On one hand, it's unfortunate we didn't get any Brawler buffs in 8.0.0. On the other hand, I'm glad I didn't have to re-record this video because it took me more time to complete than any sane human should reasonably spend on a Mii tier list. This is more than twice as long as my second-largest video project - I wanted to try something new. Let me know what you think! (And of course Part 2 is coming... eventually. I don't know if I could handle another 26-minute video right now!)
I'll be uploading weekly after this - I've been planning some projects which I'm happy to finally get to make & show everyone. The recent revelations in the Smash community made me feel sad, betrayed, and angry... but I'd like to turn that energy into productivity & make things I'm proud of. Hope you'll stick with me!

We all know part 3 is going to be the other moves trying to compensate for safe on block Falcon Punch.

Personality, as a 3123 main, my favorite things about Brawler is the gratification of hitting one of the 57 exploding side kicks I throw out per match, having a recovery that's a mix of little Mac without side B and yoshi without a double jump, killing people at 20% with my counter because they tried to throw out something with knockback, and also having a side B burst option that has slow start up and a ton of end lag. This character is *G R E A T*

idk my personal favorite is axe-kick/suplex/assault because you get three suicide kills and we all know that's the best part of mii brawler
Ahhhh I forgot that set has 3 suicide KO tools!! Even though Suplex isn't super great for that competitively, I definitely should've mentioned it... well at least I can save it for 2311 now 😄

i feel like suplex would be so much better if it actually killed off the bottom. you always die first, though, and they don’t die at all most of the time.

This was an awesome video. If/when you do get to part 2, I'd appreciate it if you could spend some time (particularly in the beginning) talking about what each special is/does. That way us non-mii brawler main plebs can have a better idea of which moves you're talking about in a particular set. Like, because you're going through sets in a relatively quick pace, and mostly switching between the x/y/z/*a* set the most, spending some time establishing each move can go a long way to prevent us plebs from getting lost.
For sure! I've received some other good feedback about clarity too, such as having the set I'm currently talking about always visible. I'll definitely keep this mind when I finish part 2... one day... :)

1312 here, was a 3113 main but quickly realized how bad onslaught can be(since it's combined with foot flurry and was nerfed so damn much) and ESK(before I truly get competitive i just take things that is cool "good"

I feel like I learned a lot, and if I ever get a Nintendo switch and get ultimate I am totally going to play mii brawlers characters. Although rollback netcode on Melee is better

I figured 1212 would be pretty high up after using it primarily for pretty much all of my time using Brawler, it just always felt like one of the strongest sets the charactcer has. Pretty nice to have confirmation on it from one of the best mii brawlers out there.

I don't even play Mii Brawler but this is still a great video. Top tier jokes and I always like learning stuff about characters I don't play anyway.
I'm really happy to hear that! I've got a couple non-Mii video ideas as well (right now I've got completed ones on sleep & learning new characters you could check out if you want) and I'm hoping to diversify my content a bit as I get into the weekly-upload rhythm. Ridiculously good question with 81 movesets and substantially more than 81 mii brawler players one could assume there are at least 2 players of every moveset, but with certain moves synergizing together and other moves being less popular: it is not inconceivable that some movesets are only truely mained by one player or even by noone. I too would like to know if each moveset has a player who mains it. If there was a main of every moveset, I would love to get the best main of each moveset and put them in a tournament together. Also we could get some great debate between mains of different movesets.

As a 2322 main, I am a man who spams u-air to blinding mach punch because its stupid overpowered. I disrespectfully suicide suplex people off the stage. I die off stage from the shitty recovery that isThrust Uppercut. Finnaly I complain way too much about feint jump and how laggy it is and always sd off the stage but I refuse to use anything else because it's the best move in the game.
Use burning drop kick (side special 2) it makes recovery so much easier

Thrupper's main problem for me is that when clashing with an opponent's moves, It has literally no priority. You WILL either be spiked, Gimped, Stage-spiked-And if you're lucky the move will reset and give you enough time to contemplate why you chose it... or just mash Thrupper again.
My combination is 1231; I can still kill at zero, like us brawlers do best, but I become a strange hybrid Brawler that can kill reliably off-the-top at 90%+ and one Shot Putt to the shield makes Head-on shieldbreak.

WhyDo, I really appreciate all the work you put into this masterpiece and I can't wait to see the other parts, especially your explanation for ever using a 3XXX setup. Been trying out different sets, but loving 2223. Mach punch for the kills, Dropkick for the distance attacks/shield pressure, Helikick for mixing up recovery, and Reversal for those swordie matchups.

If and when you get to exploding side kick, try putting the wild west hat on your mii. The brim of the hat dramatically covers your mii's eyes during the windup, effectively doubling your style points.

I love the synergy of this tier list. F tier is basically every set which doesn't have either Burning Dropkick, Axe Kick or Helix Jump, while D tier is these exact sets but with Axe Kick, with C tier being a sorta cross between D and B, with the best Dropkick and Helix Jump-less set and also the less bad but still not really good Counter Throw sets, aside from 1213, the B-A-S tier is basically all the basic neu-side-down kits that work well by themselves, with changing the UpBs improving or worsening their performance a bit. This one proved to be a very interesting, easily followable and informative tier list that gives correct insight onto the brawler baking experience and there are easily followable patterns as well, if we ever ranked every tier list in the world on their tier list this one would definitely rank in flavortown! Also as a 2231 main I'm strongly awaiting the sequel, be it 4 months or years into the future, it will definitely be an experience worth waiting for!

Onslaught's kinda good for filling in that gap when you have no other specials that kill consistently, like with 1112. Coming from a former 1212 player, brawler needs kill power imo, he may live forever with 1212 but he doesn't kill forever either. Most matches just turn into a matter of edging each other until one of you blasts off and dies. Probably better if you're good at edge guarding, but I'm not so I needs me the kills. Side note: yo this video was amazing, I loved it. Can't wait for the next one
