Bonham was buried are the same month and day. I thought that was pretty wild.
That motion starts at the shoulder. Think of your arm as a bull whip. The action moves down the arm in a wave motion
The same with throwing a soft ball like a whip .
5 👎 and it hasn’t even premiered yet!?! What’s wrong with these people? SMH
Not sure what's going on!?
I have plenty other vids to watch if not happy with the pick!

Sorry, so quintuple meter is one extra beat in the space of four? I play guitar, that seems crazy…is it like when I play a blues rhythm and I’m playing trips with the middle one silent?

When she was seven, Robert Plant said he knew where she could find a job. All she would need were her parents and a tutor.
Nice analysis of her amazing natural talent. The spirit of John Bonham reincarnated...precisely. I could listen to her for the rest of my life...and I will.
Thanks for watching Raymond!!
