I find watches pretty annoying to wear but i liked the fitness tracking the smartwatch gave me so the ring sounds pretty sick. I had a galaxy watch but i just stopped wearing it because it irritated my wrist and i had to charge it every day. I dont think im willing to pay $400 for a ring though

Out of all the products Samsung has demoed, I think the Ring gave me the most interest. I don't need to use a bulky smartwatch to track my exercise, plus I can go swimming seamlessly and not worrying if my watch falls off.
Not to mention that you have to charge your watch every day making it unsuable for me. Its massively more convenient for excercising and health tracking than smartwatch.
I love the new products and design language of samsung, i was missing samsungs identity for the last years but now im confident they have found their new way and they have new cool and futuristic looking devices as always. Samsung deserves more respect from the community

I think you should have mentioned that the galaxy ring doesn't have a subscription so while it is more expensive then the oura ring, after 2 years youd actually be saving money.
Unfortunately i don't think the Samsung ring will be nearly as good as the Oura. Watch the Quantified Scientist, i'm sure he'll do a review on the ring when it comes out.
I would love the see the ring. Especially compared to the Oura ring as the only other comparable product that I've seen. Also that's wicked about the ring working with the watch. I'm a stickler for accuracy but I'm also a set it and forget it gal.
The ring is the best part of this release. I personally always struggle in choosing which watch I want, on the one hand i need my galaxy watch to tract all the stuff (sleep, steps, etc...) which doesn't allow me to wear a normal, stylish watch. The laggy part, could be how many programs are open, or one of the programs is stuck in a loop. It happens to the best of phones. I assume if he restarted the watch beforehand, It would be much more responsive. Usually for video reviews you put a device through the paces, which means opening up all of the apps at once ....

I think you missed a final scenario for the smart ring, in that you already have a nice/expensive watch and don't want to wear two watches. I would look forward to a smart bangle. It would be large enough for long battery life and more sensors. A small strip of a screen or series of notification leds could be added to get the best of both worlds.

I think you should have mentioned that the galaxy ring doesn't have a subscription so while it is more expensive then the oura ring, after 2 years youd actually be saving money.
Unfortunately i don't think the Samsung ring will be nearly as good as the Oura. Watch the Quantified Scientist, i'm sure he'll do a review on the ring when it comes out.
I would love the see the ring. Especially compared to the Oura ring as the only other comparable product that I've seen. Also that's wicked about the ring working with the watch. I'm a stickler for accuracy but I'm also a set it and forget it gal.

The ring is the best part of this release. I personally always struggle in choosing which watch I want, on the one hand i need my galaxy watch to tract all the stuff (sleep, steps, etc...) which doesn't allow me to wear a normal, stylish watch. Ring would eliminate this problem for me. Thanks for the review!
i like your 1st impressions and how you mention things that others skip on like the ultra watch being laggy pre-launch, and the buds 3 pro being hard to grip from its angular design.
The laggy part, could be how many programs are open, or one of the programs is stuck in a loop. It happens to the best of phones. I assume if he restarted the watch beforehand, It would be much more responsive. Usually for video reviews you put a device through the paces, which means opening up all of the apps at once ....
He skipped the nightmode on Galaxy Watch, it's 200% better than Apple Watch.

@@nerfgodbigguy1405 Night mode has been a thing for ages, and using red is the standard because it stimulates the photoreceptors in your eyes less than other colours, hence why if you search up astronomy star parties you will see red lights everywhere.

i seriously don't know how you're meant to replace the battery on these, so hopefully they have a feature to limit charging to 80% because the whole benefit of them not needing a subscription requires you to be able to use the ring for years without the battery dying...

I think you missed a final scenario for the smart ring, in that you already have a nice/expensive watch and don't want to wear two watches. I would look forward to a smart bangle. It would be large enough for long battery life and more sensors. A small strip of a screen or series of notification leds could be added to get the best of both worlds.

Here's a question about the ring: how does it feel when one is running? Usually, rings are taken off when running because of the swelling of the fingers. No one wants to deal with the hassle of a ring after a long run.

All Samsung watches ive ever dealt with are always laggy, new or old. Sad to hear that, it seemed very interesting
They lag the most after boot, and when updating apps. It's ridiculous how it hasn't been addressed after so long.

Same. Have two Galaxy Watch 4s and they're super responsive and snappy still (so no need to upgrade for me)
The health tracking software isn't very good, when compared to Apple, Fitbit, Oura and Whoop, even Huawei does it better than Samsung.
