Actually they can either be a good thing, or take away from the looks of the ride if they are too large & flashy. As they become the focal point instead of the car itself, and is why I recently got rid of the flashy chrome 22s that were on my Challenger when we bought it and replaced them with 17s. Not only does it look much better, they also weigh 68 lbs less overall and is quicker. As heavy as the LX platform is, it's a huge plus and can use all the help we can get in that area 👍🏼
@@garettjohnson2234 well the reason why it wasn't more, is because the new wheels are wrapped in fat MT drag radials with a bigger aspect ratio than the 295x30x22 pirelli P zeros that they replaced and is why it was only that much. It's not a lot by itself, but also replaced the 45 lb battery with a lightweight Braille racing one and between them both was 100 lbs. I know that it probably doesn't seem like much either, but you'd be surprised and picked up a few tents in her 0-60 testing

The dws06 is the best bang for buck tire on the market. I have been buying them since they were released and I love the stickiness and treadlife as well as how they perform in the wet.

If you're looking to go a more performance route, I'd look into some rotary formed wheels to keep the weight down. Vorsteriner, HRE Flow Formed, and ESRs new flow formed line up are all GREAT options for these cars. In fact, I actually run Vorsteiners on my W211 E55 AMG. Bought 2nd hand 04is300 sportcross already lowered previous owner. Do I need to upgrade cambers kit front & rear? Recently change front tire bcoz inner cords of tire wear off. balance and alignment is it good enough? Need your advice and expertise.
It depends if lowering it changed the camber at all. Most of the time it's fine, but if it's chewing up your tires, you're going to want a camber kit to reduce wear. -Sean

Slammed cars would certainly be lighter after driving here haha but I don’t think that’s how anyone wants to do weight reduction
