Literally just bought the same for my e90, could not believe the price. Got a whole set for less than the price of the michelin or continental rears. Obviously wont be as good but its just a daily not a track car
@anjishmahat6431 I thought the same thing I wanted 40 in the back but everywhere I looked 35 was recommended for the rear and I'm glad I did because the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires are pretty big 35 in the rear in height is just about the same to a 225 40 in the front in height my E93 is the base model good question thank you
Does it look like the tread pattern is on backwards on the left rear? See at 2:02. Seen various other internet pics of these mounted both ways - outer 'zig-zag' channel - some flare outwards and others inwards. Would that make a negative difference?
I´d like to try them. But, your comparison is like, we say in Germany: "Äpfel mit Birnen vergleichen", something like compare apples with pears... So changing from a HP to UHP ant then ton SEMI (Slik) must result in a big Performance Increase on dry streets. I looked at the sizes, so they should fit on my Camaros, the V8 and the 2.0 Turbo. So the thing is, how do they perform in comparison to other Semis: Goodyear Eagle F1 R Michelin Cup 2 Nankang? With my best rgts. from Europe to US, Frank :-)
Just installed these (square setup) on my 5.0 Rspec Genesis. I have to say...the drone is almost unbrearable. 🤦🏽♂️ Not sure if it's because mine is stretched at 245 40s on a 10" rim. But I had other tires on the same wheel and it didn't make this much noise. I have checked a few times but they're mounted correctly. Not sure why...mine is loooooud.
Interesting. I haven't noticed an increase in road noise, but I also did a bunch of other upgrades at the same time so the engine might be overpowering the road noise. -MS
@@AutoGuide oh yeah am stock exhaust so maybe that's why I'm hearing everything....weird thing is that I have had evov12s on it with the same exact tire specs along with other cheapo tires when I had non repairable flat. Those didn't make noise. It looks like the drone is worst at 65 mph. Drone is almost asnbad or as bad as my modified exhaust on my sonata 😂
@@AutoGuideI have to take back what I said about the drone. Come to find out, my wheel hub assemblies (both upfront ) were shot. Hence the huge drone noise. Just a bad coincidence that this noise appeared right after I went to replace to Firehawk indy 500s. Just finished the replacement this afternoon and car is quiet as ever. My bad lol
So, price if price isnt considered a factor, how do these compare to say the Bridgestone Re71r? Are they a dedicated 200 wear track tire? Or are they a compromise of some sort?
My brother had these on his Mazdaspeed 3. Were a great poor mans Pilot supersport alternative!
Thanks for posting! I got a black Friday deal at Tire Rack 225/40/18 front
255/35/18 rear
for $352... going on my 2008 E93
I just put mine away for the winter. Still impressed by them. Let me know what you think after some miles on them.

Just wondering why you don’t have 40 on rear too? Like why 35? I got 335 f30.. previous owner got similar setups wit ps4…wondering

I have these on my 535 bmw 450whp. 285rears. They are a blast but the rears will last you a summer or less with much use

look like they will have extremely high grip but that tread design also looks like it will hydroplane

Not even close, these are a budget version of ps4s
@3002_tii So just a summer performance tire.
Is this an advertisement disguised as a review?
It is not. Mike just seems really enamoured with these tires.
