Cheap plastic? it is plastic, yes but cheap?
I find the plastic to be as high quality as plastic can get, so... cheap plastic sounds a little like beats level plastic, and those senns are better than that!

They will sound even better plugged into a high end stereo receiver or high end stereo integrated amplifier.

Your review is right on. I have been using mine for several weeks and for the money they are great sounding. My inexpensive headphone amp enhances the sound stage a little when used with an iPod classic but I tend not to bother using it with 598 CS.
Very nice and professional vibe, also straight to the point and not so much bullshit like ads and unnecesary information. These "smaller" tech you tube channels are so much better than the huge ones.

Just a question. Have you tried the HD 4.30 ? I am traveling a lot and i like to be able to fold headphones and throw them in my bag. But i don't want to compromise too much on clarity and soundstage. Can you quickly compare them...?
that build quality is the only thing I'm worried about since even my hyperX clouds have some aluminum having said that my clouds no longer play audio through the left earcup and so I'm looking for a replacement so it's either these, some AKGs or the audio technicas just wondering what you'd recommend

Now that people have owned these for a while, many are finding that the fake suede ear pads are falling apart. Check out the reviews on Amazon for more details. The ear pads are easily replaced, but this is certainly something to consider if you plan to use these headphones regularly. I owned the HD598 Cs for a short period of time (1-2 weeks), but returned them for a refund after comparing directly to the HD598 SE, which better suited my tastes.
I'm a headphone noob, and these are very comfortable, but I don't think quite as much as my previous $50 Edifier H850's. My ears do get a bit warm sometimes on the 598cs, but the comfort is still is a 9/10. Even if they sounded terrible, I still wouldn't go back to the Edifiers, because even though those were great for $45, they simply can't compare to the sounds of the 598cs.

I think the 598SE or these are a batter value for the money, but that's my opinion.
Is this better then the original 598 and m50x in your opinion? This interests more since closed back is better to me then open back

To me HD598cs was noticable upgrade over ATH M50X in sound quality.

Toàn Lý NO the soundstage is not as good as the open back but it's not too bad either. If you absolutely need the best sound quality and can afford to have a quite room then the open back are surely better.

How is the volume on these? I have the Audio Technica m50x and I feel like they don't get loud enough with my phone
You need to visit an otolaryngologist, a cleaning of ears will make your listening better. The M50x don't need too much amplification and the sensibility is good enough.
That, or you might be starting to become deaf. Lol!

they have a resistance of 23 ohms you don't really need an amp for this
Look up the fiio a3 ($60) or smsl sap 2 pro (65). Both are amazing amps for the price. Can't do better
At 23 Ohms, these cans are driven well with any device. So you really don't need an amp unless you don't have enough volume on your device. In which case, you can go for the following.
Portable amp: Fiio A5 or Schiit Fulla 2, with the Fiio being the more potent.
At-home amp: Schiit Magni 3. You'd only want to crank it slightly though, otherwise it's overkill.

I'd say they're pretty close but perhaps the 598Cs have a slight bit more...slight

jak p the cups are bigger on the senns, so if your ears are to bigg for the small bose like mine, then yes
I'd say they're about the same. The Bose's do sound better, but they are also more than twice the cost. But both of these are incredibly comfortable. I don't own the Bose's, but I own the Sennheiser's, and they are so comfortable that sometimes I put them on and then an hour later realize I forgot to play music because I forgot that I had the headphones on. They're that comfortable.
Joshua Howard haha, the bose has more Bass, sounds warmer and stuff and you prob. like it a little more, but (objectively) it does in no way sound better :PP Soundstage and detail is simply superior on the Senns.
Yeah I shouldn't have said it like I did because it's definitely a matter of opinion. Also, I only got to listen to the Bose's for like 10 minutes with a few songs so I didn't really get a great sample. I just had a better first impression of the Bose's. But I'm also not an expert on audio at all, so what do I know haha. I'd like to learn more.
I own a pair of HD 595 since many years now and I am very confident that these ones will sound great too. The only downside of this design is that they will crack in the same spot and warranty doesn't cover since they will keep working perfectly. I don't know if you were familiar with this flaw.
