    Super annoyed with the manufacturers cup. I work 2nd shift and the only options for race times is 7pm-11pm… and of course I don’t get out of work until midnight. Punishing the 2nd shift worker like usual. They should have more start times. Sucks because that sounds like a ton of fun :(

      That does suck. BUT, I have a work around! Start an account in Australia or the UK, somewhere that is racing when you're off work. You'll need to set up a google email and start a new PSN ID. Then when you sign.up to GT7, just choose that country. You'll need to look up a city in that country as well. Bunch of youtubers race with alt IDs in other Regions.

If the primary account on that playstation is your original account, anyone who signs on can both play GT7 and play online. The new account does not need to be from the same region and does not need PS+. When you open GT7 for the first time on the new account, you select your region and state, that's when you select where. I may do a video on this since it seems to be a common issue. And, make sure I'm not misleading anyone, but I had 2 alt accounts, one for nations and one for daily races and neither have PS+ or their own game.

    • @geauxgreddy
      @geauxgreddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You're welcome. Rooms are based on Driver Rating (0-100,000 points) and they match make from the top down. If you have nearly the same driver rating you could get lucky and get matched up. If your friend is say a C rated driver and you are a B rated driver, then no, pretty unlikely you'd be matched. If you are both E rated drivers (first online race) then you could get lucky. You used to be able to check your exact DR Score on www.KudosPrime.com, but GT7 has been stingey with revealing DR ratings. So, no way to tell yet. Mine is at around 68,000 points carried over from GTS. Only reason I know mine. Good Luck and Have Fun!

    • @geauxgreddy
      @geauxgreddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Trackstar1319 If you won the race, you will receive the most points IN THAT RACE. However, some people you raced with raced again in a later time slot. If they got into a higher lobby, they have the opportunity for more points (as people quit playing during the evening, you can get pulled up into higher ranked lobbies as it match makes from the top down). So, if they start in say 10th in a higher ranked lobby but 6 people crash and say they pass 2 more, they could get quite a few more points than finishing 8th in a lower ranked lobby. Its all a gamble though. I'd probably take my 1st place points and run unless I was pretty certain I had the pace to do well in a higher ranked lobby. I'm in a pretty high split, so I know my competitors pretty well, I know that getting pulled into the top split is NOT in my best interest a majority of the time. In a lower ranked lobby, someone like yourself could benefit from going again if you have really good pace.

Then maybe I can start earning more points and see where I rank among the A and A+ competition.

  • @MadBelle13

    I don’t understand. It says only the last race of each round counts for points. So like I won my first race and quit. But I’m ranked 92nd because all these guys racing multiple races and gaining lots of points. So what do I need to do?? Race a crap load each round?

    • @geauxgreddy
      @geauxgreddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Higher ranked lobbies have more points available to win. As you win, your ranking goes up and you will be in lobbies with more available points. So, you could have raced again but you would've thrown away the 89 points and went home with whatever you got in your second race. I raced 1 race, finished 3rd, in a GT1 A+ lobby and got 264 points.

      2) What's your SR? If its not S you arent scoring many points. Non S ranked SR drivers are In what we call the "naughty lobby". I don’t understand how you can start at the beginning, middle or end of the championship?

    • @geauxgreddy
      @geauxgreddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because your rank is on total points earned. So, there is no reason why you cant start in the middle of a season, you'll just be ranked lower. You are not required to do every race, your odds of ranking higher will be greater if you do each round but it's not required.
      For tire wear and fuel use. 1st tires, you have to set up a lobby with the same settings and just see how long you can go. When your times on the softer compound exceed the time you can set on the harder compound, you need to switch. However, if the pit stop is longer than the time you made up by being on the softer compound, then you have to consider a no stop on the harder compound. In other words, math. Lol. OR you can watch th-cam.com/users/MistahMCA he does all the hard work and gives you the winning strategies.
      Fuel, same thing, have to set up a lobby and see how long your fuel lasts. Use the fuel meter on your HUD. Itll tell you how many laps you have left. See if short shifting and not pitting is faster than pitting. Or just join a race and see what the top finisher does. Save the replay and do the same thing. Or, watch Mistah mca. Lol. No easy answer other.than copy the top guys.
      Good luck! Have fun!

    I‘m driving in GT2. First round i can’t race. The second race I won it and I get 65 points for the first place.
    But I checked the leader board and there‘re people after the second race with 140+ points. How is that possible?
    For a 1 place you earn 65 points in GT2 after two races is a maximum of 130points possible right? Why other drivers get more points?

    • @geauxgreddy
      @geauxgreddy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Your points depend on the difficulty of the lobby you're in. We call them splits. They matchmake from the top (top split) on down based on your driver rating. Top split A+ can get into the 400 point range. Winning an A rated lobby will get you in the high 100s like 180ish.
      Only your last race counts. So, if you get 1st and 65 points at 6pm and race that same race later that night and get say 6th place and 40 points.at 10pm, then 40 points is all you get for that race. Not 105.

      Interesting question because with the division of GT1, GT2, and GT3 there could be championships for all 3 classes. And, when the official season starts, there will certainly be championships. They used to take the top 16 for nations and top 16 of the Manufacturers from each region and had a tournament with world finalists going to a location like Morocco or New York, etc. No real prize money unless you finish in the top 3. Then it was a TGT wheel, TAG Heurer watch, and a trophy. You did get credits if your manufacturer won it all or your nation made it to the semi finals. For us outside the top 16 in our region, bragging rights was the prize.
      It’s a bit of a wait and see, but it will likely be very similar to what we saw in GT sport.

      I do, the last race per round that you run is the points you keep for that round. You are placed in.lobbies based on your driver rating, A+ highest, E lowest. Lobby points are based on the total Driver rating in that lobby. Top split (highest rated drivers) can get 400+. Bottom split, single to low double digits. To get more points you have to increase your SPORT MODE driver rating. Thats online races with others in Daily Races or Championship series.

    • @geauxgreddy
      @geauxgreddy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Every race that you finish in the top half (top 10) your driver rating increases. If you finish 1st, you cam gain 2,000 DR. About every 10,000 DR you go up a DR level. E, D, C, B, A, A+. When they matchmake for the races, they put together the lobbies from the highest 20 DR and then continue with the next 20, etc. etc. down the rankings. So the top 20 ranked drivers will be in what is called the top split. That lobby is worth around 400 points for 1st place. As they get down toward the E rated lobbies, 1st is only worth 10 points or so. As you move up the ranks, you can get more points because you'll be racing faster higher rated drivers. Only the last race you ran in each round counts. There are 9 rounds this season. They are taking your best 3 of 9 rounds by the end.

Only the highest of your three rounds count towards your standing. Nothing adds up this season. To get more points you need to finish higher in higher rated lobbies. To get into higher rated lobbies you need to increase your DR.
      Again, the last race per round goes on your record for that round. Your highest round counts towards your standing in this 3 Round exhibition season. Round 1 Nurburgring GP, Round 2 St Croix C, Round 3 Fuji.
