  • Hello everyone!
My name is Kristina and I love crafting natural cosmetics!
Today, I would love to share with you one easy method of making this amazing Healing Shea Butter!
In the video I used Calendula officinalis flowers but you can substitute them with any other herb.
You can use the infused shea butter directly on the skin to heal cuts, burns or soothe inflammation. Also you can combine it with other ingredients and craft your own all natural beauty products!
If you like watching such kind of projects - support me with one 👍 and subscribe to my channel!
    Thank you for watching! 😊

Thank you so much. Question: can I use coconut oil instead shea?

Thank you Amir. Up until now I haven't tried to make hot extraction with coconut oil. I think there is no reason why not. The idea is the vegetable fats to extract the oil soluble ingredients in the dry flowers. If you try it please let me know the results. 🙂

Hi, how long it will be okay since it doesnt have any preservaties? Thanks :)

Hi Pamela, thank you for your comment and interest! There is no need for preservatives, because there is no water in the extract. Of course oils oxidize so if your extract starts to smell rancid don't use it. If you are working in a clean environment and you store the extract in a dry and cool place, it can last up to 6 months without any problems.

Can I use this for acne?

Hi Nash, thank you for your comment. Shea butter in not suitable for oily skin or such prone to acne. Lavender water is really good for acne. If you wish to use something nourishing try moisturizing gels, or dry oil such as rosehip oil.
