Thanks so much for the video. I already purchase mango, kokum and I even bought cupuacu butter and I love them all. Now that you’ve explained the differences, I’ll be ordering more from you. Those I’ve purchased from Oslove so far are of superior quality and have allowed me to make some of the best body butter. I no longer purchase store bought butters and lotions since learning how to make my own. Peace and blessings to you.
I don't really know much about yellow shea butter but I believe it has an added ingredient; red palm oil so I'd suggest just go for simple unrefined shea butter.
Aloe butter and mango butter are always my favorite they're lighter and I love the feel of the aloe butter. And I also love the real light fluffyness of mango butter more lightweight and silkier to me 🤓⚡👌🏼🥰🌟💯‼️
Do you have any advice on how to calculate a recipe for body butter? I want to use mango and cocoa butter, with apricot kernal, avocado, and maybe Castor oil (so at least 3 oils). I'll add fragrance and mica powder for color at some point, but I have to get the basics down, I just can't figure out how to calculate it all. Do you have any tips? 💖
Here’s the recipe I use when making beard butter. Its the same for body butter. 1/2 cup of butter to 1/4 cup of oil. You can use any combination of butters and oils that you so desire. I don’t whip my final product and it produces (4) 2oz. tins completely full.
If you prefer a thick butter, use 3-4 parts butter to one part oil. If you prefer a softer texture, use two parts butter to one part oil. I would include Kokum butter to reduce the oiliness that may result. Hope this helps :)
i need some help i have some beeswax that i want to make it into more solid texture because i added some cocoa butter and it'a solid but as soon as i touch it to apply it it becomes kind of oily so any recomandations?
I've found that no matter which butters I mix and whip, they become very stiff and dense the next day. What would be your recommendation, for thickness but not a lotion texture, where it stays that way the next day?
We have a great recipe for that. You need to work with more of the soft butters and you will get exactly what you are looking for. You can request it by sending us an email info@osloveorganics.org. We will supply you all the ingredients.
Are you whipping it alone? You need to incorporate other butters and oils as it has a high melting point naturally. That is why it is used for making chocolate. You should include it in small amounts in body butters.
looking to buy from your store! which of your products does not harden after being whipped? shea butter still hardens and im looking for a butter that remains soft or "whipped"?

Hi Oslove, nice vid. I'd like to know what you recommend: I love cocoa butter, but when mixing up my concoction, it is difficult for the essential-oil scents to come through due to the overpowering chocolate scent. Which of your butters has the cocoa consistency without such an overpowering scent?
Several customers complained too so we responded to this issue by adding deodorized organic cocoa butter to our line up. It is not bleached so you can receive all the benefits of cocoa butter without the strong scent.
