Actualy, I learned ( the hard way) heels and tires. Swaping your 185/60 r15 stock for 235/45 r17 with soft rubber tires (as an exemple) will gain you more traction, and less bodyroll. It will feel like a difrent car.

There are a few cheap yet effective mods that you have overlooked which is polishing and/or porting the cylinder head, oval valve springs, ceramic coat the parts where heat is passing through such as the cylinder head and the whole car's exhaust system to keep the temperatures down in the engine bay to get a least 10+ horsepower as I have heard about from a Wheeler Dealers episode where they were restoring an old classic car can achieve.

Best mod for a brand new car you bought is a full service, followed by a cam belt change, clutch, tyres, brakes and anything that will bring all the mechanical stock stuff to how it should run.

I’m still low mileage but what impact does the motor mount make? I see it on ST forums all the time but never understood it. also, assuming yours is also not boosted since it’s a 5 speed, what kind of tune are you running if you’re running one? I can only find eco boost tunes for the ST and I’ve done a ton of research and I’m stumped on where to go. any advice from anyone seeing this it would be greatly appreciated lol

So the last part. Bushings 100% help if the originals are bad, or you go to solid bushings right off the bat.
Strut bars on the other hand so more to remove money from your wallet than help your handling on newer cars.
I had a perrin strut bar on my 2013 sti. I swore up and down it helped. Saying crap like "less body roll" and "handles like it's on rails", the typical bs.
I had a shop install my iag aos, which mounts on the firewall, right in the path of the strut bar. So the removed the bar and put it in the trunk without telling me.
I drove for months still thinking this thing was helpful. Finally someone in a FB group asked if the aos and strut bar fit together. I was like "hell ya it does, I have both. I'll run and take a Pic to prove it".
Ran out to my sti, popped the hood, and realized the bar was gone. The car drove, handled and everything the same with and without the bar.
P.s. I did figure out what the noise in the back was.
Pps. If you're not looking for something missing, you don't realize it's gone until you look for it.

      @n0z4a243 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I will say my old rsx type s which had previous frame and bad body damage that was "fixed" by a local shop. Did get improvements from having the strut bars, b and c pillar bars.
That's only because of the already weak frame and body from the accident. When I tightened bars up all the way, the sun roof wouldn't open lol.

I think good headers or exhaust manifold, and no or very few restrictions in the pipe. Definitely an egr delete, sway bars to reduce body roll and anything that could make the body stiffer such as strut braces and if it's a soft top, get a hard top. Sticky tyres, and light rims that are wider than the stock ones with lower profile tyres to reduce tyre roll. Slightly more camber. And last probably a modest wing or spoiler. Nothing ridiculous that would create huge drag but something to make a little bit of downforce for high speed.

The egr system actually helps cool the air fuel mixture so if you delete it the combustion will be hotter and depending on the car it may even put you into detonation area so you're pcm will pull back timing and overall lose power. If you delete egr you must get it tuned and the most likely the air fuel mixture will have to be a bit more rich to maintain it cool.

I can't wait to modify a car sooner or later when I buy my dream car. I'm tired of driving the 2003 Toyota Camry LE that was handed down to me as my first car and still on my dad's name. Technically I bought my first car which is a 2007 Nissan Versa hatchback 6 speed manual but of course I didn't know it was a lemon, hints why I am going to get rid of that car one way or another due to not going to pass state inspection. That's why I can't wait until I go to the nearest stick shift driving school in my state. Thanks for this video fitment industries.

I definitely agree with the tires, I used to run bridgestone 275s they were a bit on the old side, I ended up investing into some 295s nittos, not only did I not spin anymore, but they felt more grippy, sadly I sold the car though

2-3 Row Radiator are so underrated, cooler engine run better and extend the Life of your Car, especially Turbo applications. A lot of people up grade Turbos, Headers etc and cause more Heat Wear. More Heat = More Damage

Hey Man, Amazing content, I went to your website to find the suspension options for my VW Polo 1.5 TDI (in India) just to learn that it is not called polo in the States, well if you could look it up and suggest the coilovers I can put in my car, I would be glad :)

    Whats your opinion.....
on high performance cars that come from the factory with high performance tires(maybe R compound?) and therefor have there suspension/chassis tuned around those compounds VS bolting on a different set of track tires.
Like switching from a factory set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 to a set of Pirelli Trofeo R's for track use???

I'll also add that a strut tower bar/brace isn't a major improvement, especially on a Stock Suspension. It can be beneficial if your suspension has been upgraded though.

I gotta shout out my tuner bold cars in alhambra CA. I bought a used 2017 BMW manual 340i. their stage 2 is just a catless downpipe and charge packs and I went from 350 hp to 520 hp. burrrrrble pop pop. LOVE THIS CHANEL yall are rad!

  • @jmackinjersey1

A factory set up on modern vehicles IS a CAI. Yes, it can be a little more restrictive, but it is also quieter. So, if you are going to remove the factory box and plumbing, make sure that you replace it with another true CAI, and not a short pipe that sucks HOT air from under the hood.
