One time, I used Dukes on half the bun and cheese wiz on the other half. 💪🏻 Guests and family were very pleased. Thank you.
You can mayo in Philly and no one is gonna care. You can even request extra mayo too. You can also request BBQ sauce if you want since many Philly places that sell cheesesteaks also sell wings with BBQ sauce so that option is available

Amen to that opening comment. This is your recipe PERIOD! I cook for our fire house monthly mtg. up to 60 people and I love it. But I do get comments you didn’t put this in it or I like it with this in it. But they are the first ones in the kitchen for a taste test. We call these taste testers Seagulls. Keep up the great presentations I love it.

Bro, I agree with you. I make my cheese steaks similarly- Ribeye-seasoned with Blackstone Steakhouse seasoning, grilled sweet onions, sweet peppers, melted provolone, toasted buns with some garlic aioli, topped with some pepperoncini's. BOMB!
I totally agree Hussey! The Philly is a good guide but there is always room for improvement. What you made looks absolutely delicious and I like the mayo idea. Great video brother 👍
Them are some good groceries. I agree with you. A cheesesteak is your preferred meat, seasoned, bells, onions if you want and cheese of choice. Mayo is optional, Hell even in Philly some need ketchup for a dipping type sauce. To me, the roll is key. It needs to be fresh, slightly crunchy exterior, with soft but dense insides. Toasted is not optional, IMO. It needs to be toasted so it is warm, but not steaming hot. For 2022, I am going to experiment with a roasted pork sandwich. I can get a half pork loin for $2.79 lb or so. For the sub roll I have ideas of using frozen bread dough and cutting them up for the decent size sub roll I need once thawed and let rise but not quite as much as for a normal loaf of bread. Watched many of your cooks at work when thing are slow. I am now subscribed at my home account. Keep up with the good groceries.

Made cheesesteaks on the Blackstone last night that were nearly identical to what you have, right down to the white American cheese and provolone. So good. So far, it's my wife's favorite meal off the griddle.
Brother I grew up 15 minutes away from Philly. I ate their cheesteaks. If you want bell peppers in yours, that just fine. I like onion and mushroom on mine. It's still a cheese steak. GODbless you my friend and keep on cookin!

It doesn't matter how you cook your cheese steaks as long as you use shaved ribeye they always look fantastic and taste even better. Love the provolone cheese as well.

5:33 So does the majority of the people from Philly. When you forget that you don't have any cheese in the fridge, mayo is a great substitute. In a way, using the right mayo, makes the cheesesteak taste like it has more cheese to it.

I’m not so much a fan of the whole sets as they tend to have knives one doesn’t use much. I like to have a good knife for general chopping/everyday knife, pairing knife, and maybe a some kind of carving knife or a boning or filet knife. These are Dalstrong knives and I’ve enjoyed them for over 5 yrs now. I'm born and raised Philly. Brother, rock on. Looks great. I use mayo on my cheesesteak. Hell, in the late 80s, early 90s, one of my jobs during highschool was working in buddies family pizza joint in Philly. We routinely made cheesesteaks with fried onions, no peppers though, we added mushrooms and pepperoni with American cheese and mayo. I'm mid 40s now, for nostalgia, I'll order it that way.

I'm born and raised Philly. Brother, rock on. Looks great. I use mayo on my cheesesteak.
Hell, in the late 80s, early 90s, one of my jobs during highschool was working in buddies family pizza joint in Philly. We routinely made cheesesteaks with fried onions, no peppers though, we added mushrooms and pepperoni with American cheese and mayo. I'm mid 40s now, for nostalgia, I'll order it that way.
