Bro, I just did this almost exactly like you did and it was phenomenal! Only my second time using a griddle too! I don't normally comment, but felt I had to. I wanted to say I appreciate all the great vids you and your wife put together. I have watched a bunch and they are certainly helping me be successful right out of the gate with my new to me griddle (previous owner thought it was too hard to use... glad he didn't find your videos! haha). Seriously, thank you.
I am new to flat tops and just got a blackstone at 4th of July. I’ve been trying to learn and came across your page and I love your videos. Can you please start demonstrating how you have your knobs set for the appropriate heat to what you’re cooking. I know heat management and using your zones correctly is huge with these and I feel like that part gets left out a lot so then I end up guessing when I try to make stuff from your videos. I love your videos though and I really appreciate you for showing us new guys the way!
That sandwich looked awesome, bro. I just bought a Blackstone griddle today. I'm going to get it seasoned up tomorrow and cooking on it all weekend. First up, this cheesesteak sandwich. I'm going to binge watch all of your videos over the weekend. We'll done sir, thank you.
@@TheFlatTopKing I get some heat as I like mine with Swiss cheese, mushrooms and onions. Most people I know don't do the wiz. It is all good though. Keep on expanding peoples horizons. Really enjoying the different grills that you use too. Very interesting to compare the differences. Thanks again!!!
Just want to say, I made these on my new Blackstone camping griddle for a camping trip with some friends this past weekend and this recipe was a HUGE hit around the campfire! Thanks!
Hey Neal! I just got through making my first cheesesteak. Used the exact same preparation and steps as you did. Only difference is before I added the provolone I added some chopped pickles just underneath it that I seasoned with salt and pepper. Came out so tasty! Thank you so much for the recipe and all of your informative videos.
Another masterpiece! And wrapping and resting is a true pro tip. It makes a huge difference in everything from these to maid-rites. And even on cold dressed Sub sandwiches (for whatever reason).
I feel you on the bread. I live in Southwest Louisiana, so I have access to some wonderful fresh French Bread. It works so well for cheesesteak sandwiches.
I've had my Camp Chef Gridiron for a couple weeks and have relied on you for several of my "first cooks", but this one takes the lead as our favorite. Adding the hot peppers, melting some cheese into the meat and laying on the Worcestershire were all winning ideas I would have left out if I had gone out there on my own. Love the work you put in. Hope it is working out for you. Thanks for your service.
OMG! Made this Sunday! Best sandwich EVER! I didn't have banana peppers so I subbed pepperoncini and added roasted red peppers as well. Thank you! 5/5.
I know you made this video about three years ago, but your technique of placing the finished cheese steak into the roll was spot on. My wife and i may have a different recipe, taste and method but your style is very similar. Thanks for the insight of your style. Griddle on.
Well done! Excellent explain. No wasted time intro. Legit transfer of knowledge and wisdom. Great fries tip. Awesome recipe. Kudos to the camera operator and key grip. This is how TH-cam it!
Dude, this may be the first comment I’ve made on TH-cam in 10yrs… that looks AMAZING!! I’m buying a ribeye tomorrow and making this happen!! Nice job brother!!!
Those banana peppers are a great idea - need to try that. Cheese steak sandwich is my favorite thing to cook on the griddle. I put steak in the freezer for about 20 minutes which allows me to slice in very thin with ease. I’ve also ditched provolone whose flavor gets lost in the mix and now slice up some mozzarella instead - tons more flavor. Keep up the great videos!
You made a big Philly cheese steak sandwich that looks extremely delicious however I've watched many videos of Philly cheese steak but no one used banana pepper but you used I believe that things obviously test would be awesome this video is helpful for everyone thanks.
its about 45 min to work from my fave cheesesteak shop, I'd order 6 of them and bring into work for the guys on my team. they were animals!!! i ended up learning to have them double wrapped, but by the time i got to work the temp was perfect with the juice throughout the bun, and those things would be gone in minutes!!!!
I'd like to see you try this exact method but using some type of hard crust roll removing the softer center portion of the dough. I would give it a go myself but I dont have a flat top griddle. It looks awesome!!
